One of my favorite festivals on the South Suburbs of Chicago , The Frankfurt Fall Festival has something for everyone , Carnival Rides, A Great assortment of food, Live Entertainment , and plenty of Drinks. During the day it's basically a giant Arts and Crafts Fair highlighting the skills of multiple artisans showcasing everything they have to sell, At the same time , there is live entertainment at 2 separate tents , including an outstanding food court , , but here's the best part , it's all within a small city with multiple restaurants and small town bars with patios selling their own food and drink options, basically a fest within a fest with a old school country feel , Then at night vendors shut down and it becomes a giant party with 2 beer gardens and great bands , so you don't have to stay in one place you can hop around and just vibe out , Fun for the whole family ! What a great way to showcase this great community! My first time here and I was really impressed. The downtown is historic and lends itself well to this festival. The entire area is closed off to traffic and the booths are spread out so it's easy to navigate. Typical carnival rides. At least 300 craft booths. Food from local open restaurants as well as a tent area with festival walking food. Shade and seating throughout the area. The local parade was impressive. We stood near the reviewing booth and listened to the acknowledgements of local businesses with floats. Impressive community history and involvement. Parking is all remote with a free shuttle bus. What a great way to discover a nice downtown area and experience friendly folks. Great event chamber! read more

Fall Fest in Frankfort is a sprawling good time of crafts, food, beer, entertainment, carnival rides and a parade! Even before I lived in Frankfort, I would make the trek for the shopping and fun food. Once I lived here it just became part of the fabric of our autumn, the official kick off to Fall and football. When my girls were little wrist band night at the carnival eclipsed even the excitement of going back to school. Each year as they improve the downtown area, the fest gets better organized, particularly for the carnival which is now all contained at the East of the fest. What never gets perfected is parking, it is very tricky to find a place to park in town but the village has lots and a shuttle system to get people back and forth. Now if they could just get helicopters to help those of us who live in the middle of historic Frankfort in and out all my concerns would be taken care of! I'll be at the Fest all weekend, stop by and we'll cruise the craft booths together! read more

We've come for the parade the past two years and have enjoyed it each time. They include a number of high school and junior high bands and each is impressive. They throw more candy out then Brach's so my kiddo has a great time scooping it up. As for the festival itself, we haven't done the eating or drinking thing either year so our experience is minimal. We try to comb through the sea of vendors but even that gets a little monotonous due to the volume of people. Despite that, we've bought something each year. Have lived south of Frankfort for Eleven years now and dread the whole thing. I used to go for the craft shows, but the prices are so outrageous because they have to pay such high rent. Frankfort back off a little, live and let live. Everything is so pricey, parking, food, and the rides. read more

It's a fun festival. Huge too! You got live music, carnival rides, food and arts and craft fair. We paid $10.00 to park and get a shuttle ride to festival and back, it was super hot so worth every penny! The food prices are cheap compared to other festivals. $1 water, $2.00 hot dog etc. not a lot of food selections but plenty of cute cafes around to pick from. read more

I attend Fall Fest every year! This was the best Fest to date. Even though it was extremely hot and humid, the way the booths were set up were fantastic. Kansas Street was easier to walk down, loved having White Street blocked off and vendors set up on this Street. Kudos to the Chamber and everyone involved!!! read more

One of the best in the State! The craft vendors offer amazing work and homemade opportunities. The entertainment is always excellent with a very spacious beer garden. This is truly a hometown feeling throughout the festival. read more

We were just there on 10/02/2016 beautiful weather day, no rain. However, It was ehhh .... The set up was not that great. I am not sure if I just have high expectations of what a pumpkin patch should be like but there is no comparing it to Benghston's. It should somewhat resemble a mini little carnival. I saw no pony rides! -10 points. You couldn't walk in through the fence to feed the animals, kids had to feed the animals through a fence. They only had three goats, one chicken, one hare and two ponies to feed but since some of the animals were sleeping they did not get to interact well with animals to feed them. -10 points The only small train ride they had was not moving! -10 points Only ONE person was doing face painting. -10 points The games that kids or adults could play such as shooting a ball through a hole, only one gun was working. -10 points The paint ball during the day sucked being that the paint ball is glow in the dark but you couldn't see where you were shooting. -10 points Oh we also got to see them shooting a pumpkin through a canon...woooooow =/ These kids and many others were bored to death. This Site advertises it to be better than what it actually is. Too overpriced, for a slide that is not too big. A pumpkin patch that is not too big. Someone needs to work better on the layout and planning of this place next year. Now I get why it was not even busy. The only thing this place was good for was to take PICS, reason why we took such great pics... LMAO IMO I wouldn't waste my money at this patch, take your kids elsewhere. I wish I was able to get my $80 back I bought a package of (4-vip tickets) which I paid for on Groupon, turns out this was not a deal at all. read more

I have been going to the Frankfort Fest for years. Last year my friend and I decided to go to the Schaumburg fest instead,since it seemed the Frankfort Fest had the same old thing the past few years. Big mistake, not worth the drive. This year my friend and I returned back to Frankfort, better than ever! Lots of new venders with unique and different items!!! We spent the day there, and came home with lots of goodies!!! Loved the brass and copper water fountains, wish I could afford one!!! I miss the guy with the unique plant stands shaped like chairs, (with the hummingbird ) in different colors, please come back!!! I wanted to get another one!!! Can't wait till next year!!! read more
