Unfriendly, rude, and snobish. When you come in, these two seniors (a man and a woman) do not greet you and rudely are very unfriendly. They sound lowbrow and uneducated! They are located in a street mall, which will be destroyed, and in the same location will be two five-story buildings (the City of Oakland Park is approving the construction). So, they will have to move. The place is loaded with old folks' stuff. It seems to me seniors bring a lot of stuff for them to sell. Very small place stuffed with too many things. You barely can walk inside. I do not recommend this place. First, they are unfriendly; second, they are rude; and third, the energy inside is very negative. This place gave me the creeps! We have bought many things from this consignment store. They have unusual furniture and while pricy, they are not crazy. We bought a bedroom set, electric fireplace/mantle, assorted chairs and tables. We were looking for Victorian style furniture and they had it. The bedroom set was pre-owned but they promised to get rid of all the scrapes, etc. They did an amazing job! The owner is from NY and a bit brusque at times, but he delivered our furniture when he promised and the pieces all looked great. Absolute rudest consignment store owner I've ever come into contact with. The store had dozens of free teeny tiny water bottles at the front for customers, so after looking at the selection for 20 minutes before we left, my boyfriend grabbed one. The owner CHASED us down the street SCREAMING at us that it was HIS water bottle and we needed to return it to him at once. So beautiful and elegant, Snooty Fox is an interior designers dream. As soon as we walked in we were offered coffee and wine. With the warm welcome and beautiful furniture my friend and I had a great time walking around exploring this store. The furniture is used but you would never know by looking at it. Pieces seem to be large and ornate and styles run from Mid Century to Contemporary. Everything was in perfect condition and artfully arranged. Some of my favorite pieces were the faux fireplaces so you can build a fake fire in sweltering South Florida to put you in the holiday mood and a marble bar that had me dreaming of serving up happy hour cocktails like I was in Mad Men. You can save 40 to 80 percent off high end brands. The longer it has been in the store the more you save. If you have furniture to sell they accept consignments. Besides furniture they sell home decor and jewelry. They had a lovely display of Polish pottery up at the front. On our visit they were having a red dot sale which was an additional 50 percent off. This place is gorgeous! Even if you are not looking for furniture or other house items, you will want to come here just for the ideas and to walk around. Each area is designed beautifully. The placement/groupings of all the consigned items really show them off in their best light. Someone here definitely has artistic design abilities in spades. Prices are the cheapest, but they aren't outrageous either. I actually bought something here that caught my eye -- a little jam/mustard jar with a lid and spoon. I probably could have gotten the same item on eBay for less, but who would actually search for something like that? Not me. It was cute and in my price range, so happy gift from me to me! The people here were very nice. They even offered us drinks while we browsed. We didn't take them up on the offer, but it was nice to be welcomed and greeted warmly. Both stores have the worst customer service. They posted an item that was already sold but told me it was available. I drove an hour to get the item and one store said to go to the other store to get it, we went there and the rude ass lady didn't even say good morning to us. Buyers beware! read more

I think the shop is probably pretty aptly named - snooty. This place is filled to the brim with furniture, lamps and chandeliers but aside from a variety of lamp styles it was all similar in style - large, ornate, dark, wooden, marble tops, lots of damask upholstery and leather - stately I guess you could say but it all blended together after a few minutes frankly. So many of the chandeliers were the same which was kinda curious. It's a great place if this is your style, everything was in very good to excellent condition though didn't find the prices very affordable considering it was all used. The name of the store surely is appropriate. The staff has attitude, lacks knowledge of furniture objects and miss represents everything. Most of the furniture is from China which means you Are getting pressboard not natural wood. If you do buy from the store especially sofas or chairs make sure you look at the inseam and under the cushions for bedbugs, this is very common in South Florida as our termites in furniture. read more

While I can appreciate everything Snooty has to offer, it just really wasn't my style. It's super interesting inside, and I do like unique/vintage pieces, so maybe I would come back to see what new items they bring in on another day. All the pieces they sell our antique/vintage and high quality. Just a little outdated and chunky for my particular apartment, but there is something for everyone with an open mind. Troy made us feel at ease, even walking us to the larger store adjacent, where they had beautiful beds. We needed delivery in a very short period of time and he made it happen. As huge new apt complex nearby and thinking about moving and always driving or walking by this place on walk to grocery store I stopped in. They could call this place "Snooty (another word)" as at the corner location a guy (the one who looks like he needs a better colorist) gave me a very disdainful look and actually sized me up TWICE (coming from gym and store but he looked at me like I was homeless). Snooty = 'showing disapproval or contempt toward others, especially those considered to belong to a lower social class') The ladies in the other larger store were joyful, friendly and delightful. Lots of great stuff, i.e., many things that appear are out of a chateau or a manor house or the à la Vienna (Freud) chaise longue- very nice top drawer stuff! Ok, some folks may like this place but I found it tacky and nouveau riche. All the furniture was made by the same furniture manufacturer. It was ALL Huge, Big overbearing pieces that would only fit in a new McMansion-hence the tacky nouveau riche comment. I prefer Classic well made & understated Antique furniture that doesn't look like you're trying to convince everyone of how much money you're worth! Be sure when you make a purchase with them that they give you ALL the right pieces to your purchase. I picked up my purchase instead of delivery. They already had it pulled out and ready. I go home to put my $400 dollar purchase together and I can't put my box spring or mattress in because what the pieces they sent me home with for the bed slats didn't fit anything. Actually they gave me something that didn't fit my bed. I told the woman Lynn, I even made a video to show her, that they do the below get with my purchase. She was so nice each time I shopped the store, but when I made her aware of this she became very shrewd. Her answer immediately was "i'm not coming out of pocket for anything. You got a really good deal on the bed. If I happen to have some slats the same length as yours you can come pick them up". Again she tells me she's not coming out of pocket to pay anything! My reply in a calm demeanor to her was "are you saying because I got an $800 bed that the Snooty Fox put on sale down to $400 is justification for me to not expect to get everything that comes with the bed? I thought i wad paying for a used bed that came with everything". I guess the fact that she thinks I got a really good deal is why she feels like I should not have a problem with the fact that all of the parts are not there. And I would have been ok if i knew that before the purchase! Then I decide if I want it in that condition or not. It should be the customers knowledge if your runinng a nice fair place of business. The Snooty Fox should know before selling items if the are correct or not. Beware you wouldn't think that this would happen by looking at the clean place, with great expensive used item and her very welcoming demeanor initially. She told me it's not expensive to go have them made at Home Depot. I was just hoping that she would do the right thing be fair and replace them! They're not expensive right?! Lol. Great items just be careful this doesn't happen to you, because you're going to be out of luck. I had plans to go back and spend so much more $$ with them.
