I've attended drop in and refresher improv classes here and can't say enough good things about the instructors and feel. If you're brand new to improv or a bit more seasoned, The Focus likely has an offering to meet your needs. They have a new space in the Sibley Building downtown, and are building up to more performances and offerings there in the coming weeks. I am looking forward to getting back sometime in the very near future and can't wait to see the amazing things they cook up.

The bathroom is on the basement level and there are a lot of stairs required to climb to get there. The building is accessible with elevators available on each level. The theatre does have a bar area where you can get drinks (alcoholic beverages, water,pop) and snacks. The seats were close together but comfortable. We enjoyed the show and had no issues with our seats.

This is an easy 10 minute drive off the Thruway via the Canandaigua exit, and offers a large, free parking lot. It's bright and spacious inside, and the offerings include ballet, tribute bands, political speakers, journalists, and musical theater. I'm happy to say I have a new arts venue to add to my rotation, and will definitely be checking out their upcoming events. A note: there are a decent amount of stairs at the front entrance, but there is an accessible entrance on the other side of the building.

It was a bit difficult for us to find it since our GPS led us through the winding campus roads. There was ample parking in front of the Arts Center which was a delightful surprise. Since we got there fairly early, we took a short stroll around the concert hall. There were beautiful sculptures and art pieces around, a cute seating area (for students I'm guessing). The evening didn't start out great. The usher literally led us to the wrong seats, on the opposite end of the theater. It was an ordeal finding our seats and the people we passed while looking for our seats were quite rude which put me in a bad mood. The seats were a bit cramped; I couldn't stand up to dance. They were comfortable enough to sit in though! The acoustics weren't fabulous from where I was sitting by the right side door. During the intermission, I stepped out. Again, the people down our row were rude and grunted at us as we tried to get passed them. The water fountain outside of the door did not work! The concessions stand only took cash and it was super crowded. I ended up going to a vending machine downstairs. The bathroom I went to (downstairs) was very clean and spacious. It was much nicer than I had expected it to be. Overall, I have mixed feelings about the Nazareth Arts Center. On the one hand, it was a pretty and clean facility with decent seats. But on the other hand there were so many small things like the incompetent usher and broken water fountain that really turned me off to it. I'm willing to give it another try and come back for another show in the future (hopefully with a different crowd).

Watching someone you grew up with step into their dream and absolutely thrive is something special…read more This studio is a true reflection of her heart--intentional, organized, and built with so much care. The training here stands out immediately. Technique is a priority, and it's taught with precision and purpose. Every class is thoughtfully planned so each dancer is truly learning and progressing, not just going through the motions. You can see that same level of detail in everything else too--from well-organized picture days to beautifully executed recitals that feel seamless and special for every family involved. Nothing is overlooked. Now that my daughter dances here, she knows the expectation--hard work, focus, and pushing herself to be better every day. It's not just about dancing, it's about discipline and growth, and I love that she's being challenged in the best way. And the passion? It's everywhere. It starts at the top and trickles down into the culture, the dancers, and even the little details like the apparel. She has tried to implement ideas to add structure to the studio (which we all loved the idea of) but because she is so incredibly immature it has been more negative than anything. She talks terribly about parents and students she doesn't like (as if she doesn't think word gets around). She is quickly gaining the reputation of saying one thing and doing another. It's a shame because our kids have been dancing with each other for years and still have a passion for their craft. So we are forced to shut our mouths for the sake allowing our kids to dance with their friends they've become so close with over the years. Most of the parents are professionals and business owners themselves. And are genuinely shocked when they communicate with her. And even more shocked at how immature she is when she walks around the studio. For lack of better words, she's reminding us of everything we hated about high school. Please do yourself a favor and rethink placing your child in this studio. Go somewhere that you're comfortable allowing your child to spend a lot of time at. Because once they've established friendships and their place on a team it's nearly impossible to place them in a different studio. Thank goodness for most of the teachers there. But you better hold your breath if you get a teacher that's in cahoots with her because your child WILL loose their passion for all things dance. One more thing. They should've checked the tags for the costumes they charged $120 for last year. We know it was $9.89 from Shein. We ordered it to make sure and it was the SAME EXACT ITEM. Same tag and everything.

This is our first year as our daughter is part of the cast and I have to say we are planning on making this part of our holiday tradition! A wonderful production, talented cast and perfect holiday experience. The theater is very comfortable and you feel part of the production. There are programs all year long for performers of all ages and experiences. Please come to Fairport and enjoy one of their many shows or just take a class!

I always skip the child. This season started last week with Pete the Cat. I'm looking forward to the Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley. The theater itself is small-ish, meaning that there is no bad seat in the house. Freyda, who runs TYKES, is one of the kindest people you will ever meet and works hard to secure excellent children's shows. She's also a funny lady and does local comedy with the group EstroFest.
