If ever a store was aptly named it is Oddballs Nifty Thrift. If thrifting is your thing a visit to oddballs is in order. There are three rooms filled from floor to ceiling, literally. You can find anything from antiques, collectibles, dishes, clothes, even a very large wild boar head. I thought some of the prices were high however signs throughout the location indicate prices are negotiable. Staff was friendly and greeted everyone as they entered. There is a scavenger hunt with a prize if you find all the items. You can even buy your beer as you browse. I am sure some people spend hours here. There is limited parking along the side of the building on the street. I am not a thrifter but it was fun to browse Oddballs. read more

A wonderful shop filled with nostalgia and curated items. We spent about a couple hours in here. Unfortunately not much parking but they do have drinks for sale! Water, beer, sodas. What a fun shop I could have spent hours browsing and reminiscing about things from my past. Very willing to negotiate prices on some items I got a brand new padded backpack for $6 it was marked 8 I offered 5 and compromised at $6. A friend I was with bought 5 or 6 pieces of vintage Pyrex. read more

This was my 1st visit to this newer location. Much like the original, it is overflowing with antiques, vintage wonders, sports memorabilia, clothes, and just about anything you can imagine. This place is so interesting! I decided to stop by on the way back down from the beach since I love thrifting. What surprised me the most was the plants outside as well as the amount of outdoor decor. They have so many trinkets and furniture pieces inside as well that are very reasonably priced. The staff was extremely nice and welcoming. They made sure to greet me even thought the store was busy. Will be coming again! read more

I liked that they sold beer, wine and other beverages (to help in the decision making process as one staff member said) The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Despite being a consignment/thrift store, it's really well organized and not overly cluttered. Liked this fun, massive store full of vintage clothes, antiques and collectables. Many great finds. Clean and really neat store. Also there has a scavenger hunt list at the front door which was fun! This is my first time visiting the new location of Oddballs on Dixie Hwy in Oakland Park. I have previously shopped and loved their former location where I picked up a set of vintage Pyrex turquoise Butterprint bowls. They had a great outdoor area and several out buildings. The store was such a maze it felt like it never ended. There is almost no parking at the new location. You park down a side street on the side of the road. This new store feels smaller to me although they assured me it is larger. The good thing about the new location is it is in close proximity to a number of other thrift stores. Store sales still operate the same. You pick up an item from any of the vendors that consign with them and bring it up front where depending on the item you can try and price haggle. Merchandise includes a wide array of things including furniture, clothes, accessories, home goods, art, and seasonal decorations. On this outing I found a set of flamingo salt and pepper shakers. Marked at $30! a quick check online found numerous sellers pricing them at $10. I pointed out the inflated price at the register and was bluntly met with then you should buy it online. Wow wow wow I am obsessed, in love, in awe. I am an "expert thrifter" and this place is GOLD. It's is huge! With about 4 rooms of endless goodies. You can find anything from sports memorabilia to old-school sunglasses and letterman jackets and chinaware, you must visit this place! I got a beautiful metal garden piece shaped like a vintage bathtub, sunglasses, a beautiful necklace and an antique comic book. ALSO, when you get to the counter to check out they automatically give you money off of every item, it's basically heaven! read more

What a cool shop! I have had Oddballs on my list of places to visit in South Florida for quite some time now and we were finally able to stop by over the weekend. From the outside, you would have no ideas what kind of treasures are hidden inside! In a rather industrial area of town, this unique little shop would be easy to miss. There is not a lot of parking on the side of the building but we were able to find spots directly across the street. I love that this shop had an outdoor/garden center space! I was not expecting to be able to shop for plants and garden décor but they had a variety of options to spruce up your green spaces! When you walk inside, you immediately know you are somewhere special. Hand written, fun signs line the walls, or at least any spaces that aren't filled with antique and thrifted treasures. I don't know what I was more impressed with, the variety of items in this space or just how much they were able to squeeze in here without it feeling overwhelming! Even if you are overwhelmed by the vast selection, they offer $5 beers to sip on during your shopping experience! Overall this was a great experience, a truly unique thrifting/antique experience with friendly staff, a wide selection of items, all at very approachable prices. This is THE best thrift shop ever?! I was bored on Sunday and decided to look up "thrift stores near me". A couple of stores showed up before this one but a review from this store caught my eye and I decided to give it a try. I'm SO glad I did. This is the type of place you can spend HOURS even days in and still find new stuff to look at. They have SO much EPIC stuff. It's like a flea market but indoors...and you can buy adult drinks to sip on while browsing. For real this was a random find. Was waiting for a table across the street and had time to kill. Well this place is worthy of a destination than just a time killer. When you walk in you'll be overwhelmed. There's stuff to look at everywhere. Don't forget to look up at the ceilings too. They have games, comics, decore, furniture and much much more. Take a look. There's like 10 rooms worth all connected. Some of the areas are individual vendors but it all blends in. If anything just ask. There is also a spot outside for plants. Pretty large selection. If you find something you like you might be able to negotiate if you're polite. They also buy items of worth. A fantastic thrift store, you will find lots of gems, antique, semi antique items from everywhere in the world. The store is curated in a very interesting way. Its incredible how they kept the store, it's huge and has a wide variety of items from furniture to clothing. We discovered so many beautiful pieces of art and a few items that brought joy and happiness. When you finished visiting the inside you can see the outdoors plants section. It's very lovely! I've been coming to Oddball's old and new location for years and I love it every time. You can find some uniquely curated items, always a gem waiting for you here. The prices can be a bit steep, but they will work with you on the price if you make a reasonable offer. That's also the price you pay for a nicely curated store....instead of having to tredge through the dumpster dives yourself :) I've gotten vintage Pyrex here, a cool 1950s patio set, I almost walked home with a huge vintage lamp once (but my husband said no haha). Great finds, great customer service. Lately their fashion area has grown an impressive amount too with nice handbags and vintage dresses. That's pretty cool. read more

This detour was a last minute must experience on the way to the airport! This establishment is constantly voted in the top ten of thrift stores across North America! It's packed full of vendors with every single type of collectible and one of a kind tchotchkes you can imagine and hell some you wouldn't even begin to imagine! They have a scavenger hunt game that is a riot. Indoors, outdoors, we lost each other at some point and these were the photo clues we sent each other to find our way back together. The guys that own this beauty have dreamt of being thrift store proprietors since they were little. At least one of them had and then drug his bff along for the ride kicking and screaming! I have wanted to go here forever. Well, a long time at least. I love thrift stores and antique shopping. I love digging through old stuff. I love the history of it and seeing things my parents or friends used to collect. I like browsing and finding that one perfect item I can't live without... This store is 8 rooms of so much stuff -- from collectibles to antiques. You definitely can not see everything in one go round. This was our first time here. I like to walk around the perimeter of each room and then go up and down the aisles. Sometimes my brain goes on overload when there are too many things to take in. I saw some intriguing items, some interesting items, and even some possible purchases. There's everything from furniture to vintage clothing; paintings to bric a brac; large decor items to small souvenirs. I could tell immediately that I was missing more than half of everything. There are different vendors here. Each item is marked. Some items are grouped in collections and others are randomly placed on shelves and walls. Every nook and cranny has something. The staff are amenable to bargaining, though. I thought prices were pretty reasonable -- especially now in the off season. My husband found something he liked and bought it. It's the kind of place to come back to often. As stock changes... but also to see something you missed the first time or the sixth time. read more
