I was a walk-in for a restoration project from a crappy haircut I got at a different barbershop in Knoxville. I sat for maybe 5 minutes and was taken in by Dee. Dee took care of me and got me looking right for my wedding. All the guys in the shop were great. Everyone was friendly and the the barbershop had that true, traditional barbershop feel. I appreciate making me look good for my big day. 10/10 would recommend this shop to anyone unfamiliar with the area and needing a shop to get your hair looking right. Great barbershop! Great prices as well. I usually get my haircut with Cam who always does a good job. Love the conversations with him and the owner Rodney! Humorous and relatable guys! I usually come in once a month with my current hairstyle but it always feels like I was just there since they make you feel welcome. My sons and I have been going here since they opened. Rodney and Bruce both do a great haircut, and prices are low. Rodney works mostly by appointment, while Bruce is walk-in only. There is a third haircutter, Spanish/English bilingual, who seems to be very popular with young Hispanic men, and I believe they have recently added a fourth. The wait is usually very short for walk-ins, and Rodney keeps to his schedule. One thing I particularly like is that, if I bring a photo of myself with a haircut I liked, they will duplicate it perfectly. The salon is adjacent to a Subway, so lunchtime is a good time to come here if you want to multitask. The place is very clean. Several years ago while living in Farragut, I took a Saturday morning and drove all over the "hood" in Knoxville looking for a barber. There were several shops, but none I was comfortable with. While going to get a Subway sandwich after one of my daughter's soccer practices, my wife said, "Why don't you go in there and get your hair cut?" Not even looking up, I said to her, "Why would I do that?" She replied, "Because there is a black guy in there cutting hair". Rodney+ has been cutting my hair for the 7 years that I have lived in Knoxville. Clean, respectful shop, professionally operated. Need a haircut? This has been my go-to spot since moving to Knoxville. The guys in there do a good job on cleaning you up for a reasonable price. Ive been in a couple different barbers and they all did what I wanted. One time I ended up coming back after a cut (same day) because I wasn't sure If I liked the way the sides were cut after I got home (which was my fault bc I told him I liked the way it looked initially when he asked). He let me back in right away and was really accommodating and understanding making sure I got it to exactly what I wanted. A heads up that do get busy! So I expect a lot. Off the Top delivered. Walked in and there was one waiting seat open. Sat down and listened to the chatter. It was hilarious talk on sports and life. Waited for about 45 mins watching kids, teens and adults getting there hair cut. Everyone of them walking out with a amazing cut. When it was my turn to sit in a chair, I was asked what I was looking for. Told him what I wanted, and man did he deliver. Also cleans my hair up with a straight razor. My hair feels sharp, like it should feel. So if you are looking for a barber this is your place. You may have to wait. But in the end it's a worth it cut. read more

I had my haircut last Saturday here. I decided to give it a try because of the great reviews and it's a lot nearer from my place compared to The Volunteer Barber Shop where I usually get my haircut. And boy it turned out to be a great decision. The place was packed and many folks were waiting but most of them are in line for the owner (I guess) and the Hispanic guy. I went for the middle eastern guy (John) who's just waiting and he did an awesome job. He was never in a hurry because no one's on queue for him. This place is great because of the obvious good vibe. When you have barbers from all sorts of race (black, white, hispanic, asian) you can just feel there's no tension or a sense of being out of place. Love the diversity. read more

I recently moved to West Knoxville from Phoenix, AZ, and was looking for someone who could knock that shit outta the park. Rodney crushed it. I had read reviews about other barber shops that had pool tables and root beer and neck massages and etc. I need none of that, just a solid hair cut and lined up with a straight razor. Walked in looking for a quick haircut and being used to walking out of haircut establishments with doubt and remorse that either my cut didn't look right or I had just overpaid for something my wife could do for the cost of some clippers at Walmart. HOWEVER, when I walked out I felt super confident. I knew I looked good and the countless compliments I received over the next couple of days were evidence.
