I finally found the best quality place and person for a color retouch in the Round Rock area. I have blond hair but with some bad color jobs in Round Rock and Austin, my hair is looking brassy and is breaking. I don't feel good about my hair right now. After reading yelp reviews I visited three different places over the past year that boated excellent reviews, only to be very disappointed each time. Twice I was quoted a price over the phone and suddenly at checkout the price was $30-50 more. Once someone told me the products they used would make my hair healthy and grow longer. $175 of products later and only the stylist was happy with that extra sale. Run Forest! Being hesitant I called Off The Top and spoke with Stacee. I asked about a general price range. Not only did she charge me what she quoted, she did the best color out of all three. She didn't try and sell me extra conditioning treatments or marked up products. She didn't even ask me to write a review after I shared how happy I was with the service. My hair is a gorgeous blonde and I had a fabulous conversation with her. I've had countless compliments From men and women since she did my hair. I love the L'Anza product line and Stacee's color brilliance. The color took less than two hours and I look great. I'm Leary of someone who asks for reviews or who tries to sell me marked up product or extra treatments. The salon is small and has a boutique feel. I enjoyed the other ladies as well. Super positive vibe. Stacee is one of the most honest and genuine stylists I've ever met. Great human being. I'm so excited to say I finally found the right person for me. This was my first time there. I went in for a color and a cut. Although I am happy enough with the color, I felt the process was done a bit carelessly. Caden, the woman who did my hair, was essentially slapping the dye on my head, carrying globs of dye from the bowl to my hair, dripping it along the way. And then came the haircut. The worst I've ever had. I planned to take some off the top but after noticing that she had never cut a fade before I told her I didn't want the top cut. I left with a decent color job, and the sides of my head were cut completely different and uneven. It was horrendous. I will not be going back here again. And I do not recommend this particular hair dresser, at the very least, for a men's haircut. read more

STACEE IS THE BEST!!!! She is the best hair colorist I've ever had, and her hair cutting skills are phenomenal. I used to dye my hair myself, and I've had some poor experiences with other folks... but now that I've found Stacee, I refuse to let anyone else touch my hair. I originally found her because I needed someone to help me fix my ombre job. The ombre got brassy really quickly and there were a lot of cheetah spots on the bottom layers. Stacee whipped up a special blend to help adjust the tone and keep my hair from falling out. The toner she applied smoothed out the color SO MUCH. She wanted to wait and give my hair a break before putting more color into it. I appreciated her care and advice! I followed up with her weeks later to re do the actual ombre. She did a beautiful cascade of deep chocolate color at my roots to the perfect medium honey brown at the tips. She feathered in the dye and hand painted the strands so it looked like natural swirls of color. I mean, never in my life has someone been able to replicate my exact vision. I trust this woman like no other!! You want to know the best part?? Her prices are SO REASONABLE! Top notch hair color and cutting for amazing prices. She wants you to be satisfied, not gouge you. It is very rare that I give a 5 star , I live in Killeen and ever since my amazing hair dresser past away 4yrs ago I have not been able to find someone to come even close to her ,so I decide to venture outside of Killeen.I did my online reach and came across Off The Top Stacee had wonderful reviews ,so I made an appointment for my daughter and I for this past Saturday , Stacce is very down to earth and has a wonderful personality she had us both laughing the hole time ,we felt right at home . When my Daughter was all smiles after she got done with her hair ( who is VERY PICKY when it comes to getting her layered ) I knew that my hair which i was having cut very short with high lights was going to come out wonderful and indeed it did , needless to say that my search for a dresser is over . Stacee has been my hairdresser and my 20 year old autistic son's hairdresser for years now. She is an excellent colorist and she is so accommodating to my son and his needs. I'm allergic to hair color and we have tried many ways to get the color that I want with out going into anaphylactic shock. Now Stacee uses foils so the color never touches my head. Since then no problems at all. She is a great lady and a wonderful giving person. I'll be with her for the rest of my life. Love her and her family. read more

I came for a cut and colour after I read some reviews about Stacee's work. I wanted a dark reddish brown fairly close to my natural color, but I wasn't sure what exact shade would look best with my skin tone. I didn't want it to be too coppery! After looking at my hair and the colours I'd pointed to in the book, she pulled out different colors and mixed together a perfect blend. She worked quickly and juggled clients (while the colour oxidized, she curled another lady's hair and finished just in time for my shampoo). She's very efficient and runs a tight ship! The staff was friendly, chatty, and made me feel welcome there on my first time. My hair is super soft and the color change is subtle but perfect for me. I highly recommend this salon, and Stacee in particular!! Also, as others have mentioned, the water pressure is AMAZING. read more

I have had the same hairstyle since high school, that was a LONG LONG time ago. (Hello 1981) Stacee was handed a task I wasn't sure anyone could pull off and she colored and cut my hair so efficiently that I am fairly certain NO ONE else will EVER again touch my hair. Don't ever go here if your are concerned about your health. This was my first and LAST time at this salon! The only reason I give it a 2 , is that the color was very close to what I asked for. Other than that, I have never gone to a more filthy pig sty of a place!! The station of my area was so full of the previous customers crap, that it was overflowing with old dried up hair product, dirty bowls, soda and water cups from the day before etc. I never had my hair color checked by the stylist to see if it was ready , her assistant just told me I was ready and washed, rinsed,toned my hair for 20 minutes with continuous ICE COLD water. After a very quick, rushed trim, once again the assistant styled my hair in a small dungeon room, which had so much dirt and filth on the floor! I was constantly looking for a rodent to appear. I spent good money for what I thought would only be the stylist to initiate and complete the job. Apparently, Stacee books 4 other customers at the same time to make it cost effective for her. I will never go back to such a disappointment. This place should also be reported to the BOH. read more
