Our Caldera spa we purchased was nice but this Herndon store provides no onsite assistance for set up or troubleshooting except to sell you product. They do not come out to help you through anything: repairs, maintenance or problems. When I drive to the store ( which is not convenient or close) in person, the staff is nice but can not solve our spa issues. We are unable to maintain chlorine levels and have had to change out water over the past 12 months constantly especially when we go away. It has been a huge headache and expense because the customer support from this store is nonexistent except to keep telling homeowner to do it. I am not a mechanic and cannot service my vehicles, nor am I a spa technician. After 1 year he experience unfortunately has been a bad one. read more

Overall a good experience. 3 1/2 stars. We recently bought furniture for our screen in porch. We ended up purchasing a sectional couch, swivel chair, fire table, mosaic side table, some pouf ottomans and outdoor pillows! We had originally bought two swivels and while delivering realized that two would be be too much furniture. We got on the phone with the store and it was no problem to refuse the second swivel. The delivery guy had a little attitude about it. The fire table we purchased had beautiful blue stones in the store but was delivered with boring looking brown stone. The stones they supplied barely cover the bottom of the fire table. With the amount we spent on the fire table table (retail $2895 sale price $2605.50) we were disappointed it didn't come with the stone shown on the floor or even an appropriate amount of stone to cover the bottom. We did contact our sales rep (in person and email led pictures) and she didn't get back to us right away and I contacted her again and was told I can just add to what I have but their inventory is low. We will probably just go to Amazon or home improvement store to get stones at this point. A little on the pricier side as we spent more than we had planned, but feel like the quality is great. The couch is super comfortable though and is made with sunbrella fabric. The pillows we purchased are amazing Elaine Smith pillows also made of sun really fabric and are so cute! Probably would have been a four or even five star review as overall we love our furniture. However, as I mentioned the lack of stones for the fire pit table was frustrating and not hearing back from our sales rep about it was frustrating as she said she would look into it when I went back to buy pillows from her after our furniture had been delivered and I sent her the picture of the stones provided. The attitude of the delivery guy when we refused a swivel chair also accounts into my rating. We may be back once we figure out what we want for the rest of the outside area but are open to other places to shop as well. read more

A tech on-site the very next day. Until this summer, where it's as if my voice mails, phone calls, and repeated request for service are being entirely ignored. Their showroom is fantastic and there is no better way to really get a feel for the difference between quality outdoor furniture and the stuff you can buy at Costco, Lowe's, etc. Not all cast aluminum is equal and it pays to do your research. We spent hours at Offenbachers looking at options. We were making a serious investment in outdoor furniture and wanted to ensure we could live with - and count on - our choice for the next 30 years. We landed on Hanamint Grand Tuscany and Alexandra was great in working up two very detailed estimates for us. A table with six chairs, a second round table with two swivels, a sofa, club glider, ottoman, coffee table and tea table. The total was nearly $14K; nothing to take lightly. We left with a firm idea that this was our solid choice, but wanted to think about it before stroking a big check. With a desire to rest knowing I was spending my money wisely, I decided to do a little more research and hopped online. Other online retailers sold Hanamint. Some had Grand Tuscany (our choice) and others the mild step down to the equally gorgeous Tuscany. Prices at Trees n Trends and Brandster were shockingly lower, but skepticism of making such an important purchase online held me back. On a whim, I called local top-quality furniture retailer Greenfront in Manassas. They didn't carry Hanamint In Manassas, but did in their Farrmville, VA store. I called and worked with Mary Gordon. In a matter of days, I had the exact same pieces Offenbacher's quoted for more than $5K less. read more

My wife and I purchased about a patio set and a hot tub from Offenbachers which roughly was around $20,000. The employees mainly Rosanne was supper helpful and very respectful. However once sale and delivery was complete all of the nice customer service went out the door and it was as if you were interrupting or bothering them when you would come in for supplies. I can point the finger towards one employee Jackie who was very rude on multiple occasions. We were given a gift card from our purchase that every time I would come in and get supplies they would use the excuse as we changed systems and we can't find your account or the gift card. I can see once, but every time come on! Anyway long story short we were on vacation and Jackie called and said we over spent our card and that we owed them money. My wife said we are on vacation and this will have to wait till we got back. Jackie was like just give me a credit card and we can clear this up. However that was not true and we actually did have money on the card. This was eventually resolved and we did have money on the account and can you guess what the excuse was? We just changed to a new system and that was the error. So if you choose to purchase from Offenbachers Rosanne is your lady, the other ones not so much and make sure you keep your receipts and correspondence with these people as they will try to swindle you out of money. read more

The staff was friendly, helpful and didn't hover over us which was nice. They don't ship out of state which may or may not be an issue for some shoppers. read more

As the saying goes, "the best laid plans of mice and men..." Please stay with me here - this is maybe one of the longest reviews you'll ever read; my husband says I talk too much - but this story has a happy ending! In June we saw a patio furniture set we really liked in a generic outdoor furniture store - but being the "frugal" types we are, thought to see if our preferred outdoor furniture store carried the line. They did, but they were a little more costly. When we mentioned we were going to return to the original store, our sales lady mentioned that store had literally *just* gone out of business and closed its doors! Trust, but verify - and she was right - so we returned and placed our order. Not being in any rush, the delivery date of early September was fine with us. My husband is "that guy," he doesn't let grass grow beneath his feet - so we reserved a truck for the second week in September to pickup and drive our new furniture to our Florida home. Cancelled that truck and made a reservation for the following weekend. Cancelled and made a THIRD reservation as it was now the END of September and seemed crazy that our furniture was still not ready! Mr. "guy" was totally ready to cancel our order, but JACKIE did a YEOMAN'S job "working the deal" with the Tropitone manufacturer to get our furniture delivered. GO FIGURE - COVID was the reason given that the fluffy fill for our cushions was insufficient and all our pieces weren't ready. Turns out the actual Tropitone factory was in the SAME town as our Florida home - and JACKIE was able to get us special permission to pick up whatever furniture/cushions we could get on our end of September trip! YEAH! Well - yeah until we arrived at the Factory and found the furniture had been SHIPPED TO the store in VIRGINIA! Are you kidding?! (And if Mr. "guy" HAD been ready to cancel - you can imagine what he said then) At this point, SCOTT, the Tropitone Sales Manager, stepped in as well - no doubt thanks to JACKIE contacting him and explaining all that had been going on - and they arranged for our furniture to be return-shipped *back* to Florida. Of *course* it was due to arrive after we left - but we have amazing neighbors who agreed to facilitate and take delivery. I had a call (just as we were boarding the plane) to call back and arrange the actual delivery - but when I called back, NO ANSWER! I tried the 2 numbers I had 6 (SIX) times - and finally a LOVELY lady from SOUTH CAROLINA answered! She relayed that she had *literally* just received an email that the Florida location had lost all power - no phones, no computers! She gave me 2 email addresses, and I sent emails asking them to reach back out to me once they had our delivery scheduled for either of the 2 days our neighbor would be available. Yes, they did! LORI - of Old Dominion Freight facilitated and the delivery was set for this afternoon!!! I communicated with our neighbor and all was well ~ True to form - of course that didn't go quite as planned - and the delivery truck driver called that he was 30 minutes away and would be there THIS MORNING (vs this afternoon). Our neighbor was home - and we now have our lovely Tropitone patio furniture set! I'll have to be patient and wait 'til our next visit to try it out - but WHAT A TEAM EFFORT this has been! Can someone please explain to me why it is so difficult to get a clear answer from this place? I sent an email because I'm looking for specific parts for my Caldera spa (i googled the name off my hot tub and that's where they said to reach out to). I started speaking with Rosanne. I'm not sure if it's because I asked, more than once for the model number of what I was looking for and she didnt like that or didn't know that, she went ghost on me. I asked 3 times in 4 days and still nothing. It's like as if they refuse to help unless I spend my money there. Ridiculous. I really wish those in customer service would PROVIDE service. read more

My husband and I came in here looking for a fire pit that could hook up directly to a natural gas line for our outdoor area. We had a hard time at other places (like wayfair and other online stores) finding something that was already set for a natural gas line. We concluded that we'd have to go to a custom outdoor retailer to get what we wanted, which we knew meant that we'd spend more money. When we got to Offenbachers, we explained what we were looking for and were assured they had what we needed. We felt good after looking for months. With the help of their friendly staff, we custom ordered a fire pit that they promised us would be delivered ready to hook up to our natural gas line. $2,200 later, we were told it would take about 4 weeks to be delivered. Eagerly we waited...and waited...and waited some more. Finally, after calling twice, it was scheduled for delivery after 12 weeks of waiting. My husband had taken a morning off work to be there. That morning, while in a meeting at work, I received 3 frantic calls and voicemails from the Offenbachers staff saying that the delivery men were at my house but could not get ahold of my husband and that I needed to leave work immediately to meet them or it would be another 2 weeks until they could deliver again. So I left after being yelled at by the staff. During my drive home, I received a phone call from my husband telling me that they had actually called him around 9am that morning to tell him they would be there at 3pm. So he had left to go into work since he'd now have to take the afternoon off. Offenbachers called me and apologized and said that I didn't after all have to leave work and that they'd come back at 3. I said I was on my way and they delivered it without issue. Fast forward two days, my husband trying to hook it up to the natural gas line. That did not work because it was set up for a propane instead. Many calls and conversations later, we discovered that it needed to be converted by a licensed plumber if we were to keep our warranty. So we called three plumbers. Two refused to do it and another quoted us $1000. Keep in mind - we already had the natural gas line installed on our house. And spending this much on something to begin with was not normal for us, so we couldn't shell out another $1000. Finally, after many calls with Offenbachers (where they were very rude to my husband) they agreed to fully refund and pick it back up. TL;DR - you will pay a lot for nice outdoor furniture but if it's not right, they will be rude to you and waste your time. read more

Not only were the team at Home Escapes super knowledgeable when making my hot tub purchase and selecting the right model, but the after sales service has been outstanding. I needed a replacement part at short notice (rare field failure of a small part) and they got me on the schedule the same day, came out, replaced the part and refilled my hot tub! Amazing. Don't expect customer service beyond the purchase. Once they have your money it's pretty much fend for yourself. We purchased a hot tub in June we were told we would get it in July and ended up receiving it in September. Obviously we understand the manufacturer was delayed due to the pandemic, however we had to continually reach out to our salesperson for an update. There was no follow thru prior to delivery to confirm or explain all the proper electrical components needed . The was no follow up after delivery to ensure everything was running smoothly. The bright side we love our Hot Tub just don't expect much in the sense of communication or customer service. read more

Must say the Herndon staff were as impressive as the Rockville team. I primarily worked with Jackie who could not have been more accommodating- attending to my special needs. I also worked with Sally and Carol - applause for them too. And to top off the experience, the manager Alex was driving the delivery truck before his knee surgery and made a special trip to drop off my items before the July 4th weekend. Highly recommend for all your outdoor needs - furniture, umbrellas, fire pits, etc.... Here I am again. One of my many purchases was a large table that was a bit too large. Jackie was wonderful! She expressed only concern for ensuring that I was absolutely thrilled with my purchase.
