Between my wife and I we had slightly different opinions on this place. She decided on a 3 and I decided on a 5, together we averaged it out. While somewhat pricey, Off The GRIDdle creates some amazing plates. Of all their choices, the fries with garlic aioli were my favorite. I have also gotten "The Big Pig" twice now which was extremely filling both times. The service was super friendly from the food truck as well. Unlike other food trucks, the people working here actually seemed to enjoy themselves.

First food truck of 2020! The truck came by Edgewater yesterday which was awesome to get out of the apartment for some food during this virus craziness. Ordered the pig big and was impressed! The sandwich was very good and big. I'm personally not the biggest bbq fan in the world so I could have went with a little less sauce and maybe a creamier coleslaw but it was still very good. Definitely going to try the Cuban out next time, it looked fantastic! Thanks for coming by yesterday during the virus, I think I speak for everyone that is was much appreciated!

I got to check out this truck last trip to Cleveland and absolutely loved it. I stumbled upon this food truck while it was parked outside of our Cleveland office and decided to give it a try. I had the veggie pita and it was awesome: fresh veggies topped with a creamy sauce all on a chewy pita, I was in heaven. It came with a side of fries topped in garlic aioli and I couldn't get enough of that amazing sauce, I wanted it on everything! The lady at the order window was wonderful. She was willing to answer any questions I posed and explained the menu options, making sure I was one happy vegetarian. Several times I saw staff come from inside the truck to insure everything was clean, napkins and condiments available, and everyone had what they needed. From the great food to the stellar customer service, this is absolutely a food truck I would frequent any chance I could.

Off The GRIDdle was located outside a friends apartment the other day so we decided to give it a try. Food trucks are one of my favorite ways of trying new places because the service is quick and the food is usually really good. The staff was super nice and welcoming! I went with the Big Pig which was a flatbread with grilled ham and bacon, pulled pork cheddar jack cheese and topped with slaw and BBQ sauce. Everything about this experience was great! I would recommend checking this food truck out if you ever see them around Cleveland

The truck popped up in our neighborhood and I thought we'd try it. I got the chicken tacos with corn salsa in flour tortillas. I also got the french fries with aoli sauce. The chicken tasted as if it was just taken off of the chicken, moist and very delicious. The food was prepared very quick and I was really impressed. I hope the return to the spot!

I had the pleasure of visiting this food truck on Public Square's Food Truck Tuesday event. It was a beautiful day to sit outside and enjoy some street food between meetings! Even though there were tons of options, we chose Off The GRIDdle because 1) it had the longest line so we thought it would be the best and 2) had the healthiest menu items amongst the bbq-heavy lineup. Even though the line was long, it moved very quickly and our instinct was right - it was very good food! I ordered the chicken taco salad and let me tell you - they do NOT skimp on the chicken! There was a solid layer under the black bean/corn salsa and it was about a 2:1 ratio to the actual lettuce. I love meat, so I was really happy! I normally am not a fan of corn, but the salsa was really tasty. The fries are also a must-have if you like spicy, well-seasoned fries! They're super addicting. I love that they have healthy and vegan/vegetarian-friendly options. It's a nice break from the work food scene, and I will definitely recommend to people in the future!

On a recent visit to Food Truck Monday at Legacy Village, I tried a Cuban Flatbread from Off the GRIDdle food truck. The flat bread was grilled, crispy, and pretty tasty. It didn't hold together well when eating it, so it fell apart and I had sauce all over my hands. The Cuban was pretty tasty, but the ham lacked flavor. There are so many other food truck options in the area, so I'll probably skip this one next time, unless they offer other menu options.

One of the best food trucks in town. Pork is delicious. Service is great and takes credit card!

I'm not a huge fan of food trucks despite the fact that I hit them up whenever they're available to me. Their unique menus reel me in. Cleveland's food trucks in particular tend to follow a pattern: put some kind of meat (usually Korean BBQ) on some kind of carb (usually a flour tortilla), and throw all kinds of toppings on it (usually some kind of slaw, aioli, spicy mayo, and tots). All these things sound good, but the end result almost always disappoints. Enter OTG. Their menu consists of waffle and naan sandwiches. No Korean BBQ? They already won me over. I love KBBQ, but whatever those other food trucks are serving up is not KBBQ. I got the "Acapulco Pulled", which is adobo-rubbed chicken, black bean and corn salsa, and avocado-lime sauce on a buttery naan. This was really good, and very filling too. So good that I ended up getting a "Strawberry Banana Almondine" also, which is strawberries, banana puree, and almond slices on a waffle. This was not so good. The toppings were straightforward, but the waffle was not very good. It was just soft, mushy, flavorless dough in the shape of a waffle. Overall I was pretty satisfied and would probably go again. I'd steer clear of the waffles though.

Excellent food. Exceptional service from Ashley and Beth. Positive feedback from our guests. We already plan to book again for our next event. Thank you for making our grad party memorable!

The high-quality food was amazing (I'd recommend the Big Pig) and the staff was very nice and easy to work with during the event.

The food was just spectacular! So many options and such creative spins that tasted out of this world. Everything was served hot and fresh. My guests RAVED all night long about how amazing the food was. Several took food home and the texts rolled in the next day as well. On top of that, the staff was just amazing. So personable, friendly, accommodating, while working quickly and efficiently. Everyone enjoyed hanging out and talking with them while ordering. My party truly would not of been the same without them there. I will definitely use Smash Time again and highly recommend!

I specifically sought out to try one of them. SWAT's menu specializes in stuffed burgers and they have some very creative options. I was looking for something lighter and healthier so I went with Smash Time. Their menu consists of different taco variations + apps like bacon wrapped pierogies and Rockefeller frites. I wasn't in love with the prices (apps were $6 and tacos sold 2 for $10 or 3 for $12) as it prohibited me from trying an app along with a taco without spending at least $16 on lunch. Comparatively, SWAT appeared to be priced well with unique burger creations ranging from $8 to $10 along with $3 sides. I ordered the gangnam style tacos with roast pork, kimchi and chili sauce. The pork was flavorful, but it felt like a taco I could make myself at home. Nothing really stood out from the large, competitive taco game - normal flour tortilla, some cabbage and what tasted like store bought chili sauce. It was ok but it did not make me wanna dance gangnam style. I would be back to try the rockefeller frites (the lady in front ordered them and they looked awesome), but I won't seek this food truck out specifically amongst the bunch.

Shaved ice is exactly what the name sounds like - it's basically ice shavings, topped with condensed milk, fruit, and/or asian toppings like red bean, green bean, boba, mochi, etc. Shaved ice does not exist in Cleveland, as far as I know. Shaved snow is a cross between shaved ice and ice cream. Think of it like taking a pint of ice cream rather than a block of ice and making shavings out of it. Then add the toppings that I mentioned above. These guys debuted their shaved snow at the nightmarket last week. Their shaved snow is very good! Tasted exactly like the shaved snow you would find in California or New York. I love these guys just for that! My one qualm is that they are lacking in Asian toppings. As of the time of this review, they have red bean, mochi, boba, fruits (like strawberries), and cornflakes (?!). Bring some small and large red bean, green bean, ai yu jelly, grass jelly, lychee, and five stars it is! They do NOT have a storefront, but they said they would be getting a truck soon!

So, if you don't know already, shaved ice is a classic frozen treat in many Asian countries- often topped with sweet toppings like fruit, red beans, mochi, etc... It's an amazing treat, especially when the heat rises. There was quite a line to get a taste but it gave me the chance to my choices. The brothers James and John, I think, we're very friendly and answered the questions people had patiently. I got a traditional ice with condensed milk and raspberries and mochi. It was tasty, though I would have liked to put more ingredients in mine. Good quality raspberries and finely shaved ice made for a refreshing treat. It'd be nice to have one that had The Works so you could get a sample of all the toppings. Next time I'll get the red beans, and it'd be nice to get other traditional ingredients like sweet corn. Looking forwards to coming back again. Great job guys!
