I cannot say enough great things about this place! They all quickly became family. The way they…read morecare for and love all of the kids, you cannot ask for more. When we started our new daycare they were impressed at how many signs he had! I think it's important to mention that these are kids and things don't always go according to plan, but the entire staff handles the tough situations professionally and with compassion. We moved to a different side of town and it's the only reason we left. Otherwise no question my kiddo would have been there until school-age.

She was apart of the Pre-K program for 2 years because of her September birthday. She learned the 50 states, continents, famous paintings, math, phonics, basic science, handwriting, and so much more. The teachers are very loving. My second child is only 9 months and been there since 6 weeks. She absolutely loves Mrs. Yanti, one of the infant teachers. She is already participating in circle time and doing art work! The teachers do what ever they can to make sure both of us are comfortable. I would totally recommend this center to any of my friends in the area. FYI: I have been working at MGBLC for 5 years. I am stating this because I know the ends and outs and still would never put my children anywhere else. I have been attending college since I started working here and am not always at the center when my children are present but I have never had any concerns for their safety, education or the love they receive.

Masterpiece Acton Academy has truly changed my son's life and mine as a mother. He started the…read moreschool year at a charter school and was deeply unhappy. He often came home anxious and frustrated, even having to hold in going to the restroom because of strict policies. It was heartbreaking to watch him become so stressed at such a young age. Thankfully, I found Masterpiece Acton Academy in Pearland, and it has been the greatest decision I've ever made for his education and well-being. From the moment he joined in February, everything changed. He immediately felt welcomed and said the other learners felt like family. Miss Amelia and Miss Melanie are extraordinary. They truly care and create an environment where children thrive emotionally, socially, and academically. My son has become happier, more confident, and more independent. The learner-driven model allows him to go at his own pace and take ownership of his education, something that matters so much to me. I'm forever grateful we found this school. After experiencing Acton, I can confidently say we will never go back to a traditional public or charter school. Masterpiece is where he belongs.

We also wanted Socratic discussions, great literature, and critical thinking development found in Classical education, along with a holistic focus, art-integration, and hands-on learning of Waldorf schools. Masterpiece is an Acton Academy, so they're a unique blend that takes the best from multiple education styles. We started our child here in 1st grade, but they offer pre-K and Kindergarten as well as upper elementary grades. I feel great knowing how well-cared-for he is by the teachers (guides). The administration is passionate about creating the best environment for children to learn, and it shows. Kids spend at least an hour outside, and their way of doing grades teaches to mastery and eliminates testing anxiety. I'm ecstatic to have a happy, healthy kid who enjoys going to school.

I will start out by saying that having Mrs. Kahn as my daughters teacher was the biggest mistake I ever made as a parent. There would be times Mrs. Kahn would say," Oh your child wouldn't sit down in circle time and would go play with the toys instead, or I know her shirt has milk and paint all over it but she got upset when I tried to change her so I left it on." The first thought that came to my mind was," Aren't you the teacher?" My child wasn't bad at all, she was just excited to be in an environment with so many stimulating things in it, and as a teacher you would think her 15+ years of experience would've taught her how to handle those situations. It's as if she was so used to having perfect children and got flustered when a child didn't listen when she told them to do something the first time. And as far as my child learning anything, she didn't learn anything from her other than how to line up and go outside. The funny thing is when I would be on break from school or had her for the holidays, I would teach her the smallest things and my daughter would catch on so fast that everyone in my family could see an improvement. Why was it that she wasn't learning anything at school when she was there 5 days a week, but as soon as I taught her something on a 3 day break all of a sudden you see improvement? I'll tell you why, it's because Mrs. Kahn was NOT paying attention to my child and paid more attention to other children and was busy begging parents to give money or food to her for the parties she always threw (as if tuition wasn't enough). If she spent more time on educating the children then planning parties, maybe the children could actually learn something. My husband also would drop our daughter off and say to me ," Does she not like our daughter? She always gives us a look like she doesn't want her there, but when other children come in, she gets excited and gives them hugs." Also you know something is wrong with a teacher when the director pulls her own grandchild out of their class, and transfers them into another teachers class. In all since leaving within 3 months my child can count to 100 and can read at 3 years old, and it's all because I taught her and took her out of that school. My advice is to anybody looking at this school, DO NOT enroll your child in her class. She's obviously more focused on throwing parties and doesn't know a thing about teaching in a structured environment.

The new owners are there on a daily bases and take great interest in the kids, my grandson will not leave with out saying goodbye to the owners. I can not say enough about the director she is in-tune with the kids and their parents. This school has so much to offer such as bilingual story time, book fairs, parents night out and so much more. There are themes such as Dinosaur and story time characters month The first month there my grandson who is now 3 knew how to count to 10 in Spanish and some Japanese words. The teachers are very patient and take time to love the kids while they learn. I must admit my grandson is a handful but the entire staff works to keep him in line in a loving way. The ladies that take care of the kids in the morning are very helpful in assisting me with him so I can get to work. This is a great Daycare and they did not ask me to write this review, I was compelled to do so because am so impressed with my grandson progress.
