The gentlemen are professional tradesman of the craft. Love the haircuts, friendly chats and the overall banter amongst them and fellow patrons. When I see television shows depicting barber shops this that place. This is not Great Clips, Super Cuts or some other chain type "whack a cut" assembly line. This is an old school barbershop. They give you a good haircut at a fair price. No gimmicks here. It's $21 for a haircut, which includes shaving the neck. There are 3 barbers and I've had cuts from each of them. During the week, it's walk-ins only, and on Saturday it's by appointment. I appreciate the consistency of the service and having the same guys cutting your hair. No staff turnover here because it's their shop. The ambiance is comfortable. It's a barbershop. The conversation is easy and familiar. I get a haircut once a month and after just 3 visits, they remember me. read more

if I could give the place negative stars, I would. The haircut was fine, but the barbers there have the filthiest language I've ever heard in a semi public place. it's awful right wing racist, prejudiced hate speech. they make some of the dirtiest nastiest jokes that they seem to think are funny. filthy language keeps up and even got worse when they were kids in there. I've received a haircut from every barber in this barber shop. I also don't stick with the same haircut too long. Every time I've been there they've been knowledgeable and efficient. I've always left satisfied with how I look. They also don't charge an arm and a leg. If you want a true barber shop experience then this is where you need to be. I recently moved to Lenoir City and I visited Traditions this morning for the first time. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the shop and the friendliness of the barbers. Jason did a great job, actually better than any haircut I have had in the last 2 decades. From the second I walked in the door, it was evident that they would be following the CDC guidelines for protecting their customers and themselves with regard to COVID-19. Excellent place and the guys do know how to cut a flat top correctly. Good prices for haircuts. Not too sure about a barbershop which also offers waxing but I guess the preppy "guys" want that. I absolutely hate changing barbers. But I moved to Lenoir City from Kingston, so I needed to find one in my neighborhood. First of all, I want a barber, I like a close cut that also requires a bit of razor work. I want an old fashioned style barber who will take good care of me and not treat me like I'm the next burden on a long list of walk ins, or set me in his chair for a rushed 5 minute peel. SO - I'm on 321 in Lenoir City and see this big new barber sign so I decide to stop in - and was very pleasantly surprised. The shop is exceptionally clean and neat, the A/C was on and it was comfortable, the Barber was well dressed, clean and neat (I like this because if someone is a slob then they probably don't keep their equipment the cleanest....no thanks!). The Barber took very good care of me. He treated me well, was pleasant to talk with and best of all...he was meticulous with his work. Excellent job!! I'll be back, this is my new shop and next time I'm going to try an ole time shave...they shave at the shop as well but I didn't have time my first trip. Traditions Barber Shop -- great place. Moving to Lenoir City I knew it could be a hassle finding a great barber but I found Traditions Barber Shop and it's just want I needed. Old-style barber shop with traditional and contemporary cuts and styles. Razor cut on the neck if you prefer. Also, they do an excellent job trimming and shaping your beard. Yes, it is truly as good as it gets...it's like going back in time, really. If you want a reasonably priced professional hair cut and a shave with a hot towel and hot lather, this it the place for you. Lively and manly conversation is what makes this a gathering place, but you better have your wit with you when you walk in, because the team there has heard it all and they will let you know very concisely that your story is not a secret and neither is anyone else's...so be ready to hear the "truth" about the people that frequent this wonderful establishment. Jason and Cass (sp?) are real pros...they know what you need and are not bashful about telling you what's good for you, especially when it comes to traditional grooming for today's man. They taught me about "wet shaving" and set me up with the products I needed, all at a reasonable price. What a difference it has made for me.
