A very tasty lobster roll on a brioche bun (rather than a mediocre hog dog bun) with tater chips really hits the spot. Order from the boardwalk and have it winched up to you on a rope by a charming gal. Cute!!!! But only at certain times - I came on a late Friday afternoon and it wasn't open. You get off the train, get onto the boardwalk and it's a few steps along. $15 is stretching it a bit for boardwalk food - putting it closer to the usual $18+ in the city and Pret's Maine Lobster bun at $8. Especially as I could have eaten another one right after. (How about a twofer deal - 2 for $20?). Gonna try the fish tacos next! read more

Decided to go for the eclipse today and wanted to try food trucks after. Well I wanted the gyro but went with the lobster seafood roll and the suggestion of the gal in the truck. Ok it it for a star off for the size but nothing else trust me it was UNBELIEVABLE good. Went to a place recently and their lobster was rubbery. Ok if o can figure it out ok going with 5 stars after thinking about the other places feeding me fake lobster lol. read more

Perfect snack for a perfect beach day. The truck is right on the sand near a swimming area, so it's easy to grab a bite and get back to lounging in the sun. My friend and I shared the waffle fries, which were DELICIOUS. Can't wait to go back and try the tacos! Also, the truck is named after an adorable French bulldog. Absolutely LOVED the food! Not only is it stationed at a super convenient location, but there are also a good amount of options that you can choose from. I personally went for simple chicken tenders and waffle fries and they were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, just PERFECT. The price was affordable and the staff was awesome! I would totally recommend this food truck to EVERYONE that goes to Long Beach. Definitely trying out the tacos next time. :) read more

Super solid four.seven star review. If you've ever gone to Long Beach and have your stomach grumbling for some good eats, then look no further than Odie's Ocean Grill. The food truck is literally centered on the beach and it's in one of the most convenient locations. One of the entrances from the boardwalk to the food truck is literally less than one hundred feet away. There really isn't anything negative I can say about the second-year summer food truck. They're famous for their lobster rolls and there's every reason to be. How often is it that you actually get to eat Lobster Rolls on the beach? In addition to that, it tastes great and the serving size is just right to keep you satisfied but not too full and bloated to get in the water a little later. I'd also recommend the Fish Tacos. They were freaking great. The crispiness of the fish when I bit into the tacos had my salivating for more that I ended up finish my two tacos real quick. And if you're just looking for something to munch on, get the waffle fries! When they're fresh there's this crisp deliciousness that gets you with ever bite. Lastly, the Hot Dogs are so much better than your typical New York city Nathan's hot dog cart. I don't know what brand Odie's uses, but those dogs were inescapable goodness. The staff is friendly and quick about getting you your food as well. That is always a plus especially when you're hungry from a whole day of swimming and hanging out at the beach. Hopefully I'll be able to hit up the beach one more time and try other items on the menu. I was eyeballing Crispy Chicken Wrap any time someone ordered it. Oh yeah, legend has it that Odie's was named for a French Bulldog...I think pretending that Odie The French Bulldog being there makes the experience a whole lot nicer. Make sure to bring cash! this is really nice to have at the beach. It is a food truck on the sand. $14 for the lobster roll but they actually put a generous helping of fresh lobster in the toasted potato bread roll, potato chips on the side. fresh celery, not too much mayo on the lobster. they also have fish tacos which I will try one day. the staff are young, helpful,cute and their cash register is an iPad. the say cash only but they have taken my debit card twice. (who goes to the beach loaded with cash, anyway???) Odie's has a happy summer vibe. read more

The food is healthy and delicious. I really enjoyed the location. The tables near the truck provide a nice place to refresh in the shade. Really great selection of beverages and food. what a fun little gem located right on Long Beach! my girlfriends and i stumbled upon it this past weekend and had such a great experience. the food was awesome, they were playing Jack Johnson, and the staff was really friendly and personable -- they accommodated our every request and insisted that we stay and make ourselves comfortable at the table and brought our food to us. i'm a total sucker for tacos and anything beachy, and this was possibly my fave food truck experience yet. will definitely return! read more

I haven't had the other food but the lobster roll at this place is spot on! Packed with meat, not mayo, and delicious. I haven't had anything else there, but my GF likes the turkey wrap when she gets it. Definitely worth a try if you find yourself on Long Beach looking for a good lunch! read more
