This lady who was at the front at first had long black hair I didn't catch her name. While I was shopping in the back with my FRIEND she was whispering to me about something private (gossip) and the same lady comes behind us and looks at us weird and says "are you guys good?" I love this store. They have everything. Found the perfect cards that I wanted to mail to my family to give glory to God before I visit them soon. They have all the supplies in case I ever want to make my own cards, or a leather purse, or a doll... I bought some eyes so I can knit a chicken. Custom framed a poster, expensive but that's how custom framing is. Wonderful funny employees, They are so nice to help me each time I come. Nicest bathroom I've ever seen in a department store. Review update! I once left a scathing review on this Hobby Lobby and March of 2020, I am pleasantly surprised by the changes that have been made in the store! I have been coming here the last few months and they have totally upped their game. The store is completely organized and clean, that spending hours navigating the store feels more like browsing a gallery rather than a cluttered antique store. There are a lot of frequent sales for art supplies and clearance aisles are always bustling with fun items that you can't help but to browse and pick up. The other day I went to buy some acrylic paint and some paper pads and literally everything was on a 50% sale. If the item you are looking to purchase isn't offering a hefty discount - be sure to go onto their website / coupon and utilize their 40% off. This location has plentiful parking and is right next door to a Big Lots. If I had any criticism on this location, it would be to train the cashier workers more throughly as lines still seem to form and it can take a few minutes to cash out! read more

I'm a child psychologist as well as a teacher, I went to Hobby Lobby on Wednesday the 28th to get some supplies for the upcoming year. After I had checked out and was walking out the door, I noticed a manager run past me very aggressively to the parking lot, I thought there was an emergency but upon coming out the doors fully to the parking lot, I noticed a MANAGER screaming at the top of her lungs at a little boy. As a child psychologist, I found this VERY concerning. He only seemed to be like 14-16 and this manager was in his face screaming things that I wouldn't even want to repeat. He was a darker skin boy and some of the things she was screaming at him seemed to come from a place of racism, she wad VERY aggressive with him and even threatened him from what I could hear. I'm an avid shopper of Hobby Lobby but this is very concerning for me and I will NOT be shopping at this store anymore if they employ employees who think it's okay to scream at literal children. I've been talking to my colleagues within the child psychology community before writing this reviews, and they pushed me to write something as this was VERY concerning for all of us. Disgusting behavior displayed by a MANAGER of this store. The other darker skin manager was very nice and seemed to be dumbfounded by the WHITE manager going off and saying racist things to this child. The child looked terrified and I felt so bad, this is why I needed to make a review. I will NOT be shopping at Hobby Lobby again, neither wil any in my community, friends or family. read more

I don't get the opportunity to visit hobby lobby often and when I do I purchase clearance items and it's em on sale in the ad. Today I found some great deals...until I got to the register. There wasn't a line. There was one register open and when my total come up I was shocked it was over 60 dollars. I caught one error and she fixed it but still $70 is a chink of change I now need to explain to my husband. When I got home this afternoon. I added up my purchase with the discounts and my total was nowhere near what I paid. I called and asked for a manager who said bring it a back in which isn't convenient since its a 40 minute drive on a good day. It will cost me more on gas to fix their mistake which I questioned in store. So I'm either out 20 bucks or I have to make another trip. Guess I'll be finding another craft store. Understandable with all the staffing shortage but there tends to be one maybeeee two checking out and always a long line. They always seem to have what im looking for. The staff I encounter is either super friendly or they kind of ignore you. For instance yesterday, I waited a long time at the fabric cut counter and after walking away trying to find somebody. I came back over and was talking to her coworker. When I was standing there. No one even greeted me. And then just gave me a hand for me to handover the fabric. Went here today when I was in Lakewood, very well organized and very clean store! They also have very good prices here so while they could have a better selection of Numismatic stuff, they do have some of that also. If Im in the area would most certainly come here- much nicer then some the other stores in this genre. read more

Hobby Lobby does a great job with custom framing, which is why we love going there. We have spent hundreds of dollars getting custom work done at the store in Spokane and have always been so happy with the product. We have always appreciated the store honoring the 40% coupon on parts of the custom frame that are full price, such as the mat or glass. Being military and now living on this side of the state, we decided to bring in a recently purchased painting for another custom frame job. They did good work but when we went to go pay, they refused to use a coupon for any of the full price items that were a part of the custom frame work. Even after asking a manager, they insisted that was their policy and refused to budge. Well, they just lost any future business from me. Good customer service is something that we always loved at the Spokane store but found it profoundly lacking here. Better to spend your hard earned money somewhere else. read more

Hobby Lobby is great! I think it might just beat Michael's and Joann's by a centimeter or two. I mean don't get me wrong, each store has it's sales and prices that are somewhat decent but Hobby Lobby seems so organized and clean looking! Michael's seems overcrowded with items whereas Joann's I think of more fabric needs. I try to come during their sales time for my kandi kid needs. I love when they have sales on their beads and string as well as splurging during clearance on jewels and little knick-knacks. The customer service depends on the day. Look out Micheals. There's a new place in town that might beat you out. Hobby Lobby replaced the old Kmart. (Biglots will be going in next to it.) I've been to this store about 5 times, and have yet to have even a decent experience customer service wise. The first time I was casually shopping and went to check out. The cashier said not one word. I said hello...nothing...how are you...nothing. she just wouldn't speak. I've never been greeted while shopping either, not a simple hello or are you finding everything alright when I looked a bit turned around. The last time I went in for something specific and that sealed the deal, I'll never shop there again. I was looking for beeswax. I looked everywhere and couldn't find it. Finally I found and associate and asked her. Her response? "UGH it's at the end of the aisle!" while yelling. I said um okay I rarely come in so I don't know where everything is. She said, "oh I thought you were that girl that's been following me around." I just walked away to the end of the aisle and she just kept yelling no no no not the end of this aisle, the other one!! I'm not sure if being a rude human is part of the job description or what, but seriously you need to get your associates some training. This store was Kmart before and now It's a pretty wide Hobby Lobby store. A wide great selections of arts and crafts and decorations. When I went there the staffs are friendly, if you need to find something, they are willing to help and show you where its at You don't have to worry about parking because the have a huge parking lot. I love this store! I could spend so much time in here just looking around at all the cool decor and get inspired for different art projects. I love the assortment of photo frames and wall art they have. And also, not to mention the fact that typically everything is always 50% off original price. They always got stuff on sale here. Whenever we come here, I go straight to the photo frames and hubby goes straight to the art supplies section. I could spend hours in here! This palce is a Michaels on Steroids! I love the fact they have several "how to" flyers up and down the rows. I go in with my nephews and they collect them all. I have tried several of them and they always turn out perfect. I have bought shirts from here and they are true to size. It doesn't matter what you are looking for.. in the crafters world this is Heaven. The staff is attentive. Always on the floor, willing to help and this has got to be the most organized place I have seen in our area. I'm wondering what the leadership is like at Hobby Lobby. Every time I have been there not one associate that passed by me greeted me or asked if I needed help finding anything. With that, every encounter at the register consists of the associate speaking over me to the next associate about how they need their break or lunch, and then they nonchalantly greet me. This store is very organized and clean. The prices are reasonable also and they have great sales when I go there. However, the staff members are very rude and will not provide any customer service on the floor. I had specific questions about an item that I nneded to purchase but was unfamilar with. The store clerk told me the aisle it was on and continued to stock the shelf as if I was invisible. Every time I visit this store I have the same experience. Oh...My...Goodness! This is like the Disneyland of craft stores! I've actually heard people humming as they shop, and they are SMILING! This is a fun store with something for just about everyone. My husband, who is loathe to step foot in a Michael's or JoAnn's, actually likes to shop here with me and was reluctant to leave the last time we were here. I can find furniture, fabric, home decor and just about any type of craft supplies here. The employees are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I was looking for one particular item as employees were still unpacking product. They apologized and said they knew they had it "somewhere" but weren't sure where it was. About half an hour later, one of the employees tracked me down in another part of the store with the item I'd been looking for. The store just opened. I go in go to the scrapbooking section. Im throwing things in my cart. I don't have a purse. I have a wristlet. I can't stick anything in that thing. I see a we r memory keepers scrap bag. The big kind that u roll. I've wanted it for ages now. It's on clearance. So I am looking at it. Seeing if anything is broken. Looking at the bags on the inside that can be removed. The manager comes up to me and asks if I am finding everything ok. I said yes and then some... Thank you. Not even 5 sec later I see her peek around the corner at me real quick. This is probably the 100th time this has happened to me at a hobby lobby. I knew exactly what was going on. Then I hear it. Over the loud speaker security bla bla section Urgent check the cameras watch this section. I'm not a thief. And shopping at this hobby lobby I lost it. The manager sooooo not sneaky follows me around. I was walking to look at the copic markers when I see her next to me. Her name is Jennifer. Hobby Lobby. More like a super craft store on steroids. When I think hobby, I think, toy cars, or sports memorabilia, kites, or puzzles. That's just me though, thinking the way a man thinks. If your a crafty and imaginative woman, than this should be your go to stop for whatever you may need. This place has everything and anything you could want for any CRAFT project around the house. Fake flowers, linens, glassware, decor for the house, etc etc etc... Colored paper, notebooks, wind chimes, books about sewing, books about book making, books about magazines. Magazines about everything. Prices go from reasonable to outlandish in an instant. Saw a mirror with huge fake crystals all around the border for 400$. A lot of fake looking prop style decor arrangements for the house/office. If you've got the money, and the time to spend in this place, then it's for you. I was way to overwhelmed with everything though. A bit disappointed at not finding almost anything for a man....and his hobbies, but hey, that's what fall is for! Are you ready for some football?? I have been to this Hobby Lobby branch twice now and I have been received by the branch staff really quite well. No attitudes, no BS, just them answering my questions and if they did not know the answer they went and found the answer. Great Job by the staff! The last time I was in I had a ton of questions and I kept asking the same person these questions. I would have figured that I was becoming a pain in the neck, although this person assured me that was not the case. I enquired about an item that I was going to buy and asked if it was do to come up on a sale week. I was told no, and then was told about the 40% off coupon online.SWEET!!!! But my phone was down to 0 moblie time and I could not get Wi-Fi in the store. Well this person who I thought was a floor staff turned and got me the savings coupon. Talk about service, yea it's all GOOD! Oh this person who I keep asking for help from is named "Dawn" and she is the branch Mgr. and in my humble opinion she's a ROCK STAR!!!!!!!! Customer service rubbed me the wrong way. After checking out and before leaving the register, I noticed two of my items were rung up wrong. I told the cashier as she was ringing up my friend. She checked her out, then instead of fixing my items then, she took another customer and left me standing at the register waiting.
