Segra Park is kind of a fun park. It's in the Bull Street District, which is a lot more appealing…read morethan it used to be. I think the park, and the Fireflies organization, does a great job of trying to have something fun for everybody, whether you're a young child, a young adult, or a middle-aged adult. For example, one of the back corners of the park was full of inflatable bouncy houses, which I would have loved when I was a kid. In addition, they had a few bar areas for the adults, my favorite of which was the Wicked Weed Brewing station, which offered a handful of different options from the Wicked Weed brand. Finally, I noticed that a few different corporate groups were having gatherings at the game, which looked like a lot of fun.
Furthermore, I went to a Tuesday night game, which, unbeknownst to me, carried a bunch of deals on various concessions items, such as $2 hot dogs and popcorn, as well as another deal on Miller Lite (although I don't remember the specifics.) For the price I paid for the hot dogs, I was also pleasantly surprised by how good they tasted! I loved how the park had different seating options, such as the traditional stadium seating in between the bases, but also picnic-like tables that you could sit at on the sides. That was definitely good for eating my hot dog and fries!
I'd say that the biggest thing lacking in regards to Segra Park is high-quality baseball. While it has everything else that you could want in a park, I don't really feel like the games are that enjoyable, largely because you're watching very low-level baseball, which isn't very compelling. Because of this, I'd probably drop in to one (1) Fireflies game a year, but would likely keep it at that.
All-in-all, Segra Park is a great minor league stadium, I just wish the product between the lines was better!
