Pete Bialewski did a seahorse on my inner arm. The original appointment was pushed back a couple of days because he wanted more time to refine the base sketch. When I went back to have it done, I was floored by the effort he'd put into it. Along with doing a color study & a lot of internet research (I learned things about seahorses just from what he told me he'd found out while looking at online images), he put a lot of time into a detailed & painstaking image that is definitely one of the best tattoos I've gotten so far (I'm past the 20 mark now). I was so impressed that he treated it with such care & thought. It's something that will be on my body for the rest of my life & I'm always grateful to find a tattoo artist who really "gets" that, & who treats it as seriously as I do. In addition to his fantastic work, I found the shop to be very different from other tattoo & piercing shops I have been to. It's almost set up more like an art gallery. The ambience is calm, the space is clean, calming, & well-designee. I'll be going back to Pete for whatever work I want to have done in the future, & I'd recommend both Pete & Oddity without a second thought. read more

I was overwhelmingly surprised by how fantastic my whole experience with this place was. I came to get my first tattoo expecting it to be a very painful process followed by weeks of unpleasant healing, but i was pretty far off. Their customer service is great and everyone I talked to was super helpful and friendly including my artist, Jesse, who was really nice and did a great job of making sure I was comfortable the whole time. He's an amazing artist and my tattoo came out exactly how I wanted it to. I've gotten tons of compliments and recommend the artist and the shop to everyone who asks. It hasn't even been two weeks yet and my tattoo is almost completely healed. Immediately after I got it I was up and walking around without any pain. I never really had to deal with any discomfort when the bandaid came off and it looks fantastic. I highly recommend this place to everyone but especially people who want to get their first tattoo. I went to Oddity for my first tattoo and everything about this place deserves 6 stars! They were so helpful, I called and got their email address and via email and phone Mel helped me create a mod up. I came up with an idea and basic out line and they put it together and it turned out to be exactly what I wanted! The tattoo looks great and is healing very well, I could not be happier with it! Matt did my tattoo and did a great job! He made me feel very comfortable during the whole experience. I also very much appreciate how clean he was with his work area. As i filled out my paper work everything was wiped down and cleaned. Handles were wiped, and rewrapped in plastic. Very very clean. Oddity tattoo is amazing! I'm certainly not your typical person doing a review for a tatto shop, I'm a 65 years old grandmother & this was my FIRST tattoo.... a birthday present from my son. Getting a tattoo has been on my bucket list forever, but I wanted to be sure. Will was very patient w/me & all my questions. I was getting a dragonfly & wasn't 100% sure what I wanted or what to expect. Will explained the procedure, the needed aftercare & helped me tweek my design for the best results. The color is amazing, it's more than I hoped it would be. Many of the designs on the walls made me wish I was 40 years younger & could handle getting a dragon or one the many other brillantly drawn brightly colored works of art. I came into Oddity Tattoo never having had a tattoo before. Scott greeted me and walked me through the process. I knew what I wanted so left a drawing with him and scheduled my appointment for the following Saturday. I couldn't be happier with my first tattoo! Scott did an excellent job, looks exactly like my drawing. Everyone at the shop is just fantastic, friendly and professional. A few weeks later they followed up by email to see if my tattoo healed up well. I had just been showing it off and let them know it was terrific and I would be back for more. Oddity has been my go-to tattoo shop for years. They are clean, professional, kind, and patient. There isn't a single tattoo that hasnt "WOW"d me! I stand in line at Publix and strangers are always complimenting the work Oddity artists did. All my friends have been to Oddity at least once. I visited Sarasota in May and Matt did a butterfly tattoo on my inner wrist. It was very detailed for as small as it was. I returned to Florida in July and called to see if Matt would touch up the purple and white (it faded a little after healing and was not because of Matt, just hard colors to get to last). I setup an appointment to get my very first tattoo on my 18th birthday. The shop was very clean and everyone was wearing a mask. Matt was very patient with me and printed out multiple different sizes to help me pick which one I liked the most. He explained the entire process to me as he tattooed me, as well as explaining the healing process in detail so I would know what to expect.
