I'm an educator that went to Odyssey Fun Farm Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maize with about 50 students ranging from 11 to 14 years old. It was a beautiful, sunny October day, and the weather was perfect to have fun at the Punkin Patch! The price per person was $14.50. I feel that this fee was overpriced. There are not enough activities here to charge this much money. They could at least offer a discount for the large group that attended. The highlight of the trip was the Corn Maize. It is huge and takes about 45 minutes to find an exit. The students enjoyed the corn shooter where they could shoot guns at the targets. I rode the hayride 2 times, which was a very quick, boring ride. It appeared to stop and run out of gas. We were stalled for a few minutes. The kiddie tractor pull ride is for small adults and children, but it was a very slow ride. Many students enjoyed the petting zoo, which contained goats, donkeys, etc. There was also a bouncy area for kids to jump on. The food was extremely mediocre and overpriced. I paid 13 dollars for a small, nasty piece of pizza and an order of fries. I do not recommend the food. Parking is free and they have a big lot. Every person received a pumpkin as they exited the farm. The kids had a lot of fun outside, but I feel that it wasn't worth the prices. read more

This place was very expensive for what it is. It also markets its corn maze as something very impressive and in reality, the corn stalks were all dead and black, barely higher than 3 feet tall, and you can see in all directions. They do have some good kid attractions that as an adult were pretty fun. There is a giant inflated "pillow" jumper, which was very bouncy and fun. My sister and I came on a Friday and it was pretty empty. It's like a giant trampoline but shaped like a pillow on the ground. The second attraction we enjoyed was the corn box. It's a sandbox but instead of sand, it was corn. So much fun! But mostly because no one else was there, we were able to enjoy sinking into the corn kernels and making corn angels. Otherwise, admission was pricey for adults given that there isn't much to do. You do get 2 coupons with admission price. One coupon gave a few dollars off food and the other gave a few dollars off a pumpkin. This place isn't a farm really but like a plot of land. They do have free parking in the lot. I think this may be fun for kids on a weekend but not so much for adults looking for a fun fall day. We spent maybe 1.5 hours there, walking around and looking for a pumpkin. We came there for the corn maize and were disappointed but maybe our expectations were too high. read more

We've been coming to this farm since our son was three so this is our seventh year. Halloween is my favorite and going to pumpkin patches in the fall is a family tradition. I have loved going to places like Bengstons and Sonny Acres, and I truly believe this one stands alongside with those established farms. Their customer service and friendliness is outstanding. Horrible experience (STAY AWAY IMO). Little to nothing to do and what was there is usually run down, missing items or broken. Things listed not available etc. The price is about triple what it should be and a lot of people we could tell or spoke to were NOT happy. Food is the opposite of good esp considering what they charge. Elotes was cold and didnt taste good. Moldy hay bails throughout. Lots of oversize chairs to sit in to take pics (like.. WOW) They know what they are doing (imo fraud) because when I spoke to the manager he had all the rationalizing and excuses down pat! Which told me he has had practice. One of the two tables they have on one side of the park (for the food truck) for eating was taken up by an employee napping. If you wanted to sit you had to walk on the otherside of the place. Which is large but mostly empty space due to not having really anything. If you like making bubbles they have a bubble pavilion. You just have to find the missing bubble wands... They do have a hay ride and smaller barrel ride but we were so disappointed we didnt even want to stay a minute longer. They have a large tub filled with corn that kids can jump in but it looked like the corn had been in there for years without being changed. Breaking down into dust, was just.. not good. I asked the manager for a partial refund because the experience wasnt up to the mid 2 figures they charge per person (unless you are 3 or younger). Like I said previously, he had the "omg sorry you were disappointed with ONE thing" down PAT (lots of practice if the other reviews here are any indication). Obviously the manager is basically gaslighting. This is after listing minimum of 7 things (politely of course). If you want to spend 3 figures for 2 adults and 2 children for a bad time, this is your spot. Otherwise Id stay far away from this place. read more

We've been to Odyssey's Fun Farm Pumpkin Patch several times. There's many activities for the kids. For younger kids, they have inflatables, cow train, corn box, hay rides, a giant inflatable to jump on, petting zoo, corn maize, and of course a huge pumpkin patch. For older kids, they have a bigger corn maize, corn cannon, zip lines, and the coolest things ever: Zombie paintball. They have a few food trucks with tons of goodies. I saw several people ordering what must have been the biggest turkey leg ever!!!! Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. The only thing I don't like is having to leave. My son doesn't want to leave. If it were up to him, we'd stay there forever. I highly recommend it. Bring the family and enjoy. read more

I was pretty disappointed in this experience. I have to admit, it's all due to comparison. After going to Goebbert's in South Barrington, Odyssey Fun Farm is dingy, small and lackluster in comparison. Pros: Cute for the kids Awesome Pillow Jumpy (probably meant for the kids, but fun for adults too!) Cons: Not as impressive as it looks on the website Kinda dirty (even for an outdoors thing) Not a whole lot to do A bit pricey I'm not sure if it was because it was an overcast day or what, but honestly our experience here felt a little depressing. The staff tried to liven up the pig race with some comedy but it was just drawn out and not that funny and then the race itself was only like 10 seconds long, not worth sitting through, although I do give the guys credit, they did their best to make it entertaining - it just wasn't. The food was lackluster on the scale of BAD carnival quality. The animals were all in two pens (one for donkeys, one for smaller goats, sheep and a llama) and they were very friendly and eager for food, but the area was muddy so the animals were pretty dirty and I wouldn't have wanted to really pet them - though I fed them (50 cents per little cup of feed or you can find ears of corn laying around that they LOVE). This is probably better for kids who haven't had any other kind of pumpkin patch experience. But I was hoping for more of a light-hearted date day and it was just too dirty and disappointing to fulfill my idea of what I wanted the day to look like. read more

I put one star because you can't give negative stars. I would not recommend this place to anyone, ever. They neglect to mention that when it starts raining (5 minutes after you have paid $60 for 4 adults and 1 child) they shut down/close off most of the activities - with NO REFUNDS OR RAINCHECKS. They leave one small bouncy house open. You can see the penned goats that are now trying to huddle together to stay warm and dry. There is a rope maze that is pathetic. I was very disappointed with this place. Last year was the first time that I'd ever been here. I took my then 4 year old. He loved it; from the animals that we were able to feed, to the corn shooting, climbing up and the down the haystacks, the maze, the inflatable slides and the yellow brick road. So when it was time to plan a trip this year, I figured, why not return. It is close (30 minutes) from home. We visisted yesterday. It was a last minute decision but I didn't want to drive to Homer Glenn to the Bengtson pumpkin farm. I should have just taken that drive. Pros: You kids will probably enjoy this place. There are 2 inflatable houses--for smaller kids. There is an inflatable slide. There is a huge inflatable jumping area. The kids can climb bales of hay. You could feed animals. Cons: You as the parent will not love it. The price of admission is $12 on the weekends. And while that's not expensive, it's too expensive for the activities offered. The yellow brick road area is dilapidated. The flowers are dead. The area where the "Wizard" lives is run down. Horrible. There were only two lines at the concession stand. And if you're only standing in line for beverages, you're wasting about 15 minutes of your life waiting. There isn't enough seating either. I will never be back. This review is from our visit the last weekend of the season last year. Everything we fun for my 2 young kids and it wasn't crowded at all. The Wizard of Oz theme was very cute and well done. I just want to warn everyone that the zip line is a RIP OFF! Don't bother. My 9-year old barely moved and literally took 3 seconds that is how short it was. I would have never got the tickets for it but we bought them at the door. Then when I saw the zip line, before she went on, that surely they'll let her go down more than one (there was NO one in line). She went down and that was it. I didn't have a coupon for it so I think 2 seconds cost me $8.00. TOTAL rip off. Don't do the zip line. But the rest of the place was great. Look for coupons at SaveOn.com. Went to the Fun Farm Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maize yesterday and had a great time. The "Beast" was a tad scarey. The Maize was excellent, took me 45 minutes to get through. Only got turned around once. Fun hayride, pig raises and good food at a reasonable price. Plenty of parking. read more

So I skipped out on the normal farm that we go to during Halloween time because I had heard from a friend that Odyssey was great. We got tickets on Groupon and thank God I didn't pay full price because I was bored out of my mind within 10 minutes. There really isn't much to do here there's a big jumping pillow, a tiny petting zoo, tetherball, a corn pit where the kids can play, a large corn maze and on special days they have superheroes walking around. My kids were bored within 30 minutes of being here. Don't waste your time or make the drive like I did. I'd much rather pay a little extra and get much more of a farm experience. I would give this zero stars if allowed. I am writing this to warn you NEVER GO TO ODYSSEY FUN FARM! Odyssey Fun Farm Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maize was a complete waste of money and time. We looked at their website and saw the many attractions and decided to skip Konows this year and try out something new, terrible idea. Their daily attractions include corn maize, pumpkin patch, hay rides, cow rides, bounce houses, zombie paintball, zip lines, corn shooters, corn pit, petting zoo, hay stacks, jumping pillow, pig races and concessions. False advertising on their site!!!! No pig races, no petting zoo, no zombie paintball, no zip line! Their concessions included one open truck that had some items like fries and apple cider but no pretzels, pizza , churros or anything else on the list. We had to ask staff to go to attractions so we could use them. The bounce houses were mini and made only for children under 5. The cow ride was a circle around corn stalks in a small circle. Hay stacks were as tall my husband and weren't put together well so you can fall in between. Corn pit is very shallow and small. They also say kids get a free ice cream from Culver's but that's also not true, you have to buy a meal to get ice cream. The supervisor Miranda was not at all helpful and couldn't explain why the website says it's daily but it's only open on the weekends. The reason why I am giving this a one star is because this farm is not meant for adults, only for children, unlike other farms. There is really not much to look at. The cornfield maze was only about 3 feet tall so that was no fun. They do have some fun games so if you have kids this place would probably be fun for them. read more

Such a horrible experience. My daughter l, who has a disability (weak leg muscles) got pushed off the giant jumpy pillow, and hurt her ankle really bad. The staff wasn't paying attention to all the people jumping because they were too busy on their phones instead of doing their job. Complained to management, but did nothing about it. Spent not even 20 minutes at the place because the staff and management are rude and not helpful at all. Thought it would be a fun experience for my children, but I was wrong. Odyssey fun Farm is definitely the place to take your kiddos. I recently went there with my sister and my 5 year old cousin and she had so much fun. We drove an hour to get there and it was well worth it. She was actually wiped out before we got to do all the attractions. When we first walked in we were greeted with smiles and greetings and help to put on our wrist bands. (Workers we're very nice and approachable throughout the whole farm) The farm is an open layout, which is pretty nice because everything isn't cluttered together like on some other farms. They have these artistic benches around the farm and yes you can sit on them. They're pretty cool. Taking a normal looking bench and creating a design out of it. There are many different attractions for the children as well and some of those attractions let adult participate along with them. They have the wizard of oz yellow brick road attraction where you follow around the yellow brick road and see some things from the Wizard of Oz. There were 4 inflatables. The big slide was cool because adults are allowed to slide down with their child. Adults are also allowed in the huge corn box too. So not only can you watch your child from the sidelines you can actually get in there and play in the Corn with them. Which brings me to the jumping pillow. Adults are allowed to jump on that too. Man was that a workout for me, but it was so much fun tho. Seeing my little cousin with a big smile on her face as we're jumping together is priceless. They had announcements for when the pig races started so people can finish up with they're doing and make it on time for the races. Which I think that was a great idea for the announcements because when you're having a lot of fun you lose track of time and you don't wanna miss the race. They have a huge corn maze which is outlined in superhero's. The corn maze has two mazes. A small one and big one. If you decide you want to do the big corn maze you can also play a game while on the inside. Which keeps you more entertained inside the maze as you find your way out. Before you enter the maze a worker will tell you the instructions to the game if you decide to play. There was also a small tug o war game and it's really nice because when you let your child win they have this huge smile because they think they're stronger than you. The petting zoo had a variety of animals to feed and also pony rides. There are also water/soap stands located around the petting zoo to wash your hands. Bathrooms are porta-potty's and they're CLEAN! They also have hayrides which the lines for them go pretty fast because there are a couple that go around. The cow train was the first thing we went on. I was allowed to go on that too with my cousin. There's also a big rocking chair and also a huge swing to take pictures and family pictures on. Make sure to get a picture on one of them because they're super cute for memories. They also have wheelbarrows to carry your pumpkins in so if they're too heavy for you or you don't want to carry them. They have a few more attractions that we missed because my cousin was getting tired, but we did had a lot of fun with the ones we did do and there were a lot of them. Overall I really loved the farm and recommend everyone to go!. My little cousin is really shy so I was happy that we were able to participate and do things with her because if we weren't able too I don't think she would have done some of the things by herself. I bought a Groupon for the cornmaze and Zombie paintball hayride. My entire family was very disappointed. The hayride was 5 minutes long and hardly had any zoombies. The zombies were so scarce that I still had paintballs left over after the ride. They try to convince you that you will run out of paintballs and that you'll need additional ones at a cost, Ha what a laugh! There was a concession stand however they didn't sell hot foods/drinks at night! Are you kidding me?!?! It was cold that night! The corn maze was the best part of the night. It is muddy but trying to find your way out in the dark was kinda scary and adventurous, if your into that kind of thing, lol. If you are looking for a zombie paintball hayride ....KEEP LOOKING i wanted to do something fun for my 10yr and 13yr old boys zombie safari is a big rip off first of all it is $22 to do it. Then first half of it is just zombie cutouts to shoot and there were only 4-6 real people to shoot. This is honestly the worst establishment I have been to in my life. We had to wait in line for 1 hour and then they put us back to the end of the line. We had to watch the Thriller music video 27.5 times as we watched everyone else go in front of us. Kids had a blast! I was pleasantly surprised with how much there was too do. The kids actually got tired before we could do everything so we didn't check out the petting zoo. The small corn maze (batman) was great for there ages 4 and 6 and an infant. Not too long or short. Port a pottys were very clean and wasn't too crowded. Batman and wonder woman were there today in costume which my kids loved because they so happened to be dressing as them this year. We will definitely be back again! read more

Zombie paintball was awful!!! Waste of money!!! lasts like 10 mins definitely didn't get 100 shots and was only a few real life "zombies" my 5 year old wasn't even entertained!!!
