Bumped from two stars to three for these reasons:…read more 1) The company took responsibility for a mistake that triggered a $200 fine from IRS, and refunded me for it. Thanks. 2) I was able to reach my accountant on the phone easily during the peak season, and he gave me a quick answer in a few hours - during the weekend. Still, my experience was less than satisfactory. (1) The return that the team prepared had two mistakes, which I spotted and saved myself 6,000$. This is the exact opposite of H&R Block Second Look - I was the second look! (2) There was an additional mistake that triggered a review by IRS, which costed me $200 (refunded by Dimov, as mentioned). You don't want to get reviewed by IRS. (3) Even if I started uploading my documents early, big stuff in February and March 3 (with some small updates for few hundred dollars coming later), the return was ready only on April 6, and the signature docs only on April 8. Add the weekend, and we got REALLY close to the deadline. They even suggested filing for an extension... due to their own delay. (4) My accountant was incorrect about the safe harbor and about AMT cost basis. It took multiple messages to clarify the issues, and one question was eventually escalated to his manager, who initially missed the point and gave me an unrelated answer. After multiple messages, where I quoted the tax law, we were at last in agreement. (5) The free Q4 2025 tax estimate took a month (from Nov 7 to Dec 4) after being bounced from one person to another. I ended up doing it myself and it was just double-checked by their team. (6) The team used this Q4 estimate in my return, instead of the actual values from the previous year, requiring me to scan the return line by line to find incorrect data. (7) Through the process, I received messages from 13 different people. Only one of them appears on LinkedIn or any Google search. Draw your own conclusion about this. (8) They offered me a tax-estimate package where they would help me estimate my quarterly payments. This was priced as 3 hours at 360$. Does it take 3 hours to scrape a few bank statements for data (AI is really good and fast) or 3 hours to run their software on these numbers? Come on, this is 2026. Really, not what I was expecting.

After working on our case for a couple of weeks, he met us at the office on Saturday morning for final signatures. I have always done my own taxes and thought I was pretty good at it, but now I know better. I would have paid lots more than necessary and never would have thought of "little things" like filing state taxes individually vice jointly. In future, I'll go to PITC and let the experts handle it. It more than paid for itself, and it's nice to let Joe do the heavy lifting. Very friendly service. Also well-connected with businesses in Plymouth in case you need a recommendation

For example I asked for confirmation that my taxes were filed because the deadline passed without a heads up. Then, I asked before the estimated tax payment quarterly deadlines if he would send my vouchers and instructions as promised. My emails went unanswered so I'd call and leave a vm or message with staff. Weeks would go by without any reply. I would email and call over and over with same results. I finally got a copy of my tax return in the mail and noticed a mistake. By way of a miracle I was able to get Bruce on the phone. After he agreed there was a mistake, there was no sense of urgency to file the 2 amendments and correct my taxes. I also never saw the estimated tax vouchers and instructions before the June 15 or Sept 15 deadlines. Meanwhile, I'm racking up late fees with the IRS and Dept. of Rev. It's been 8 months and to this day my 2015 state return is not amended and 2016 vouchers never received. No apology, explanation or refund.

My problems with a terrible landlord had remained unresolved for nearly 3 years until I finally…read moredecided to look for professional help, and I had a great head start in my search for the right lawyer through the word of mouth since multiple people I knew and trust had nothing but positive things to say about Mr. Ayr. It turns out, not only I found the right lawyer: I found the perfect lawyer! You might be asking: "Why do you say that?".. Because not only he is extremely effective, time efficient and organized - which will save you a ton of money - but also is very down to earth, realistic and has something else I've never seen in any lawyer: the cool factor. When I say cool, I mean the invaluable ability to remain calm, centered, so balanced in every situation that it's almost Zen. Remember all the bad things we all grew up listening about lawyers? You will soon realize that Mr. Ayr is the perfect antagonist of all that, and I'm not just saying that, I will elaborate and give you my personal experience as an example: My landlord years of serious violations and illegal acts were so bad that, if we decided to bring the full case to court, he could easily go bankrupt and the house would go up to foreclosure, and bear in mind, I had the Boston Housing Court and Boston Housing Inspection Services with me in this case. Needless to say, had we gone ahead and sue it, serious compensation would come my way and my lawyers. Yet, when I decided to "let go" and give the landlord a chance to settle for the security deposit legally owned to me plus my financial damages along the way , Mr. Ayr fully supported me and quickly started and finished all the documentation and negotiations with the landlord, who completely changed from the very aggressive tone to a fast paced resolution. I was in awe. I would give Mr Ayr a 6 star review if it was possible.

Craig represented my partner and I during the sale of our first home this summer. We decided to…read moresell the house by owner and we were anxious to perform such a large transaction without the help of a realtor. When we met with Craig we already had a buyer lined up and wanted to discuss our current situation. We also had a list of questions regarding what we needed to do next and what the process looked like as a whole. Craig was a great listener and was able to clearly explain everything that needed to be done. He was excellent at describing the next immediate step in context of the larger picture and it was clear that he was knowledgeable about the process. He was easy going and was in no way intimidating or belittling. Following our first meeting we decided that we wanted Craig to represent us. When working with anyone our biggest fear is that they will not be available when you need them. During the entire process Craig was available to answer questions and to get things done. His response time via email or phone/text was almost immediate. At no time did we feel like we could not reach him. Often, Craig would check in with us to make sure we understood what we needed to get done and to remind us of the next step. Most importantly we felt as if Craig made our best interest his largest priority. He was key in negotiations with the buyers by offering advice on how to proceed. He was exceptional at putting often emotional decisions into perspective. When reviewing legal documents he was very thorough; he reviewed them with us section by section, and worked to change any wording that was not in our best interest. He worked closely with the sellers attorney when drafting and editing documents. Never did we feel uncomfortable when he contacted the sellers/attorney on our behalf. The process of selling a home (especially your first) is nerve wracking, and we were by no means confident that we could do it without the help of a realtor. However, after we decided to work with Craig, that anxiety resolved. His hard work ethic, accountability, responsiveness, and knowledge about the process allowed us to feel much better about the transaction regardless of the outcome. We could not recommend Craig more highly and thank him for all of the help and guidance that he was able to provide. Six stars.
