Back to school time is such a pain! The deals that we all look for are in some of the unusual places. It's almost as if they're sending people on a back to school scavenger hunt. At least that's how I try to cope with the insanity of placing items all over the store. Terrible service we were at their print station for an hour trying to get their printers to work properly (kept smearing, using wrong font) they just kept helping other customers and ignoring us. their wifi does nothing. read more

My husband went in about 10-15 minutes before close. It actually has said online that they close at 8 but the guy inside said 7 and refused to scan documents for him. Said he did not have time before they closed. Poor poor customer service. read more

Dealing with this store was a nightmare, NEVER AGAIN!!! Basically, my husband and I shipped our computers to Canada through this store since I was going to be staying with him for the next six months in his home town. First of all, the girl behind the service desk couldn't be bothered to help us. We stood there waiting for a good ten minutes until she even bothered to acknowledge us. Then she turned the screen around and said to follow the prompt after we told her we wanted to ship two packages to Canada. That was the end of her "help." Nothing was explained to us, and we followed the prompt. She didn't explain anything about customs, or possible fees, nothing. Fast forward two weeks when our computers finally arrived. We were told that customs wanted to charge us $500 for both computers due to "customs fees." We had never heard of such a thing, especially since these were our own personal belongings, and no such fees were explained to us from the worker from Office Depot. There were no signs, or warnings on the screen when we filled out the forms needed to ship the packages. We explained this to UPS and they were willing to drop the fee to $150. The boxes looked like they had been in a car accident with holes in the boxes, torn edges, the works. My husband's computer was totaled as well as my computer screen. Luckily my computer made it through just fine. We called up UPS (who Office Depot used to ship it) and put in a complaint. They contacted us and said that Office Depot would need to contact them since they are listed as the "shipper." We called this office depot several times over the next five months, and the manager (George) promised to keep in touch. This ended up costing us even more money due to long distance charges since we were in Canada at the time (Which ended up being almost $200). Still, George never returned our calls, never sent us emails (which we requested since the long distance charges were killing our finances). We tried to call head office and they said they would relay the message, and still we never received a notice. A few days ago my husband filed a complaint with the BBB, and a rep from Office Depot contacted us. She said that we didn't ship the package through them, and that there was nothing they could do to help. That we need to contact UPS, AGAIN giving us the run around. This has been an absolute nightmare over the last ten months. My husband was forced to replace the unit, which was worth $1000, and bought the same unit. This means we're out $2000 because Office Depot can't get their act together. Never again will I ship anything through their stores or UPS. I have never had such bad customer services and such a blatant lack of customer care. If it wouldn't put us in even more debt I would file legal action against these morons. Trust me, go somewhere else for your shipping needs unless you want your belongings broken with nobody willing to replace them. read more

They didn't have that thing at Target, so now you're here. Office depot doesn't specialize in cutesy office stuff (though they have some) it's mainly business oriented. However, as a purveyor of all things office-supply they probably have one of whatever you need, even if it only comes in black. Their new commercials focus on how "Office Depot saves you time" so expect to walk through the door and right in to a helpful uniformed assistant who can point you in the right direction for your quest. If you start wandering around aimlessly, expect to be asked if you need help multiple times (goggling at office supplies is for other stores). While finding supplies is now quick and easy, checkout is well... not. Expect even short lines to take a while due to few registers and a new "email my receipt" option. read more

It's more than easy to find an office supply store, but I keep going to Office Depot because they tend to have things I prefer. I love the Really Useful Boxes for storage and cleaning things up, and typically they have the Foray family of pens which prove a great, bright writing experience at the office. In regards to service, it's really touch and go. If you ask one of the employees on the sales floor where to find something, you'll get pointed in the right direction and be able to find what you need. But today at the register, the employees were trying to do too many things at once. It didn't get the customers through the line more quickly, instead it made for a more stressful and delayed atmosphere. If they would have slowed down and just done one thing at a time, I think the experience overall would have been better. read more

The manager on duty was a total ass! The other gentleman with long hair was amazing! But manager made me never want to walk in there again. I do thousands of dollars with them a year and I have sent plenty of business their way. This is not a place I want to do my printing or office purchasing there any longer as long as that manager works there. But the other staff was accommodating. read more

Terrible service, so rude. We stood at the counter and were ignored, when the guy finally came right up to the computer in front of us, said nothing to us for about a min, then asked "what do you want?" Not a paraphrase, he literally said that. I told him I needed to print off a profile that was on a website. I needed it as a PDF, but it would only save as a web link, so I came to print it off so I could scan it into a PDF file. He said they couldn't let us do it on a computer. My husband said, the last time I was here the guy allowed me to do that and he replied with "that guy was fired." So they are firing the good customer service reps and hiring rude men. I had to explain to him 4 times that the document was not on my USB drive, but a website and I needed to put in onto my USB drive. He was SO rude and obviously didn't listen. We went to UPS instead and they were SO nice and gave excellent service. DO NOT waste your time with this store. Go to UPS or FedEx. read more

This is my favorite office supply store. While the prices might be a bit higher than other places, don't you want better stuff? And when you join their reward program you can earn points that really amount to useful cash. The attention they give to the customer here is just right amount, a lot better than aimlessly wandering around Walmart tying to find someone to help you. This is the honest truth from someone who really shops here, and just to make sure that no one is confused, there is more than one of everything and everything doesn't just come in black. read more

My experience here included using the restroom and waiting while my friend faxed paperwork. The bathroom was kind of dirty, but my friend's faxing experience seemed to be satisfactory. If I lived in the area, and needed to go to Office Deport, and this was the closest location, I'd mostly likely go to this one. read more

Yesterday I ran out to pick up a few items for the studio including a double package of toner for my printerI realized this morning that the young man who checked me out did not remove the security sensors on the toner ....I take the toner back to the store (#2661 Humble Texas) and explained the situation to the manager. He looked a me strangely at which point I provide the receipt. He calls over another employee and asked who was working the cash register around 12pm yesterday. The employee was able to identify the employee who checked me out. I confirmed it based on his physical description. The manager then asked him to check the security cameras to make sure this was in fact the case. I asked him why is that important at this moment. He replied that they just didn't want it to happen again...at which point I asked if he could just remove the sensors and deal with that employee later. He said no and asked me to please step aside. I continued to press him on the matter and he said "we have to make sure it's a legitimate purchase". I followed by saying "that's what my receipt it for...it's the first item on the list". He then said "I know, but it's store policy to make sure the purchase was legitimate purchase". I asked for a refund. He refused to refund me until they reviewed the store security footage. I immediately contacted there corporate office and made a complaint while at the store. Of course they gave me the lame ass "I'm so sorry for your experience speech, I will pass your complaint along". I got my refund, made my complaint, left the store never to return again. read more

I would give negative stars if I could. I've been here for an hour. The printing section has taken an hour trying to figure out how to print 2 photos sent by email. Are these people not printing all day? They all act like they've never done this before. Poor management maybe? Lack of proper training? The UPS store runs smoother than this. Absolutely a terrible experience. My fiancée and I ordered out wedding programs to be printed there and not only were the employees rude, they completely screwed the entire order up the first time. Once we finally got the right order the employees folded the programs for us. Most of them are fine but some are a poor excuse for a fold. For what we paid for these, they should all be folded nice! Once we got to the last box of programs they weren't even ours! A completely different wedding parties. We called them and they said they lost the other parties number and didn't even contact them that they switched out programs. Their wedding was two days away and they put no effort in to fix it or contact them. They did nothing to discount our already expensive price. I would highly recommend going somewhere else to print things. read more
