Remax DFW realtor Vicki Crow did not perform a background check on a rental tenant that was…read morespecifically authorized by the tenant on a rental application provided by the realtor that the landlord relied upon. By not performing the background check that was authorized by the tenant, I incurred thousands of dollars in damages and legal fees from a tenant that had several family violence arrests and recent evictions on their record, as well as no longer being employed. None of this was disclosed on their application. Beware signing any rental listing agreement with Remax DFW that doesn't explicitly require the realtor to perform a tenant background check as described in the rent application also provided by Remax DFW and realtors. Remax DFW Mark Wolfe president responded that performing any verification of information on the rental application is a courtesy, but not required unless specifically stated in the listing agreement. Remax DFW president Mark Wolfe states that their agents merely list the properties but are not responsible for checking the applicants background despite being authorized to do so on their rental application.

We spent months casually looking at listings online and texting about them. He saw many houses with us, available at a moment's notice and not even remotely pushy--he was more cautious about finding the perfect house than we were! When it was time to make an offer, he was an incredible advocate for us. Richard was extremely diligent about finding any potential defects with the house. He is a fair but firm negotiator, always interacting with the seller in good faith. Richard was an absolute life saver throughout escrow. So I will have to file for $20,000 since they dont want to pay me. The relator took money from us to give to her handyman to fix roof. He didn't fix. Also inspector never went in Attic are he would have seen mice. People like this are untrustworthy the report number with TREC is #260840.

Only a day after my husband accepted a new job, I was getting nowhere trying to schedule viewings for rental homes on my own. While trying to schedule a viewing, I connected with Jean, who was able to schedule TWELVE viewings less than 24-hours later! She spent the next day showing us around to different homes, striking out one after the other. She never let us get too discouraged, just explained the market and encouraged us to keep looking. As soon as we found an online listing that seemed perfect, Jean offered to go way out of her way to view the house for us (since we were living 3 hours away) to verify that it was as perfect as it seemed online. One of my friends had recently had a great home buying experience and referred me to his realtor Holly Scott. From the initial phone call, she put both of us at ease. She asked a lot of background questions to get a feel for what we were looking for. She then put me in contact with the mortgage lender that she works with to get preapproved and set our budget. This was a fantastic experience as well. The two of them work extremely well together and were able to get everything in order with very few hang ups. The shopping process had its challenges, but Holly was a lifesaver. She was able to use her expertise to narrow down a lot of our searches. We saw a lot of houses and she was always able to point out things (positive and negative) that my wife and I would not have thought about. We made a couple of offers that did not end up being accepted, and as frustrating as this was Holly kept us positive and we just kept searching. In the end we found the home that we loved more than any of the ones we had previously offered on. Holly helped us coordinate everything between the offer and the closing. She recommended a fantastic home inspector and did a great job helping us understand the inspection results. She helped us determine which issues we wanted to address and got quite a few great concessions from the seller including a carpet allowance and money at closing to help with minor repairs. Holly was also instrumental in coordinating with the listing agent so that we could get access to the house for a carpet estimate so that we could have the new carpet installed on closing day so we could move in immediately. We've been in the new house for two weeks and couldn't be happier or more excited.
