What in the world is going on with Office Depot? Last week, when visiting the Tomball location. I was told that customers were no longer allow to the paper trimmer. The trimmer is now reserved for staff only, and can only be requested when customers place a print order (in other words they removed the ability independently cut self service print jobs). When I offered to place a print order I was told I'd have to wait until atleast tomorrow to pick it up. To be clear, I was literally giving them the paper I just printed using self serve to be cut, and only cut, not reprinted, not redone...10 pages of card stock...2 minutes of effort required if that. Today I visited the Cypress location, where I'm a biweekly customer. The restroom was out of order, one self-serve print station was out of order, and Ofcourse as I'd learned last week, the self service paper trimmer was no where in sight. I waited a little less than 10 minutes for print service to be told that they were not taking any express print orders...while the huge poster in front of the station directly says they take same day orders before 2pm. The staff member specifically told me that "she" is not taking same day orders in a "less than polite" tone. To be honest, the behavior of this employee, specifically her tone and insist to aggressively talk at me was the worst customer service I've received anywhere in months. I'm a weekly-biweekly customer, but I'll sadly be taking my business elsewhere from now on. It take 0 dollars and 0 cents to be nice. read more

I never finished my review but I wouldn't even give this place a 1* but there isn't a zero. This place sucks well the printing place sucks. Self serve only had one machine working and there was a line waiting for the man to get done so I ask the girl behind the printing place to make a copy. Nope wait for the machine. Nope I left and came to a wonderful place that greeted me when I walked in and kindly asked to help me and I got instant help with a smile. Thank you net boxes at 9211 west road. I'll drive for miles to come back to this place before I ever step into the Office Depot at Cypress Towne Center. Besides the copy was excellent. The last copies I got done at the Office Depot was not as good as what I got today but the other girl was very nice but not this little blonde headed girl. She needs a new job!! read more

I stopped by Office Depot to get card stock for a project. The store was well stocked and had what I needed. I was greeted immediately by the person standing at the door. The cashier didn't acknowledge, thank me or ask if I wanted a bag (I didn't). I guess common cashier manners are not expected these days. Ordered a asus laptop online during the sale but had to cancel because of my military bank. Came inside to try and get them to honor the price I paid they said no. I mean if someone willing to come in to buy a computer at least try to accommodate not many people are shopping in this store while I'm inside. Update I went to bestbuy where employees actually wanted to help me and I left with a laptop. Train your employees better I talked to all four even the manager. read more

Office Depot is just o-k... There is nothing special about Office Depot. The staff is not very knowledgeable about any products. The staff has that "I'm only here for a paycheck look." So do your own research before going there. It a good thing I only needed printer ink and knew the exact package I needed. And WOW was it expensive $115 for 3 color cartridges and an XL black one. I don't have to buy this often (Thank goodness!) but that seems really high to me. I have taken a lot of empty inks cartridges there for rewards points. However, I have never received my points. I stopped taking them there. OD-is nothing special. I will just go to Staples, Best Buy or even Walmart for ink next time. Or order off Amazon. BTW-I checked Amazon when I got home and was shocked-the ink was the same price. Might be time for a different printer. read more

Purchased a gaming chair the other day. Matthew, the Store Manager, was delightfully helpful. We paid to have the chair assembled and picked it up the next day. Again, Matthew was helpful. We shop at this location often for school and office supplies and will continue to do so, especially with such excellent customer service. read more

Ordered a set of 15pcs 4x8 invitations. PICK UP SAID WITHIN 20mins, i waited 2 days for this order to be picked up! And when i got there my order wasn't CUT TO SIZE but they put it at the pickup counter! I asked the lady why this wasnt cut and she said you didn't say you want it cut.... And I'm over here standing in front of her probably looking stupid and amaze and asking my self WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD I ORDER A 4x8 CARD AND NOT ASK THEM TO CUT IT? I CAN PRINT THAT ON MY OWN BUT I ORDERED IT SO I DONT HAVE TO CUT IT MYSELF. And she kept saying she will cut it as a COURTESY - IT IS NOT A COURTESY IF I ORDERED SPECIFICALLY 4x8! This is my second time ordering flyers from my work here-the cost is cheaper than most places so I keep returning. But this is absolutely the LAST time I ever go to this location. The lady at the print desk, young with dark hair has no customer service skills. No hello how are you no do you need anything else, no sort of hospitality at all. When I ask her questions she stares at me like I am an idiot. This has been the same girl both times I ordered prints. Long story short, if you don't have customer service skills don't work around people. You should be making someone's day not on the verge of ruining it. read more

Oh my gosh the slow moving line is the worst. It's worse than going to the post office. The people are super nice, it's the slow moving line. Plan to be in line for at least 15-20 minutes before anybody looks at you. It moves slower than molasses. So help you God if you ever have to get copies made. Do yourself a favor and order your copies online from some vendor you can find on the Internet and have it shipped to you. Anything you might ever need as far as office equipment or supplies, buy it online as well and have it shipped to you. Unless you've got extra hours on your hand that you want to waste in store. read more

I love this Office Depot. The last few times I have gone I have had a work issue and Andrew has gone above and beyond to help me. The lines can get a little long but it's usually because they give you their full attention. I have only used their print services a few times but never had an issue. Went in to get info on business cards and to order color copies for a presentation. Lady behind the counter was with a customer and I was next in line. She asked if I was picking up and I said no, I needed info on cards and color copies. She said she was the only one there and that it would be a while before she would get to me. I would have waited if she would have told me she would be right with me. Instead she decided to get me to leave. I would have understood if she had several people waiting. This location is horrible, the customer service is a zero and management is no better. They walking around with headphones on not helping no one. Came here to pick up 30 printed papers and the said it's going to take 1 hour and 30 mins even though I did it online so you have my money already. Get home in 20 min and a text comes in saying your order is ready. Get back to the build and waited 10 mins for someone to help out of 5 people working today. Worst experience ever. These people absolutely refused my business. I asked one of the ladies working in the electronics department and she kindly said they'll price match to Amazon, as long and it is sold and shipped by Amazon. Great! So I go to checkout and ask for a price match, but everyone there kept arguing with me, saying they don't price match. So I go to their website and show them their own price match guarantee, stating both in-store and online store offer price match to Amazon.com, yet they continued to argue with me, probably for the sake of holding up their argument. Would be 1 star, but the kind lady and the very helpful people in the furniture department were enough to keep this store from rock bottom. Thank you for smiling while providing assistance! Nonetheless, the people at the register don't want your business, so just go to the Best Buy 30 seconds away, where they have more products and, wait for it, price match! read more

What a horrible place to have printing done!! Never in my 30 years of doing business I've never see such a facility with such junky print equipment. I've made four trips, 30 miles each way, to get some printing of maps. Each time another piece of equip is down. When i called their "support line" all they tell you us "fill out the feedback form on our website". If i wanted another form to fill out i would have gone to the website in the first place. Even when talking with the manager all you get is "I'm sorry". No attempt to resolve the issues or anything. I will tell everyone i meet to never darken this Office Crapos doors. Horrible! read more

Every time I come in to get orders printed there is something wrong. The manager has very low standards for hiring people. Customer service is non existent. This is mostly directed to the Printing Department. The only reason I keep coming back is because I don't know where else to go! That's it for me, no more Office Depot. I received an email saying that my poster order was ready for pickup. I came to the store the next morning to pick it up and told the woman what I was looking for. She couldn't find my order and kept proceeding to ask me if I was SURE that I got the email. I had the email open and had showed her my order, my order number, and the barcode available to scan (although, she opted not to do this). She still didn't believe me - Insinuating that I was a liar because she couldn't find the order. She finally looked down at a piece of paper and said "Well, is this you??? It says your order was cancelled" like I had been totally aware of the paper behind the counter even existing. The manager came over and could not figure out why the order had been cancelled. She didn't make eye contact with me or give me a clear explanation on the situation. The two women finally told me it must be because the machine is broken and they would give me the $ back. Look, I am a reasonable person. I have grace when things don't work right because this is life and sometimes that happens. However, the way this was communicated to me was entirely inappropriate. The manner in which I was treated and basically called a liar multiple times, also inappropriate. I'm really unhappy with how I was treated at this store. read more

***UPDATE*** 6 weeks total and STILL NO REFUND SHOWING UP. Just called again and they said, "We'll call you back." UNBELIEVABLE. GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. Victoria Sheryl Christina Someone in South America Phil Celensia Felicia BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT. 13 PEOPLE, 3 WEEKS, CORPORATE, PROBLEM STILL UNSOLVED AND TREATED HORRIBLY THE ENTIRE TIME. Desk was supposed to be delivered on the 22nd. We rescheduled 3 times before they actually showed up, and then it was damaged. We kept one of the 2 boxes that wasn't damaged. Was told they'd call, four days later I called because we hadn't heard anything. They had no record of anything being delivered, damaged, sent back, or needing to be redelivered. I was passed on to 7 people over 1 and a half hours before getting the manager at a call center who "solved" the problem. He finally was able to figure out which parts we still needed delivered and PROMISED me it'd be delivered the following week on the 6th, of the next month. On the 6th, they called to say they would be there the next day from 12-7pm. When I argued because I had already taken off work for the 3rd time, they decided they would find a way to get it to us that night around 7 pm. THEY NEVER SHOWED UP. The next day, I called the manager back who PROMISED me it'd be delivered and I'd have no more problems, but he was "in a conference" and the woman I spoke to PROMISED she would give him my number and I'd get a call back before the day ended. HE NEVER CALLED ME BACK. I called corporate, and they transferred me to a call center in SOUTH AMERICA before even listening to what I had to say. I called customer service back and they said they didn't even know who Rob was, so I just told them to give me a full refund and I'd never buy from them again. I was sent a confirmation of the refund and it was short $4.12 so I had to call and speak to a 10th person and re-explain everything. She finally said she gave another refund for $4.12 and I've never gotten a confirmation email about it. I dealt with bad attitudes from many people. I dealt with polite people who had no idea what I was talking about so they just pawned me off on someone else. I was given wrong numbers. I was blatantly lied to. I felt unimportant. I felt like a joke and everyone was laughing at me. I was made multiple promises by multiple people and ZERO of them followed through. I never yelled or used a single curse word or name calling, though I made my feelings of frustration known. For every person I spoke to (13 people) I started fresh and gave them the benefit of the doubt hoping this person would get to the bottom of the problem and no one did. I spent 3 weeks stressed out, angry, upset, and eventually even broke down and cried because I felt so mistreated and defeated. OVER A DESK PURCHASE. So, I will never give this company another penny. Perhaps this is just one person's bad experience, but I find that hard to believe considering the fact that I spoke to 13 people over the course of 3 weeks and never got anyone to fix the issue so I just had to give up and get a refund. To me, that says something about their company as a whole. Even corporate didn't care. I think that's when I decided it was over. I hope the president/ CEO of Office Depot reads this review because I've climbed the ladder as far as I could to try and get my desk situation worked out and not one person treated me right. I have names and records of every conversation with every person I've had but I won't post them here. If the company really wanted to succeed and do right by their customers, I'd receive a call about this from the top of the corporate ladder, but I know I won't.
