Overall could have been better. It may be barely okay - but not safe. PT and OT were good…read more Staff for the most part were friendly - not always competent. I had to wait long times for help to get to and from bathroom. Doctor and PT said that I was to have help getting into and out of wheelchair. Even when they came, they only watched, didn't help. At one time I was told to just do it myself - not to bother them. The worst was the private Care Conference scheduled for a conference room. The previous person overstayed, was not told she had to leave, and so my meeting was held in the hallway - most likely against HIPAA. Private information was openly revealed where others could hear. And, little if any suggestions were valid for when I was to go home. One suggestion was just to sell my house. Food was ok, but usually cold. Twice when I ordered ala carte, I got the standard meal. Breakfast was ok, but often not what I ordered. A number of times a nurse tech woke me from sound sleep to ask how I was doing. I arrived on Tuesday after four days in bed in the hospital. I asked for a shower - told not today, but tomorrow. Asked every day and finally got a shower on Friday. Had to "beg" to get a shower twice a week. Staff allowed roommate to have loud company one evening to nearly midnight. I had to ask for a bill. I messaged, emailed, and called. I finally got one that showed I was 120 days past due. I had not even been at Manzano Del Sol 120 ago when I got the bill -- and my insurance paid the first 20 days. Also - if I pay by credit card they will charge me over $100 extra. I would suggest trying another facility for your rehab if you have a choice.

I wish I could give 0 stars. DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES TO…read moreTHIS PLACE. It seems like the people that work here are fed up with their jobs and just want the residents to rot in their beds. My mom had to stay in this hell hole for a month, which was gravely short staffed and over worked. Violeta a female tech, made fun of my mom in front of her face for not being able to walk. My mom suffers from a neurological disease that causes her to basically become paralyzed. Because she was unable to walk, Violeta made fun of her for that, calling her dramatic. My mom was often left soaked in diapers for hours which gave her a uti which they tested her for and two weeks later her results came back "negative" but then they realized it was "positive". She ended up getting a bed sore that my mom's friend had to point out and Manzanos response was that they won't do anything about it until it's a stage 3 bed sore. This place is a money hungry hell hole that lies to their residents. They quoted my mom $250 for a transport and once the transport was done they said it was $450. I would highly recommend all the people with their negative reviews to report this place to Ombudsman 18664512901. There have been a few CNAS at this place who were compassionate and amazing. Those nurses are Anastasia, Destiny, Shana & Mabel. Kitchen staff and food was great.

First a big thank you to Lovelace case management for getting me in here. I am 66 AND worked in…read morehealthcare admin last position as a division CFO for a company called Continental Rehab Systems which merged with Healthsouth. I am probably one of the most sympathetic people to the difficulties of the industry. After a broken femur in my hip I was transferred from Lovelace to Advanced. First note was started by Physical Therapists. And is a beautiful facility which is saying a lot because in my last job we opened 3 new facilities in different western states. So I have seen new facilities and have also seen SNF's aka skilled nursing facilities. There is a reason Ron Bell the "attorney" always talks about them The staff is really good specially the therapists, OT's and PT's. Kind knowledgeable and they listen. The nursing staff is mostly good and especially the day nurses. As with ANY hospital the doc may have one opinion, the nurses another, the therapists another and the PA's and NP's another. This is called healthcare and it is just getting worse with all the government issues. I pray they are not too adversely affected by the inevitable government cuts. Also you HAVE to advocate for yourself and your loved ones if it is them who are here. Believe it or not docs and clinical staff are human. And unless YOU (like me) are the patient you truly have no idea what the patient is feeling and going through. I have been very verbal about my concerns and there have been issues but the staff listened. Did they always agree, no. Were we able to come to mutually acceptable conclusions, pretty much every situation. If you sit back and bitch quietly it only affects your mental health. And note I have a mother in law who does this at the facility she is at in CA. If you don't like the current healthcare situation (don't even get me started on Optum) read, talk to your NM reps, read about what is going on with the government and best go into the industry. Albuquerque is woefully understaffed. At every facility. Compared to when I was in healthcare the demands and hours are much crazier. So unless you speak up don't complain. I am still at facility and am very happy to be here. Will update post discharge.

Also they didn't give her pain medications for 8 hours when she needed it. I worked here as an LPN 12 years ago. I wouldn't recommend. I was very disappointed when I worked there at their patient safety standards. And now I'm even more so. The facility looks very nice and home-y. But I remember the med carts always missing the medications some patients needed. And techs I worked with were not great at that time. Patients had a lot of neglect. They need more techs or nurses there. Too cheap to hire more? As an RN of 14 years with an advanced practice degree I am extremely extremely dissatisfied with the company's inability to prioritize patient safety.

Be warned They are chronically understaffed. If you don't mind you loved one waiting 30 minutes…read morefor a response on their nurse call buttion this might be a place for you. The issue here is the call system was working, it showed the call at the nurses station, but there was no alarm after 10 minutes of being not answered. The facillties service level is it should be answered in 10 minutes. My relative was helped into the bathroom and forgotten for an hour in his wheel chair. He could not signal for help. The food looks like the cheapest food they could find. As a good point they made efforts to meet dietary requests, as they should. The staff was helpful when they were available. My guess is the money is being siphoned off into director salaries and not being used for everyday staffing. The excuse was they were short staffed that day. If it only happend once I wouldn't be warning other folks this this review. Something happend every day. We are looking for other facilities.

Medicare coverage ended on 7/4 Because we needed to find a Memory Care Facility for him, we paid the estimate given of $1424 for the additional 4 days. We have now received an additional billing of $1245.92 for therapies done on those 4 days We were never given an estimate for this amount. We only expected the room and board for those 4 days till we had a place for him to go. In general husband's care was marred by a general lack of communication. Never met or conversed with a physician. Husband was itchy and had a rash on the weekend, without seeing him in person (that I know of) an antiviral was prescribed on the chance he had shingles. When I asked days later, I was told he did not have shingles. I had difficulty getting information even re: his showers. There was a team meeting re: husband's care ... Notice was given to husband who put it in a drawer and never gave it to me DEMENTIA... In general I had difficulty reaching administrative or medical personnel....frequently not on site. This facility needs an active Patient advocate.
