Another local brewery in the books. Apparently this isn't their main location, but I was glad to try the brews there. Inside is pretty small and some of the tables are communal seating. The bar area was also very small. They didn't offer any food options, but it's a great place to stop and grab a beer or glass of wine after work. The bartender was super friendly and let me try a couple of things before I decided on a pint. They also do half pours

Forgotten roads is a nice hidden gem on North side of town. They have a nice cozie location that Is comfortable inside and several tables outside during nice weather. They have a great selection of bourbon and the bartenders are very knowledgeable about what they have. I tried a couple of their craft beers and they were new and taste good. Price is average and they run weekly specials like half off IPA on Wednesday s, which is what I had. I would go back.

Wife and I were walking around this area at North Elm Village for the first time and we happen to bump into this amazing little brewery. What a fun spot! Cozy inside with a patio outside, great craft beers on tap with plenty of choices for non-beer drinkers as well. I had a hazy IPA which was crisp with plenty of taste. My wife had a cider since she's not a beer drinker and was pleasantly surprised as well. They also have wine and liquor with plenty of choices. Events to bring the community together all week long, including trivia nights, live music, bourbon Thursdays, and even bring your pet nights. The staff was unbelievably friendly as well. We will definitely be frequenting this place often.

Finally!! Just what this shopping center needed. FRA is a welcomed addition to the area and a really cool spot. Conveniently located near many dining options, with plenty of parking. The beer selection is extensive, and there is also wine and liquor available. I tried the Citra Sunshine and the Rhubarb Boysenberry. Both delicious! The inside is extremely cute and cozy, I love the decor! There are also games available for patrons to play while enjoying their beverages. It's pretty small so if it's busy, plan to sit on the nice open patio. Our bartender was super welcoming and friendly. I love that there's trivia on Wednesdays and Veteran night on Thursday. Will definitely be back!

This area sure needed a nice Brewery with great owners, staff and people. Forgotten Road Ales (FRA) is owned and managed by veterans, what an honor! They offer great beers, ciders, wines, snacks and they also offer coffee beans roasted by veterans as well. The place has an amazing vibe, very cozy, is just perfect to stop by for one or two or three cold ones right after work. Plenty of space to park in a very cool area at the North Elm Village Shopping Center. FRA is just between Panera and Barberitos on Pisgah Church. 100% Recommended!

The tuna was fresh, flavorful, and overall the dish tasted great. My only critique is that there was hardly any quinoa. When I hear "quinoa bowl," I picture something more like a rice bowl where quinoa is the main base -- but this felt more like a salad with a small scoop of quinoa. Still good, just a little misleading name-wise. Drinks were solid, staff was nice and friendly, and service was smooth. Total came to $57.94, which felt a little pricey for what we ordered, but not outrageous for the area and waterfront location. Also worth noting: they are not pet-friendly inside, so keep that in mind if you're out with your pup. Overall -- great food and good drinks, just slightly pricey and the bowl name set different expectations.

It's a wonderful "hang out and have a few drinks while catching up spot." But now they've added a much improved food menu that really has a lot of options and even some late-night eats which I'm sure is popular. They've also rounded out the drinks offerings a bit more than the last time I was here a few years ago.
