    Pistachio donut
    David S.

Great donut selection and the donuts are super fluffy. There is no seating, it is definitely a grab and go before you get on the dart. Service was very friendly and walked through their favorite flavors. The place is very clean and there is normally a long line. I got the pistachio donut which was good however it had very little pistachio flavor which was disappointing but I would go back to try other flavors.

This donut place not only smells delicious but is delicious. They have a variety of donuts to include some unique ones. For instance, for a limited time they have a Homer donut. My kids and I had to try this and it was everything my 10-year-old mind thought it would be (dreams do come true!). Overall, good donuts and great service. Enjoy.

Absolutely amazing donuts, just what you need before catching your train. The staff are super friendly and suggested their favorites. They have so many amazing flavors, even having a good selection of vegan versions.

The donut was really good. I would definitely eat it again. The service was also good. My only complaint was the smell of the place. It smelled strongly of cleaning fluid and something else that was off putting.

I recently had a chance to stop by Offbeat on my way to the train heading out of Dublin. Visiting from the US and we have some excellent donut choices, especially when they're smaller independent shops. Those are where the good donuts are, in the states anyhow. But the options at Offbeat were amazing, the choices, satisfying beyond compare. I have dietary restrictions for dairy and their vegan option was far beyond acceptable. I was glad to have stopped by. In addition they make really, really good coffee there as well. Worth a stop by in my opinion, I'd go back again when I'm in town.

Yummy donuts! I loved looking at all of them. They are so unique in every way. The Boston crème was delightful. The workers were veery nice as well. Stop in a grab a donut!

What an amazing bite. So delicate, yet so flavorful. They know donuts. I felt like I was enjoying a slice of lemon merengue pie. A perfect little treat.

What can I say... there are amazing. I had the toffee krisp but I don't think you could go wrong with any flavor. Service was friendly and helpful.

Best donuts ever. They have so many different flavors to choose from. The place is so cute and aesthetically pleasing!

The one thing we did not need at the end of our first full day in Dublin were donuts. But, at some point during the day - after one too many pints, I'm sure - I'd convinced myself and my husband that I'd invented a new game for us while traveling: The Donut Dawdle. This was inspired the sheer number of donut shops we passed while wandering the city streets. We were full. We were tipsy. We were tired. We were on our way back to the train station when we passed by the open Offbeat Donut and thought, "I surely can't shove another thing into my gullet...let's get some donuts!" Stepping into the small storefront, we stood staring at the display, mentally calculating which donuts would be best to consume. I decided on the Caramel Crumble, and my husband went with the Lemon Meringue (shocking me completely; he's not typically a citrus guy, and usually shuns tart items that aren't cherries.) We stepped up to place our order, and the girl at the counter told us it'd only be one Euro more to get a third donut. My husband glanced at me, and we silently agreed that it only made fiscal sense to get the third donut; the Nutella Ring swiftly landed inside the box, to be carried from train station to train station to hotel room. We made it through two of the donuts that night. My husband again surprised me by not only devouring the Meringue donut, but by giving it high praise along the way. He said that lemon meringue wasn't overly tart, and that the donut itself had a nice light, flaky texture to it. My Caramel Crumble, meanwhile, was busy living up to its name. One bite in, the thing started to fall apart. In fact, my husband took a picture of me and the donut as I was mid-bite, and you can see a giant glob of the Biscoff spread sitting on top of the napkin in my outstretched hand. The donut was good - I loved the texture of the dough and the fact that the filling wasn't too sweet - but I did end up losing (and tossing) most of the Biscoff filling. It was too much for one donut, and I didn't feel like popping a pile of pudding into my face once the donut itself was gone. The Nutella Ring was safely stored for an early-morning consumption; we shared it before heading out to breakfast the next day. This donut was probably my favorite, mostly because it was the least "fussy" of the three. And by that I mean it didn't have a filling that fell out of the middle as I was trying to consume it. The Nutella flavor mixed well with the large chocolate flakes, and even though it was a day old at that point, it still felt fresh and soft when we took a bite. This was the first of three donut shops we stopped at during our five-day stay in Dublin, and it turned out to be our favorite. We had planned on grabbing a few more before leaving, but never made that happen.

On my first morning in Dublin, I knew I would need to get my hands on some donuts. I saw the Offbeat Donut sign hanging outside and I knew this was the place. I ordered the unicorn donut and oh my god. This was the best donut I've ever had and as a donut lover, that's saying something. The dough was a perfect texture, not light and airy like a donut in the states, but more dense but just as satisfying if not more so. Hands down, amazing. Then, I decided to get another one that evening as a snack and because I love chocolate and peanut butter, I opted for the chocolate peanut butter filled donut. I had such high hopes for this donut after the first one but it was utterly disappointing. The donut was very dry and there was little to no peanut butter filling. I would not recommend it at all, 3 stars at best. But, the first donut was so good that I would still recommend this place as a whole, definitely make it a stop. But maybe skip the filled donuts.

Pros: -Lots of fun flavors! -Fun storefront/decor with vibrant pink and clear glass behind the counter that allows patrons to see the donut-making magic! -- Classic Glazed Airy and melts in your mouth! My favorite of the three. Smore's Stunning looking, but missing much graham cracker flavor and the only chocolate component I tasted was a subtle note of Nutella. Creme Brûlée Met expectations by delivering a delightful crunch on the outside and tasty cream filling. I'd certainly come again to try their only available cake donut option--Red Velvet!

Did not disappoint! We had the Raspberry and the Peanut Butter Chocolate Donuts. They are definitely rich. I suggest getting a water, or bringing water with you.

I knew immediately I wanted to try the Lemon Poppyseed and I also tried the Vanilla Glaze Pistachio flavor. Both were phenomenal!!! Each bite tasted like a piece of home. Honestly, The Rolling Donut reminds me of Dough in NYC and Brooklyn, my favorite donut spot. Sadly, I did not have an opportunity to go back and try the red velvet donut (with cheesecake filling). But whenever I go to Dublin again, this place will likely be my second stop! 5 stars well deserved.

The store is very small and cute, with a majority of the space taken up by the long glass display, which houses their large selection of beautifully decorated donuts. After browsing over the different flavors, the attentive donutarian bagged my order of a single Lemon Poppyseed donut. While on layover in Frankfurt, I finally decided to roll into the lemon poppyseed donutiness... The donut was OK, it had a bready texture, which made sense, because it was a sourdough donut. The glaze on top of the donut was really thick, and it wasn't overly sweet to my taste buds. The glaze also had a light lemon flavor that provided some tartness, and just a few poppy seeds on top. As my friend had mentioned, their donuts are kind of big and filling for one person to eat alone, so I would definitely recommend sharing the love! (and calories)

We passed by the Boomerang Donuts display on our walk up and back down Grafton Street, before our breakfast stop. We had agreed to get our final three donuts here, based on the pretty-looking donuts and the interesting-sounding flavors. The three donuts from Boomerang were the cheapest of the three stops. That should have tipped us off to something, but at this point, we were still oblivious. I went with the Bueno Kinder, my husband got the Boston Creme, and we decided to share the Salted Caramel. Box in hand, we crossed the street into St. Stephen's Green, hunkering down at a bench near one of the bodies of water. The donuts weren't worth the money we paid for them. They weren't even donuts, in the technical sense. The dough was way more dense than any respectable donut should ever be - all three had the consistency of an overly dry cake. The Bueno Kinder had no flavor to speak of, and I found myself separating the "icing" from the dough, creating a pile that would eventually find its way into the hungry gullets of the birds brazenly walking towards us as we tried to eat the donuts we'd just paid for. My husband's Boston Creme had a pathetic squirt of some kind of filling in the middle - he said it didn't taste anything like a true Boston cream, and he had to work through more than half the donut to even find the filling. By the time I got done deconstructing my first donut, I had no desire to even try with the Salted Caramel. My husband, ever the trooper, took a bite then promptly tapped. I took what I could from the base of that donut, adding it to my growing pile of dry crumbs to dole out to the birds, before standing up and risking my eyes to fling the crumbs at the mass of birds. (Note - I don't typically feed the wildlife, and honestly wouldn't have if my husband hadn't suggested it. I think it was a joke when he first mentioned it, but it blossomed into a real "let's do this" thing by the time we admitted the donuts were not meant to be eaten by humans.) I'd avoid Boomerang Donuts like I'd avoid gas station sushi. Just don't do it.

The topping fell off when you ate it and it tasted like cough syrup. The apples and cinnamon and banofee were both good. They were very big yeast donuts that had filling, but not very much filling. They definitely needed more because only a couple of bites had filling. I liked them and would get them again!

As we do when traveling, we start and end the day eating throughout the day. We popped into Bunsen to finally try the legendary burger around 4:30 pm. Because we were there at such an odd hour, we were the only people there. When you visit Ireland, the pub culture is real and most pubs start to get quite busy around 5:30 pm. Since Bunsen isn't a pub and wasn't located in a particularly touristy area , it didn't surprise me they were empty at that time of day. What stuck out the most at first was the super friendly service right from the door. We were sat at a small banquet of tables against the wall and checked out the menu from QR code link on the table. We were there for their original burger so that is what we ordered. No sides and water to drink. I couldn't be filling up too much yet. I like a restaurant that doesn't try to be everything. Our burger came out within 10 min and it was juicy, hot and fresh. Presented beautifully wrapped. We shared this one burger because, we knew we had lots of food to eat later. Immediately after eating the last bite I wanted to order another. It was really that good. Such perfection!
