You can bank inside, in the privacy of a closet, or just push a button and you can do things yourself or request a live body and one of the employees faces pops up on the screen to help you. Unreal! It's very easy. Even I, Ms. Untechy, can do it. Sometimes I even surprise myself. If you need to ask for a loan, have a credit card issue or whatever, there are 1 or 2 friendly people at the front desk that are happy to assist you or refer you to an employee who can help you. If you have to wait, you are offered coffee & tea to enjoy while you wait, Everyone at Kemba is very friendly and interested in assisting you. No one yells at you or tries to intimidate you and they don't make you wait for several hours as they bypass you and help other customers. I dealt with this at a nearby bank and will never deal with them again. They lie and don't come through with promises of help. They say they will do something and they don't. One of the banks own employees referred to their bank as toxic and I would strongly agree with them. The name of that bank is Huntington Bank on Hill Road. The young lady that manages that bank is a joke! I've never been treated poorly at Kemba. Everyone is always ready to assist me whether I call or come inside the bank. Kemba also pays higher interest. Go Kemba!

Also, I felt there's less up-selling here than my regular for-profit bank. This building was built brand new for Kemba, and everything is still new and clean inside. I like the seating area up front (you're not pushed to a cubby hole area off to the side). They have a nice coffee station (currently closed due to Covid). I really like having the ability for customers to video conference with a customer service agent in real time via a simple click on their indoor ATMs (this is also available at the drive-thru ATM). I spoke with Melissa while transferring my funds, and her helpful knowledge and explanations were fantastic. The good customer service I've receive here is much better than my previous bank.

This Credit union was added to my finances by my wife's work at AEP…read more 20 years later, and much has diminished. There is no benefit to customer longevity. The staff here is super friendly and recognize you by face. Call you by name, and engage is conversation. The property is clean and neat. The ATM is only outside at the drive thru. A couple other drive thru's accommodate the drive up banking customers. This branch opened up around 2012, closing the Morrison Rd location. Traffic flow is now safer. Rates are not so competitive. Any internet search can show that. Powerco has transitioned into Pathways now. Weekend hours are now non-existent, and weekday hours are not open long enough without taking time off work. Paper checks used to be free. They never lost my money, or charged me a non-deserved fee. If you work nights or are retired, and like to chat with friendly, helpful banking personnel, then this is your bank.

I have dealt with some other area banks for work and other reasons, but have not really been pleased with them or some of their policies. However, it's nonexistent in Ohio. I tried Park National for a little bit and was unsatisfied. Once I left for summer, I got a call weeks later saying I overdrafted and owe the bank around $300 dollars. I disputed and argued and it turns out it was their mistake. Chase is right across the street, and they give you $25 bucks for starting an account if you start it at the start of the school year! I'm sure Park National is good for in-state users, but if you're out of state, there are better options!
