The first part takes you on a trolley ride that goes around town in a trolley while hearing from a tour guide. This part definitely emphasizes on the historical parts of Savannah and it's interesting to see these sorts of buildings with a bit of narration. The 2nd half had us stop at an old building and when we walked in, we got an amazing show inside. Note that photography is not allowed during the show. Although the story was more theatrical-oriented than historical and sometimes gave a chuckle, the actors have a phenomenal performance, especially the priest narrator. Don't want to get in too much spoilers but it's entertaining to say the least. Overall, loved the unique experience of Savannah!

Last night my husband and I saw the new production of The Revolutionists. Previously, I worked and…read moretaught theater make-up, costuming and sets, and my husband was an actor and director. The script has great potential, but we were disappointed with the production. One actress screamed her way through the play, and the repeated knife jabbing was far too much. One actress, Andrea Frankle, was terrific in the role of Marie. The others lacked finesse and nuance in their character developments. Kudos to the set, lighting and costumer designers which were terrific. And finally, the most disappointing was from the Director. Some of staging was confusing and unnecessary, and often didn't allow the actresses to communicate well. If you are unfamiliar with the repertory theater, try them out. But for this production, I'd rate them 2.5 stars out of 5.

We saw the "J-Lo and Friends" (Juliette Gordon Lowe) show and it was amazing! The girls had so much fun before the show learning about the puppets and their history from Angela, during the show learning even more about the founder of the Girl Scouts in a fun, interactive environment, and after when the girls got to try out some of Angela's puppets. It was so much fun watching the girls express themselves through the puppets. When asked about their favorite activity during our trip, this was definitely at the top of the list. I am so glad that we discovered this gem of a show and plan to spread the word in my area so that other troops will get the opportunity to participate and watch with Angela and her people. Thanks, Angela! You made our trip THAT much better!

We bought tickets ahead of time and got there early to grab good seats and pop corn. The screen was more projector size and not a full wall movie theatre. The line to get inside and for concessions the last 15 minutes before the show started were extremely long. They also had a cute photo booth set up and I believe they were collecting donations for a charity by selling these pictures. The bathrooms were clean and the theatre was easy to navigate. For an $8 ticket, I'll for sure come back. Even if the movie is 20 years old!

She was engaging, knowledgeable, hilarious, and such a great storyteller. You could tell she truly loves what she does, and she made the whole group feel comfortable and entertained from start to finish. She answered questions, kept things moving, and added personal touches that made the experience feel special rather than scripted. Young talent comes from all over the US to perform here. SSTI brings in Broadway veterans to direct and manage the productions. That would have been OK if our quirky guide, Christina, was taking the time to talk about the history of the local cuisine, the details about the food we were eating or the places we were eating it, but we got none of that. At one place our food was waiting for us so we had no-longer-hot pork on mashed potatoes. The name of the tour includes pub crawl, but the beverages were NOT included in the tour. We've been on many food tours in the US and abroad, and I can say with confidence you should skip this particular one.
