It's your typical dive bar with pool tables (50 cents a game), darts, and TVs for sports. Their wells are $3 which is always a great price and they also have happy hour from 5-7pm which is 50 cents off wells. My bartender Abby was also amazing! We had some great conversations and we realized we were both huge true crime fans and were talking about a particular active case local to Saint Anthony/Rexburg (Mommy Doomsday anyone?). The locals at the bar were very welcoming to out-of-towners which is always a good feeling, and you have great conversations with random strangers which make for the best memories. It came pre-cut, so the kiddo didn't have to handle a huge steak knife to cut it--which was nice. Both came with a generous serving of golden French fries. Fresh cut or frozen, these fries were good! Either a second ramekin of ketchup or a larger one is definitely needed for the amount of fries served. I had the burger. It wasn't fancy--just cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onions--but it was a thick patty with fluffy bun with lots of flavor. It also came with a ton of golden fries. My mom had the BLT that didn't skimp on the pork belly. I wish the stores sold thick cut bacon like that. She said it was delicious. Hubby had the lobster roll. The kids brought the purple potato chips were the neatest thing (they were good, too). The lobster roll was perfectly dressed--not too much and not too skimpy--and tasted surprisingly fresh. This place is a little more upscale than some of the other places we've eaten at this week. We were welcomed as we were--shorts and tees. Other guests were dressed casually, not overly fancy. The adjacent museum was a cool place to visit, too. It housed 3 restored Navy planes that were neat to see. It was described on the menu as having a yogurt marinate, which was already mixed into the dish, but we couldn't really taste it. The tabouli/rice that came with it was also dry and didn't have much taste. The waitress was nice and tried to get more sauce but when she couldn't, she brought olive oil and vinegar which was ok but at that point I would have just liked something different as it was pretty mediocre. Forage is a nice restaurant with some nice options but you should expect to spend a fair amount. I would expect the fine dining experience quality to match the price, but we had enough good food here that I would come back to try something different.

So I took a chance and called just to see if maybe they could fit us in for one night. I spoke to Jess and she allowed as to how she could make room for us but it may be without any hookups. I told her that was fine with us and asked if a spot with hookups came available could she please put us in it. After I hung up I realized that I did not give her my phone number so I called back. Jess said that she did indeed have a full hookup space and that she had already moved us into it. When we arrived we were greeted by Brad the bar tender. He directed us to our spot and told us they were open and serving food until 10:00. Once we got settled we went back in for dinner. We had fish & chips, wings and Matt's hot chicken sandwich. The food was good and the service was even better and pretty fast. It is located about 1/3 mile from the I-15 exit ramp. The scenery is awesome, and considering how close to the freeway it is it was decently quiet. We will definitely stay here again.
