This is a true Old School Barbershop! Hair Cuts $15. Add ons…read moreare a la carte. Hard parts, fades... it's for regular guys and fancy Hipsters too. They do strait razor shaves too. They even have that after-haircut powder that smells like your Grandpa did after a haircut. (If your Grandpa smelled good after a haircut, and not like mothballs). I've had my haircut by both guys and it was a dam good cut both times. I want to address that guy who said the girl with the tattoos doesn't listen and gives the same cut every time: I've had just the opposite experience. I have Alopecia. It comes when I get really stressed out and leaves me with bald spots. I hurt my back and couldn't find work after the Montpelier School System illegally fired me for not being able to do my job while on Workers Comp. It was indeed stressful. Anyway the bald spots are growing back, finally, but they got big, (like the size of your average coaster), and grow back as very fine white/blonde hairs. Wow, enough about me... She has been absolutely fantastic about cutting my hair so the spots don't show!! This has been no easy task. There are 3 big spots that are finally growing back. She has masterfully made me look like a normal human being the whole time; 18 months. I found a great new job that I love. I don't think the interview would have been as successful if I had gone in with a bad haircut exposing my circus-freak-like bald spots!!! No one hires Circus-freaks anymore, not even the dam Circus! So poop on you, bad review guy; she's the Bomb!! I have forgotten her name because I'm a doofus, but she's awesome. And so is everything about the Shop. The have great products too. For Men! Try finding that at the Salon. Myles Court is my Barbershop.

Best haircut I've had in a long time--highly recommend. Todd is not only incredibly professional,…read morebut just an all-around great guy. The conversation is easy and laid-back, and you walk out looking your absolute best. My hair and beard have honestly never looked better. I also want to add something that really speaks to his character. During my appointment, I had a full-on panic attack due to personal reasons. Todd handled the situation with genuine professionalism, and kindness, making sure I was okay every step of the way--then still delivered an amazing haircut. That kind of care and composure says everything about who he is, both as a barber and as a person.

I had been a customer of another barber shop in town (small town, you probably know it), and am…read moregrateful to have found Todd's last year. At the other shop, I received good service but never felt like they nailed the style since I didn't know what I wanted. Todd coached me through some style vocabulary at my first appointment, and I've been increasingly satisfied with my cuts now that I know how to ask. "Bald fade crew cut, blend the back and sides but leave the top a little long. Whitewall the ears." Couple tips-- If you're tying to find your style, book the unisex custom and ask Todd which styles he recommends for your face shape. Remember that appointments are short, so be prepared to commit to something. I've tried a few styles that I didn't feel fully suited me, and learned something each time. Ask Todd about something interesting and see where the conversation goes. Not only is Todd a skilled barber, he is also a master conversationalist. I've talked about the pros and cons of keto diet, the origins of modern bread making yeast, the Darwinian evolution of our species, and more. Don't be shy to start a random conversation while Todd is in his groove. I always come away with something valuable. If you need a specific time, book in advance. Appointments tend to fill up back-to-back and it can be tricky to get one if your schedule only has a few windows during the week. The positive thing is that you get to interact with the other people booked ahead/after you. Good atmosphere with the other guys in the shop. This review felt important to write, because I was looking to recommend Todd to a friend and saw some distasteful reviews. I want to say my experience has been only positive, and his cuts have helped me both personally and professionally. Waylon Middlesex VT

Sonia is a goddess She does magic with color, is thoughtful…read moreand thorough, will do what is healthiest for your hair and is easy to get in touch with to book appointments. I've been going to her for 3 years and won't go anywhere else. She is super pleasant and her place is so gorgeous and friendlt

I went in for some fun streaks of color. My husband was there and remembers me carefully repeating…read moreto the stylist, "Just a few colorful streaks. Do NOT give me roots, because I will not keep up with covering gray hair." I told her that in two weeks were my 30th college reunion and a big family event I wanted to look especially good for. Well, the stylist did exactly what I said *not* to do. Partway through the process, there were so many foils that I said, "It looks like you're putting color on too much of my hair." She said she wasn't, and explained her process in stylist-ese that I didn't understand. The next morning revealed that she'd given me roots that started four inches from my scalp. From there to the ends, all my hair was colored! When I tied it up, it looked like I had on a cap of gray/brown hair with a multicolored ponytail attached to it. Yuck, clown time! I called the stylist and asked her to please, please get me back in for a repair. At this point, she had the opportunity to make me a loyal customer for life, if only she'd said, "I'm so sorry we misunderstood each other. Let's get you in and make it right." But no, she was defensive and deflective. She couldn't get me in before I left for my reunion/family trip, but then she said that she prefers to keep any color "adjustments" to within two weeks of the original color appointment. She took zero responsibility for the misunderstanding. She never once said she was sorry or tried to empathize. She even corrected the word "repair" to "adjustment." She tried to blame me, saying, "I asked you to bring pictures of what you wanted." When I then showed her photos, she said, "I guess I don't understand what you're looking for." Also, this stylist finishes other people's sentences. Not only is that annoying when I'm conversing with her, but it makes me think she isn't into listening to others. Fortunately, I found a wonderful local stylist (Side Porch Salon) who gives me awesome fun streaks of purple, etc., and Orbit in Burlington, where Kerry knows just how to cut my long, curly hair.
