The female workers here really prioritize their personal conversations while customers are waiting to be attended. They need a lot more organization because it took them a while to find a single copy and even tried saying they didn't have a order under my name but it turned out they misplaced it. On a curbside pick up order a female employee who's hair was in a bun and the sides of her head were shaved came out and very rudely asked "what did you order?!" And continued to sigh as she walked back in after I responded. It took her another 5 min to back out with a single copy and sighed again. They should have a better attitude and know what their job is and what they should be doing and not asking the customers dumb questions with attitude. read more

BEWARE this location's print shop scam. It's happened to me twice now (and has never happened to me in the Tacoma shop). Each time, I placed an order on their website (because it's convenient) and paid for it via paypal. I get a confirmation and receipt from paypal and from office depot. A few hours later I go to pick it up and they tell me my payment's been declined and that I have to pay for it again... at a higher price (can someone tell me why the print shop prices are dramatically lower via the website as opposed to in person). I show them the receipt I received from Office Depot on line with all the exact specifications and the price I paid. They refused to price match (the manager literally said that it's not his problem that they don't match, he's not in charge of the prices), and then charged me the higher price. The worst thing is that, each time, the next day my credit card received the "declined paypal payment" and I've had to go through my credit card to dispute the charge. In Tacoma, I spent hundreds with the Printshop. Now I will never go back. Once would be a fluke, twice? They really need to get on top of this. read more

They should have one printer open for non business related copies. Stood at the front for over 10 minutes when I had 2 pages that needed printing because they were using both machines to print like 1000 copies for one person. Waste of time. You shouldn't have to wait 15 minutes to have 2 pages printed. And even once the copies were done they took their time getting to my copies. You're better off going to the public library or investing in your own printer. read more

Overall I do enjoy shopping at this location and in the past they were very helpful. I am finding they are having less and less staff and those they do have are not as knowledgeable or helpful. Seems to be societies trend. Also - I was shopping in the store a few days ago and felt something at my leg - it was a dog sniffing with the owner smiling. I have nothing against dogs but I do have personal space issues and I trust dog owners would respect that - plus I do not believe dogs should be in the store. Wow this store needs a refresher on customer service asap Walk in to pickup my pickup order (ink) there is a store employee maybe the manager sitting on the box of paper and the registers are busy to i que up. I watch as other customer come in, she asked if they need help to find anything but never gets up off her boxes. I get to the front of the line after listening to he elderly couple complaining about the lack of service and how the employees appear to be talking to each other in their radio headsets but not getting people checked out . Can't find my order then the lady on the box taking on her headset to my cashier ask him a question he doesn't even hear but I answer . Oh we haven't picked your order on my email says it's ready ? Don't buy in the store things especially office chairs and furniture are always cheaper online. Plus if something doesn't work out you have the digital receipt from you debit or charge card to prove where and when you purchased it. The folks in this store "couldn't find" any record of my purchase made with a debit card. As it turned out they weren't searching even the correct month. Then they deducted more than $100. From my purchase price so I could return the furniture which fit nobody - a pain to get to the house, a pain to assemble, and a pain to return. Claiming they had no record when I showed them the digital receipt is the worse. Don't do business here! If you need to see something in person shop here then buy it MUCH cheaper online which the guys working here do not mention. I'd tell you more but I just want to get away from people like this. Don't let them take your money for products made inexpensively in China and sold for a huge profit. Buy somewhere else or online. You'll be safer if you need to return something. We were in there yesterday (Saturday) 5-5:30 pm & there was not one person on the floor to assist us with a chair. We asked a cashier at customer service & apparently only the associate named Bruce was the only qualified person who could assist us with getting down a chair. So we waited & waited. We saw another associate walk by the chairs & asked for his assistance, but once again only Bruce was capable of that. The associate helped somebody else instead. So after thirty minutes we accomplished nothing. We went to Puyallup instead & somehow they were capable of getting us the chair. We were in & out in less than ten minutes. read more

I just got back from here and while we were greeted when we walked in; we were basically told to rush because they were closing in 5 minutes. The young lady that approached us was rather smug and spoke matter of factly. My son needed something for school and I was browsing for a few things I needed. I wasn't planning to stay in there that long, but being told to rush and get out!! What the?? I can totally understand wanting/needing to close the store(I've worked retail before) but what awful customer service on their part telling a customer to pretty much rush and get out! Avoid at all costs, never have I been in a dirtier store, The store is great if you have an hour to kill to wait to talk to somebody just to find out they don't have it in stock and then another 22 minutes while they look it up in the computer to see if I can order it for you and then only after filling out all your information in the computer will they tell you that the item is back ordered and they don't know when you'll receive it. I went to here looking for computer repair and new office chair as it was advertised they fix computers and had a sale on office chairs, but don't bother with this store, the I.T guy who fixes your computer is a moron it's clear that he doesn't know what he's talking about at all he told me my computer was unrepairable and wouldn't even turn on, it turned on when I left there so what happened to it, when I asked about it the idiot who is their "solutions advisor" sent me to another shop to get it fixed and tried then to sell me an upgrade computer for $900 and he didn't even want to entertain a less expensive option when I asked about another computer, when I inquired about a computer I actually was interested in upgrading to he told me they did not have it in stock which was very disappointing and then when he told me they could order it he promised it would be there in a day and I thought that's great but then after filling out my entire address and card information and all that stuff I get told it's back ordered and he doesn't know when it will be delivered, I also took my daughter who is a teenager with me and technician kept talking to her and as he was helping us he would walk around to "show us an item" but would always end up standing very close to her and it made both her and I very uncomfortable, I would not recommend any young females not to shop here alone. I really don't know why anyone would shop here, when we were here to drop off the computer, I was also interested in a office chair but we looked around for 25 minutes and no one approached us to offer help. disappointing to see a retail store that doesn't care about its appearance or customers. read more

Unbelievable when you do a comparison of the service provided from this location versus the Auburn location. This location employs professionals and they all appear to be very interested in helping consumers. I am extremely impressed by the Printing Service Department - I received a proof of my order allowing me to edify the typesetting if needed. I was given a phone call when my order was ready. When picking up my order, it was exactly what I wanted. I'm extremely happy because when you customize an order, you want it done right the first time (unlike the Auburn location). So, I'll gladly make the drive from Auburn to Federal Way because I'm appreciated as a customer. Also a big thanks to Crystal for helping me get over the edge of 'please don't screw my timecards because Auburn had screwed them up twice'. Great service here!!! read more

Poor service. Finding someone who can help you is hard. And when you do it seems like they don't want to work. Online service is just as bad. I ordered a desk chair online and clicked in store pickup. The website states that "it will be ready within an hour" however I did not get my item till the next day. I placed my order way before 5 pm so I don't know why it took so long for me to revive my item. Don't go here and find some other office supply store to got to. read more

After having an issue with another Office Depot in the area I came here to have my print job done. I want to commend employee Jeff in printing for a great job. I was highly frustrated over the customer service I got at the other location, the difference in pricing between both locations, and the first print job they ran off here, because the printer messed it up and shifted everything right. I was so irritated that I left with just the front half done and figured I could try to re-make the backs of my product to make up for their printer error. After it being too much work I called Jeff back the next day and asked for a re-print so they could fix the centering issue. Their printer would not fix it and it continued to create everything shifted. The colors also came out different with every sample we printed. The pricing issues and printer issues were out of Jeff's control, but he went out of his way to try and edit my document to get it as close as possible. So my rating is 3 stars because honestly, as a print center, Office Depot should get their game together and have equipment that actually works right. That would have prompted me to give 1 star. However, Jeff was very professional and despite being frustrated himself, he handled it well and did everything he could to help me. I appreciate his hard work and willingness to help me. read more
