Great donut selection and the donuts are super fluffy. There is no seating, it is definitely a grab and go before you get on the dart. Service was very friendly and walked through their favorite flavors. The place is very clean and there is normally a long line. I got the pistachio donut which was good however it had very little pistachio flavor which was disappointing but I would go back to try other flavors.
This donut place not only smells delicious but is delicious. They have a variety of donuts to include some unique ones. For instance, for a limited time they have a Homer donut. My kids and I had to try this and it was everything my 10-year-old mind thought it would be (dreams do come true!). Overall, good donuts and great service. Enjoy.
I recently had a chance to stop by Offbeat on my way to the train heading out of Dublin. Visiting from the US and we have some excellent donut choices, especially when they're smaller independent shops. Those are where the good donuts are, in the states anyhow. But the options at Offbeat were amazing, the choices, satisfying beyond compare. I have dietary restrictions for dairy and their vegan option was far beyond acceptable. I was glad to have stopped by. In addition they make really, really good coffee there as well. Worth a stop by in my opinion, I'd go back again when I'm in town.
The one thing we did not need at the end of our first full day in Dublin were donuts. But, at some point during the day - after one too many pints, I'm sure - I'd convinced myself and my husband that I'd invented a new game for us while traveling: The Donut Dawdle. This was inspired the sheer number of donut shops we passed while wandering the city streets. We were full. We were tipsy. We were tired. We were on our way back to the train station when we passed by the open Offbeat Donut and thought, "I surely can't shove another thing into my gullet...let's get some donuts!" Stepping into the small storefront, we stood staring at the display, mentally calculating which donuts would be best to consume. I decided on the Caramel Crumble, and my husband went with the Lemon Meringue (shocking me completely; he's not typically a citrus guy, and usually shuns tart items that aren't cherries.) We stepped up to place our order, and the girl at the counter told us it'd only be one Euro more to get a third donut. My husband glanced at me, and we silently agreed that it only made fiscal sense to get the third donut; the Nutella Ring swiftly landed inside the box, to be carried from train station to train station to hotel room. We made it through two of the donuts that night. My husband again surprised me by not only devouring the Meringue donut, but by giving it high praise along the way. He said that lemon meringue wasn't overly tart, and that the donut itself had a nice light, flaky texture to it. My Caramel Crumble, meanwhile, was busy living up to its name. One bite in, the thing started to fall apart. In fact, my husband took a picture of me and the donut as I was mid-bite, and you can see a giant glob of the Biscoff spread sitting on top of the napkin in my outstretched hand. The donut was good - I loved the texture of the dough and the fact that the filling wasn't too sweet - but I did end up losing (and tossing) most of the Biscoff filling. It was too much for one donut, and I didn't feel like popping a pile of pudding into my face once the donut itself was gone. The Nutella Ring was safely stored for an early-morning consumption; we shared it before heading out to breakfast the next day. This donut was probably my favorite, mostly because it was the least "fussy" of the three. And by that I mean it didn't have a filling that fell out of the middle as I was trying to consume it. The Nutella flavor mixed well with the large chocolate flakes, and even though it was a day old at that point, it still felt fresh and soft when we took a bite. This was the first of three donut shops we stopped at during our five-day stay in Dublin, and it turned out to be our favorite. We had planned on grabbing a few more before leaving, but never made that happen.
On my first morning in Dublin, I knew I would need to get my hands on some donuts. I saw the Offbeat Donut sign hanging outside and I knew this was the place. I ordered the unicorn donut and oh my god. This was the best donut I've ever had and as a donut lover, that's saying something. The dough was a perfect texture, not light and airy like a donut in the states, but more dense but just as satisfying if not more so. Hands down, amazing. Then, I decided to get another one that evening as a snack and because I love chocolate and peanut butter, I opted for the chocolate peanut butter filled donut. I had such high hopes for this donut after the first one but it was utterly disappointing. The donut was very dry and there was little to no peanut butter filling. I would not recommend it at all, 3 stars at best. But, the first donut was so good that I would still recommend this place as a whole, definitely make it a stop. But maybe skip the filled donuts.
Pros: -Lots of fun flavors! -Fun storefront/decor with vibrant pink and clear glass behind the counter that allows patrons to see the donut-making magic! -- Classic Glazed Airy and melts in your mouth! My favorite of the three. Smore's Stunning looking, but missing much graham cracker flavor and the only chocolate component I tasted was a subtle note of Nutella. Creme Brûlée Met expectations by delivering a delightful crunch on the outside and tasty cream filling. I'd certainly come again to try their only available cake donut option--Red Velvet!

The donut was really good. I would definitely eat it again. The service was also good. My only complaint was the smell of the place. It smelled strongly of cleaning fluid and something else that was off putting. read more

Did not disappoint! We had the Raspberry and the Peanut Butter Chocolate Donuts. They are definitely rich. I suggest getting a water, or bringing water with you. read more
Oscar Wilde said: "Between the optimist and the pessimist, the difference is droll... The optimist sees the doughnut, the pessimist the hole." When Jamie W. found our accommodation on the outskirts of Dublin, I'm sure he wasn't aware that we would be taking a major commuter train to Pearse station, the busiest railway stop in Ireland, in order to get into town. But by, say, Tokyo standards, the Irish notion of "rush hour" just means people stood up for a couple of stops before getting off. That was at least our experience the three days we were there. Just as you walk out of the station toward Trinity College, it's hard to miss the Offbeat Donuts stand to the right where all their bright creations are proudly on display (photo: http://bit.ly/2if0PDB). Despite Jamie's disapproving glare, I felt a need to try one, so I went for the Coffee Slice for €2, the price of all the donuts baked that day. It was a cake donut made of wheat flour and likely chewier than I preferred. It was covered in a coffee glaze and then half-covered with creamy white chocolate curls (photo: http://bit.ly/2i4tN9z). We walked over to Merrion Square where Oscar Wilde's statue resides, to find a bench where we could inspect the donut with a critical eye. Truth be told, I probably could have gone for a plain old-fashioned as I'm not big on the decorative aspects since it was to be devoured momentarily. It was. Yeahhhh there's just no doubt about it, Offbeat Donut Co is damn good. The donuts are delicious and fresh. They come in several unique flavors and even though we picked some up the night before, they were quite fresh and moist the next morning. Highly recommend stopping in! read more

I absolutely love it. What can be better than freshly made donut? Its great- 2€ to 3€ without coffee or 4€ with coffee. Also they have boxes of donuts 3 for 6€; 12 and 24 - dont get chance to see prices - was so exited to try my donut! Staff - good! There are some tables and chairs inside and a bench for about 10 people. Can't wait to come back and try something different! Yum read more

I absolutely love donuts and this place did not disappoint! Their donuts are soft and very tasty! The glaze was equally on point! I was melting in my chair while snacking on these delicious treats! The staff at this location was also very energetic and happy to serve guests which is alway a plus in my book! You must visit this shop while in Dublin. read more
I keep finding myself going back to this place! First of all they have great hours which allows one to indulge in donuts at basically any hour of the day. There's definitely some apartment other donut shops. They also have a wonderful variety of both flavors and different themes with their donuts. One that I found particularly fine was the frozen theme one. Did you have an option of both cream filled and regular donuts too. Prices are decent but it's definitely worthwhile to go for one of the bundle deals. read more

We popped in after a day of exploring and were greeted by a super friendly staff and the lovely aroma of their amazing selection of donuts. The shop itself is tucked away nicely right across the Temple Bar. It's quite small but vibrant with character nonetheless. It was hard to choose, but we opted for the S'mores, Blueberry Cheesecake, and the Lemon Meringue. All were enjoyable with the exception of the S'mores. The LM was absolutely delightful. We felt that the donuts themselves were all just a tad bit dry, but were overall delicious. Would stop by again. read more

I know what you are thinking - yet another Doughnut place !! This one is, however, quite lovely and with a great location and more reasonable prices then it's competitors. If you are a train dweller like me you may have noticed the change in aroma as you disembark the train at Pearse. You are now met with a wall of deliciousness wafting up the stairs. Getting out of the station without being sucked in is a real challenge. The shop is very cool and you can see the doughnuts being made in front of you which i love. They have a great selection each day and the quality is fantastic - you can tell they are fresh from the oven. read more

Probably my second favorite donuts in Dublin, just off of the Trinity College campus. The donuts here range from classics and standards such as glaze, cinnamon sugar, and Boston Crème to creative choices like Lemon Meringue and Apple Crumble. I would definitely recommend the Caramel Apple if you want to get more off beat.. at first glance, it seems as if it might be too sweet; but the donut, filled with an apple pie filling and covered in a glistening caramel coat with the apples peaking out on top was a solid combination. The Coffee Slice donut was average. The servers didn't seem to welcoming however. Might have been the rush. read more
We swung through here a few weekends ago before catching the Dart up to Howth. I had remembered drooling over photos of the Ferrero Rocher and Creme Brûlée donuts so I didn't waste anytime when it was my turn to order. Oddly enough, you can't purchase single donuts so I was told I might as well order a 3rd as I would pay for 3 regardless. My initial annoyance quickly turned to happiness though as my unwanted 3rd donut (the apple crumble) ended up being the clear winner of the bunch. The other two were pretty good but for me the apple was the only I could handle in a breakfast situation. Will return! read more

Located on the ground floor of Dublin's Pearse Street station, the shop can be accessed directly from the station or from Westmoreland street. I've been following these guys since before they opened (I was eagerly anticipating it since I live just a few doors down the road) and have been in quite a few times since. But today I decided to properly get stuck into a big box of their treats and let my colleagues decide for themselves after all my recommendations. We were not disappointed at all. We got a box of 12 different donuts from their range (€24 just incase you want to treat your work pals next week) which you can pick yourself or let them recommend to you. Some of ours included Apple Crumble, Oreo Cookie Crème, Lemon Meringue, Crème Brûlée, Cream Filled Red Velvet and a whole bunch more. You're definitely not stuck for choice in this place - they currently have 22 different types of donuts to choose from with more on the way. We all first chose our favourite donut and then cut up a few others to try a taster of each. Each one was so fresh, light and bursting flavour. I've no idea how they managed to replicate the flavours of other foods (apple crumble and oreo especially) in donut form but they are spot on. They didn't last long after the first bite (the smallest person in office ate the most donuts). From my limited donut tasting experience so far in Dublin, Offbeat are definitely at the top of my list. They also do take away coffee to compliment your donut too. I've had quite a few flat whites on my way to the office and their pretty good. More often than not when you find a good speciality food place the coffee they serve is just average. However I'm really impressed with these guys and my order has been on the ball each time. My only complaint about this place is that the smell is just overwhelming amazing when you're trying to catch a DART. It's incredibly hard to resist grabbing a donut every morning, so if anyone has any tips on improving willpower, please leave me comment asap. read more

Sensational! They really took the Dublin donut craze by the scruff of the neck. Their locations are so handy and there's so much variety. An early downside was that everything was generally sold out on a Friday by the time you were finished work, but it seems like they've resolved this. The best donut is either Cookies and Cream or the new Smore one. Highly recommend! read more
Popped in here during the march for choice as there was a backlog at Westland Row. An army marches on their stomach so we decided doughnuts were a good call while we were waiting. Wow, was I glad I popped in. It's a tiny, busy little shop but the queue moves quickly and the staff are lovely and friendly. We tried the apple crumble, crème brûlée and the caramel apple doughnut and headed back out to join the march. The doughnuts were delicious, fresh and light. The crème brûlée was both of our favourites but the other two were fantastic too. I'd highly recommend this place. read more
