    Great selection.

Great cardamom bomb, bear claws and assorted pastries for our drive out of Salmon. Friendly staff and locals. Would repeat if ever in town again.

This is a one of a kind, hole in the wall, artists, paradise in the middle of a tiny mining town. It is a exposed brick haven/cozy nook with the best baked goods I've ever tasted, diesel coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Every single thing that is made here is made with immense love and care. We had the breakfast sandwiches which were build your own. They give you a little piece of paper to fill out and check off all the ingredients you wanted. I ordered a bacon provolone and egg sandwich with basil, aïoli, greens, and a toasted croissant. It was so delicious, the eggs were so fluffy. It was perfectly made. Also, it was huge and very satisfying, and not very expensive. The baked goods were perhaps even more mouthwatering. The chocolate chip pumpkin muffin left us gasping in awe of its perfect density, lightness, and flavor. If consisted of light, fluffy butter, and a constellation of delicious semi sweet, chocolate chips. It was everything you've ever won in a muffin. The edges of the muffin were crispy and baked to perfection. We also had the cardamom croissant. That was rolled in sugar, and it was to die for. There is plenty of seating for everyone. The interior is immaculately decorated with art that you can buy off the wall. This place supports local artists and has a very cool selection of oil, acrylic and watercolor landscapes. I love the entire concept, and I will return it I ever have the chance. I came all the way from Massachusetts for this as it was exactly what I needed. This place is a gem of the west.

Favorite tea that they sell is the elderberry healer. We love to stop in and grab items to go for the road. They are wonderful about letting you use your own Tupperware. Save the earth! And more spill-proof and secure anyway.

This is the sandwich. Find it. Buy it. Eat it.

You could just tell walking in that you walked into the right place. Smiling, attentive people behind the counter... LOTS of quality product (especially the sandwiches) sitting in the display case and, as it turns out, a very good cup of coffee. It wasn't an accident... I didn't just catch them at the right moment... this is a tight operation that delivers the goods. It's not painfully watching some lunk-head assemble your sandwich as he drags your tray down the row of bins of shredded lettuce and chopped tomato... it's adult, tight sandwiches, built with thought and care just waiting to be heated, if desired, or ready to chow straight from the case. Don't confuse that with tired old sandwiches that have been sitting in the case for hours because there is no turnover. These were the shit. In a good way. My friend went across the street to eat and was not happy when he came back from lunch and took a look at my world class ham and cheese on really good crusty-but-soft bread. Focaccia? Baguette? I don't remember and I think I ate it too fast to really comprehend the details.

This is a must-stop place for everyone! Their pastries, sandwiches and drinks are amazing. I'm a big fan of the ham and cheese croissant.

The food was good, but pretty overpriced for the breakfast sandwiches as well as much of the merchandise.

We're on our…read moreway from WA to MT and with long stretches between towns, we were hungry when we pulled into Salmon and almost made the mistake of playing it safe (and being bored ) with the "Other Place" up the street. But when you're on an adventure, you do adventurous things, right? So glad we did! Hubby ordered a Grilled Ham n Cheese and I went with a Mushroom Swiss Burger. They proudly customize burgers any way you want! I also noticed and appreciated that the burger patties were hand smooshed instead of mechanically squeezed to death (it sure looked a lot bigger than your typical franchise burgers!). There were several high schoolers doing a great job handling the kitchen and taking orders! Hubby attacked his GH&C sandwich too quickly so I didn't get a pic, but they were very generous with the ingredients and he enjoyed every bite. After reading some of the past reviews, it looks like the new owners have really turned things around. Kudos to them! We look forward to making this stop a habit when visiting the grandkids!
