This is the dance studio that is the go-to out of the ones we've experienced, as it's just on another level and is priced similarly to a lot of others but with much better service and much better lessons for that matter.

They all dance and we have tried many dance places over the years but Starlight is where we love to be. I really feel like we are family there. The owners are so great and the instructors are great. In recent years they have really expanded a lot. They used to be such a small place but the place is blowin up yall! Really though when you see a place growing so much you have to know they are doing something right. They offer a wide variety of dance and musical theater classes in a warm and inviting setting. I would highly recommend this studio. In fact all my kids prefer to go to Starlight and would never want to be anywhere else.

Honestly, not the biggest fan. My children have been to…read moreother gymnastics and dance studios but this one did not impress me by one bit. Gym time isn't that bad probably the only consistent activity where coaches need to be more hands on but give the children so much freedom to run loosely with little direction, yes it's supposed to be fun but I feel like they are missing on one key elemental skill which is coaching verbally in order to maintain order as much as a coach can. The staff loves to be on their phones, yes all the staff (at least when we went) were young teen ladies but what kind of example is that on the young? Oh it's totally ok to be on phones as you are being instructed? ....I think not. What teen doesn't want to go out on Friday nights but once employees commit to a job, it is their responsibility to take on the duties that are expected. Lastly, the dance class. Never in my life have I had my two other children attend a dance class directed by a TV screen, almost identical to little Julian from Big Daddy when he was hopping around while watching the Kangaroo sing-a-long. Dance instructors typically (from my previous experiences) have all children in a pattern, either by the bar or in a circle to see the children's body movements as they are being taught the basics of dance. This would be a lot different if the studio class was dealing with toddlers or young children but when children are at the age to comprehend and act upon the instruction. I am no dance instructor but experiencing dance at different age groups from both my other children and from the little that I remember, children are missing out on such a wonderful experience even if they are not part of the dance team. Perhaps even challenging themselves or simply just practice stretching exercises, parents here are being robbed on what could be a great hobby for these kids to possibly pursue as they get older. Luckily, for us we are no longer members of this gym and dance studio. We are actively looking for something along the lines of my older two have experienced since our youngest child seems to really enjoy gymnastics and dance.

These kind souls (the counselors) went to the trouble of throwing a little party for our daughters, with cake and tiaras (which our daughters love) that light up and say "Happy Birthday." Such an act of thoughtfulness deserves nothing short of a top-notch rating.

The Texans cheerleaders are pretty awesome. What else can you say. I have them on my Snapchat and I've seen them live in person on several occasions, met them, talked to them, and they're gorgeous in person and gorgeous online and excellent on the field and perfect. The only problem is they're getting paid absolutely nothing. The cheerleaders are five out of five, but the NFL is one out of five for not paying them properly. It's basically slave labour and they should be disgusted. This five star rating is for the girls. The Texans organization, which pays them peanuts, and the NFL, which allows such disgusting crap, both score 0 stars for this.

I'm not the "Cheer Mom" I cheered for recreational league and elementary and it wasnt my thing once I moved in it was always "the thing to do" brother plays football so you cheer is how we were raised. So I can assure you I wont be sitting watching but seeing the other parents so into it and critiquing their girls as they watched, I was like OMG let the girls have fun dont live your life through them if they are not on a competitive league let them enjoy cheer in high school care about academics... but no comment, now back to this great Gym. They are an award winning team as noted by all their trophies and banners, they accept cash for open Gym which they have open Gym on Friday and Saturday it's just $10 per session. They also offer tumble classes which I wish my kid would have signed up for instead of the 1:1 private lessons at another Gym, I think the classes would have been more beneficial and pushed her more but that ship has sailed it doesn't have to be the same for you so check out their website and see all the lessons offered in addition to their awesome award winning competitive teams. I love supporting small local businesses and I love it even more when they actually show how much they care and appreciate the support. Texas Rockstars has the right name the staff are Rockstars who are always nice to the parents and kids who visit their gym.

Our family has had the opportunity to complete a full season with Renegade Cheer athletics. Since…read morethe first day we walked into the gym we were instantly greeted by the warm presence and smiling faces. Tryout and registration was easy as Coach Deborah was sure to fully explain the expectations of the season. All-star cheer is a true commitment! Over the recent season, I always reflect the initial conversation for direction on "what to expect." The highlight of the season for myself and my daughter, other than wins, was the constant encouragement from the coaches and the "push" for the athletics to reach their full potential. These coaches are true masters of their trade - there is so much passion and dedication behind all the coaches at the gym. The experience for my daughter offered so much more than cheer. Besides, lifetime bonds and friendships through the teambuilding and activities offered by the gym she acquired a wonderful bond and mentor in one of the coaches, Kelsey. The gym became her safe haven and stress reliever. While working with her coaches she was also able to "level up" and surpass mental blocks. I can't thank or recommend this gym enough.
