I always like to acknowledge businesses who offer a good experience, so here it is written anew: Two of my children attended Divine Dance a few years back. The owner was very pleasant and accommodating to families. She offered flexibility if work or other circumstances required a change to the kid's dance schedule. With my wife working in Houston, I was often the one bringing them to dance at the end of our local school day. If I had a meeting or other obligation, the business would let them attend a different class that week rather than miss all together. I've never forgotten how they went above & beyond to accommodate busy families juggling to get every one where they needed to be. We were quiet pleased with the classes and pricing. They have a 5 1/2 hr. family tuition cap which makes it possible to train in multiple genres without "breaking the bank". Less costly than other studios, but still good instruction. This allowed my kids & other families with multiple children to afford training. The studio exhibited a true love of sharing the art of dance with as many students as possible. My son danced there and I always appreciated them making him feel included by assigning masculine chorography specifically for him. Being a predominately female art form, he was the only boy in his class and the teachers worked with him well. We found the instructors to be kind, nurturing, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere friendly and welcoming! There was a cohesive, supportive feeling amongst patrons. Over all, we have positive memories of our time & money well spent at Divine Dance.

Fairly decent price compared to the other Dance Schools in Pearland. Ms. Lauren, the instructor, was great. For the class to vary in age from 2 to 7 at various levels of skill, she was knowledgeable, understanding, and very kind. The owner, Mrs. Krystal was also very kind and helpful. The only reason I felt the need for 4 stars is due to my lack of knowledge about the competitors. I don't know what other Dance Schools in the area are doing, Divine is good. I can't wait for fall dance for my daughter.

After 3 years of commitment to Pearland Elite, I was extremely disappointed and honestly…read moreheartbroken by the way my daughter Taylor's enrollment ended. Rather than having a direct conversation with me as her parent, Taylor was unenrolled following information surrounding a tryout at another gym. From my perspective, the decision appeared to be based on hearsay and assumptions rather than anyone simply picking up the phone and speaking with me first. After three years of our family investing time, money, trust, and Taylor pouring countless hours into this program, we deserved that basic professional courtesy. What makes this even harder is that Taylor genuinely loved Pearland Elite and absolutely adored her coach ( Kelly) . This was her gymnastics home for three years. These coaches and teammates were a major part of her childhood as she was home schooled there, so the way everything ended is something that will likely remain a core memory for her and unfortunately, not for the right reasons. In my opinion, the decision made by Tasha and Nick to unenroll my daughter felt emotional and reactive, rather than thoughtful and centered around an athlete who had been loyal to their program for years. A conversation could have changed the entire way this situation was handled. Exploring another gym was never about disrespecting her coaches or forgetting everything Pearland Elite had done for Taylor. It was about being parents and doing our due diligence for a child who has serious goals in this sport. Parents should be able to explore opportunities, ask questions, attend a tryout, and determine the best path for their child without fearing their child will immediately be removed from a program based on secondhand information. I also had heard of interactions with Nick that made me uncomfortable, including comments that I personally perceived as racially inappropriate and insensitive. Combined with how this situation was handled, it changed the way I viewed the leadership of the gym. Taylor worked hard, competed, represented Pearland Elite proudly, loved her coaches, and gave that program three years of her childhood. Regardless of where an athlete ultimately chooses to train, that level of dedication deserves respect, compassion, professionalism, and at minimum a conversation with her parent. We have moved forward and I am grateful Taylor is continuing her journey in an environment that aligns with the direction she wants to go. But I will always wish her chapter at Pearland Elite had been allowed to close with the same love and respect that she gave them for three years. It wasn't simply that our relationship with the gym ended. It was the way they chose to end it that I will never agree with.

We went to kiddie academy at first bc it was the closest to us. We left after several incidents by…read morethe same child that was not being resolved. We tried to be super patient and understanding until I watched this child myself hold down another child where he couldn't get up without teacher intervention. After making a last complaint and saying that we would remove our child from their care if they did not remove that child (20+ bites on different kids at this point 3-4 times for my daughter) they printed out papers showing us that this was developmental and OK to them. They would take extra precaution with the child and always have a teacher with get. We immediately removed her from that daycare. (Pic in comments) They have cameras but it turned out it was false security because it doesn't save and they don't care if your child is being hurt from another child if they consider it to be developmental. We were interested in lux but it had a wait list and even though they had cameras they don't share it with parents. Children's learning adventure in pearland was nice. I really liked all of the different rooms and things they have for the kids. It does feel like they kind of hire anyone. There were times when I walked in and the kids were climbing all over tables or hiding behind a bookshelf watching Mickey Mouse on phone. The drive also was not pleasant in the morning. We're currently enrolled at teddys ladder. She's learned a lot there but I don't agree with everything they do. I'm frustrated with the size of the classes (35/36) but didn't want to pull her out of the class this year because she's made good friends over the years. If I could back in time, I wish I would have found a school that advocated for age appropriate play, teaches age appropriate content including emotional regulation and really believes in it, and cares more about how the children feel vs how they're perceived.
