Sometimes in the summer Queens Diner will host a drive inn movie, with the Diner serving along with a Rock A Billie band...again the host and waitresses step up to make sure everyone is served with a smile and a friendly thanks that you come again. Definitely our last attempt!!! It would be helpful and appreciated if you used social media as a form of communication. This is the third time we've drive more than two hours to visit your diner for us to find out it's closed. You posted tryout hours of business which includes being open today. If you are not open, that's a perfect time to make a post. It would also be helpful if you had a phone number that was in use. The root beer float came with ice cubes which was odd, for a diner my friend was not impressed. My crispy chicken burger for $13.95 was just a frozen chicken patty with lettuce, tomato and mayo. I chose a salad with French dressing and the lettuce was very fresh like it was just cut from the head five minutes before! The 50/50 burger was not greasy but didn't have much bacon taste, they could probably improve on that one. Another two friends had the chicken cordon bleu which they said was quite good except the mashed potatoes was a bit dry and may not be real potatoes. We paid our bills individually at the till and my friend discovered the smoky burger special was $19.95! Definitely not worth it but it was very tasty. You're probably going to be called honey, sweety, or darling at least once during your meal, so you should be okay with these little informalities, sugar. I like a place that makes a point of keeping your coffee filled up, and this one does it well. You're unlikely to run dry on coffee until you tell them you don't need any more - and if you do run out, you'll get a refill as soon as you see the next waitress walk by.
