I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this place. Plenty of space to walk around, stretch your legs and mingle, and they have some games setup to play as well, such as foosball if I remember correctly. The staff were fun and engaging with fast service, considering we came in with a fairly large party. There were many tables throughout the joint, including bar seating and an upstairs which I did not check out. I also liked the open garage door setup, allowing patrons to wander in and out freely. I did not inquire about the eggs for sale, but perhaps I would next time - if I was going home straight after to refrigerate! Enjoyed a fantastic time at Oden over the weekend as part of their annual "Running of the Leprechauns" 5k and subsequent after party. Always enjoy our time when we visit Oden, their beer is always delicious, the outdoor space is huge, and behind the building, so not stuck listening to busy traffic on the road like some of the other patios in the area. I was looking up breweries I while on vacation and saw that Greensboro have a high rated Brewery which is Oden brewing company. It's located in what looks to be an old fire station which the building is beautiful. I walk in and am immediately greeted. The beer tender explain their beers and some of the most popular and seasonal beers currently available. I was able to sample a few while call were delicious but I absolutely love the brew make with coffee... OMG!!! It was so good! It was called meow something sorry I cant remember the entire name. I ended up buying 4 cans to go that they fill up fresh to order. I highly recommend this place. I only drank one beer due to alcohol content and I still had a 1.5 hr drive back to my destination. I will definitely be back. The only down side is the didn't serve food when I was there and there were no food truck at the time I arrived. They may have food truck later in the evening though. I will be back when I am back in NC it's worth visit and if you are in the Greensboro area it's a must try. read more

Oden has become my absolute favorite brewery in Greensboro, and a go to spot to meet up with friends for any kind of occasion ESPECIALLY if the weather is nice. Their backyard and porch area is hard to equal for an urban oasis type setting, and there is usually an interesting food truck on hand. Speaking of interesting, all beer drinkers will be at home here. They have an option for you no matter your fancy, or if you are like me and want to get something different with each trip to the bar. On my most recent trip, I started with an amber, then walked into a gose, a wheat, and then finished with an imperial stout. All were very tasty, all made in house. It's been a pleasure visiting this place as it improved every year. They have a great outdoor patio area with wonderful shade during the summer and cool musical acts that come around. I'm a huge sucker for beers with really different and cool name labels..when I saw this place had names like "deliberate disregard ale", " and "Hints of Allegations Juicy IPA", I HAD to come check it out. Also, cool games to play and would be great for groups. I played a round of checkers with my man. I ordered "The Bavarian Job" Hef. It was nice, little bit of banana notes which I always look for in a hef. Not amazing, but good. I did a tasting of the "Oaty-Wan Kenobi Oatmeal Stout" but it was not smooth enough for me . I must have forgotten to leave a review in the past. I've been numerous times and it's a cool brewery to spend the evening at. They typically have live music and food trucks on the weekend. They also put together a comedy show Saturday nights at 9pm. We had some Mediterranean food, enjoyed live music, the rocking chairs on the patio is my favorite about this brewery, and people watched (children playing and having fun). I've been to over 100 breweries and I have to say that the decor/interior etc. of this place is the tops of all of them. They took a couple years restoring and rebuilding an old Ginger Ale factory and man, they killed it. They have lots of seating inside and out, shaded seating that wraps around the outside, two stories of inside seating and a nice, long bar. Seriously, you should go just to see how cool it is inside. I also love that virtually all of their beers are 6 dollars a pint. They pull this off by running most beers at about 4.5 to 6 percent ABV, nothing too high in alcohol content. Maybe a dozen taps with 1 or 2 variations of the major styles, but also a saison or two. Beer guy was plenty nice and let us sample a few for free, but if you're a flight person, they don't do them here. I had a couple different beers here and enjoyed both, but it is the building and how they rebuilt and decorated it that will keep me coming back every single time I visit Greensboro. They also have a free parking lot on the side and in the back and their Wifi was solid gold and free just like 'merica! Oden is a keeper and in my opinion, a gem for Greater Greensboro/Triad area. Pro tip: ask your beertender for a sticker, they give them out for free, just like all breweries should. read more

This is an awesome spot in Greensboro! Some friends and I were brewery hopping by train on a Saturday and this was our first stop. We walked a mile or two from the station to Oden. It was 11:30 when we arrived so only two other people were there. The interior has a unique vibe ... I'd say it's a weird mix of western, funk and nostalgia. The bartender was helpful and engaging. Be sure to head onto the covered patio. There are bunches of rocking chairs and tables, plus even more picnic tables spread across the lawn. There's a small stage so I'm assuming they have live music. There's a busy rail corridor that runs behind the brewery. My group spent a good amount of time watching the freight trains go by (sometimes 4 wide on the tracks). It was intriguing. I can't remember what I got (think two sours), but they were both good. I recently visited Oden for a monthly board meeting for my local young professionals group. Thanks to the weekly schedule they post on their Instagram, I was prepared ahead of time for there to be trivia on a Tuesday evening. After assessing available seating options for noise level both inside and outside, I settled on a picnic table outside near the beer ordering window. With it being wedged between two buildings it did a pretty good job of cutting down on the trivia chatter. Board meetings are always better with a beverage, so I ordered the Bazooka Circus DIPA. At 9% it was dangerously easy to drink this beer. I loved the greeness of the aroma and citrus finish. Sadly I had to limit myself to one or driving would have been an issue. I do love the steam punk saloon type vibe going on here and obviously others do too. There's been a decent crowd everytime I've visited. They offer lots of great live concerts in their outdoor space. In particular I previously enjoyed performances by the UNCG Keyboard Studies group. Oden definitely does a great job of attracting folks of all walks of life through movie nights, trivia, and food trucks. Looking forward to trying another brew during my next visit! read more

I came here on 1/30/21 around 5:10pm with friends. We just left from Breakout Games! We are basically bar hopping at this point lol. It was really busy here! Outside was packed!! They had life music. Inside was less packed. Masks are required and tables appeared socially distanced. Personally, I'm not a beer person. Two of the others in group aren't either. This place only has beers and no cocktails, sadly. One didn't get anything. 2 of the guys got beers. One girl and myself got the 911 Tropical Cider. We got to try it first. It wasn't that bad. It was only $6. I tried some other ginger cider and it was a no for me. I'm not a fan of ginger. Sarah was the bartender that served me. She was very helpful and friendly!! There is a foosball table. Sadly there's no wine list or other drink menu because it seems that it rotates a lot. Wanting something lighter next I went to a seltzer. They only had one flavor but it was a win (strawberry kiwi).
