I brought in a project for a client (restaurant). I was designing their new menu and needed samples to present to the ownership team. The menu I am proposing is a simple two sided "turnaround" style menu. I thought the job was simple enough to trust their services, big mistake. All of the menu pictures of hotdogs were converted to hamburgers, half of the menu was translated from English to numbers, and it ended up being three pages long! Now I'm out of work, living on the streets, and my reputation in the industry is tarnished. Thanks for that Office Depot, maybe you can print me a new Please Help/Need Money sign to hold up under the bridge at Kipling and I-70, but you would probably screw that up too. read more

Today I was helped by a person at the shipping and printing tech help area I needed to print an 11 by 14 on good quality paper. They assisted me quickly and were willing to write back and forth with me for communication access as I am Deaf. Really wonderful customer service! read more

Convenient location. Knowledgeable and friendly employees . I bought 2 box of paper Sonia helped me with the check out ,she also offered to carry those heavy boxes to my car. It was snowing heavily and she wasn't wearing any coat but she didn't hesitate to walk to my car with me. I wasn't feeling well so I really appreciate her help. Unimpressed. I stopped by to simply pick up some adhesive Velcro for work and since I was in a hurry I immediately asked someone for assistance in locating the velcro. The "assistant manager" gave me a blank stare, radioed someone and told me aisle 14. Aisle 14 had a lot of tape but no velcro. Once I figured this out all the staff disappeared so I wandered aimlessly until I found the velcro a few aisles away. Of course I had the pleasure of dealing with the same "I have better things to do" supposed "assistant manager" at check out. I am seriously hoping she just stole someone else's name tag as she spent my ENTIRE transaction chatting with the other associate. And not just general chatter - they were clearly pissed off about something and discussing it in detail. I made a huge mistake of letting them convince me they could professionally pack an item. They do not know how to pack, especially the young stocky kid with glasses and dark hair. The item arrived in pieces. Went back in and the lady manager told me to call1-800-GoDepot. I will go through their main office, after she told me nothing can be done. read more

Terrible customer service. They had an item on sale with a price of $15, but it rung up at $40. I let them know that they should remove the discount sticker associated with the item and the girl that scanned the item made it seem like I was in the wrong. After checking out with the items that I did end up purchasing, the cashier didn't say "thank you" or "you're welcome" when I thanked her. Staples is right across the street and are much nicer than the two employees that I encountered here today. No longer bringing my business to this store. read more

I ordered you to try a different source for your printing needs. 2 times in a row I went in and there was one person working in the printing Department. Super busy day and could get no help. Both copiers were down and the woman yelled at me and told me I needed to wait my turn. I picked up my stuff and went to Kinkos. Somebody who appreciates my business. read more

I stopped by there is morning for some legal pads and Flair pens. I needed specifically legal pads that were three hole punched with stiff backs. The only ones that had were with narrow ruled lines. Flair Pens were not to be found in the store either. The MOD (Manager of the Day) informed me that it was all they had and other couldn't be ordered. I asked where the closed Office Max was, and he informed me that it didn't matter, they were all the same company. I found the OfficeMax only two blocks away.. and they had an abundant selection of legal pads with three whole punches and a rack of FLAIR pens. The staff at MAX was warm and helpful, while the MOD at Depot was non-helpful and evasive. I felt that I had been lied to at Depot. Let's help them sunset this store. read more

I'm always surprised by how expensive it is to fax even a short stack of papers, but the service was friendly and efficient.

Had a great experience here - needed full sized blueprints made and only had txt message pictures on my phone.... they were open early and able to convert txt pix into 2'x3' blueprints in a matter of 5 min, incredible and saved me a boatload in terms of having guys standing around trying to read tiny prints. First I'd like to say that my review is based on corporate policies and not this specific store. The customer service in this store is average with the exception of a guy named Mark, who is a store manager I believe, and he is great! He is knowledgeable and helpful. My recent experience with the Office Depot Product Protection Plan should have the conservationists in as much uproar as I feel right now. I need to return an HP Officejet 7500A which is locking up and must be turned off and back on in order to use. I called the store and talked to Mark who gave me the number to call the protection plan office. I called them and had to go through a ridiculously long recorded process in order to get help. I was told that I would receive a couple of emails that would provide instruction: to print a UPS label and attach it to my package; take the package to a UPS store; and, then once the package is sent I would get a gift card in the mail that I could use to purchase another printer... about a 2-week process according to the sweet young lady I spoke to. But... before we hung up she indicated that I wouldn't need to send the printer back... just the receipt, to which I said thanks very much and hung up. When I thought more about it I wonder why I needed to waist my ink and paper, time and gas, and wait 2 weeks to get a replacement printer when I could just scan and email my receipt to Office Depot or take it to the store with me to get the new printer today. So I called the product protection office again. I ended up speaking with a manager who said that it was their policy and that the replacement isn't issued until the barcode on the label is scanned at UPS. I explained that this was a dinosaur process and that I would appreciate it if she would forward my message to upper management, to which she responded "I'm sorry you feel that way ma'am, have a nice day." This indicated to me that she didn't care and it wouldn't go any further than a gossip conversation at the water dispenser. I would recommend that when you are making a large purchase and buying a warranty with it that you check it out thoroughly as I will in the future. read more

I went in for some same day business cards. I started designing them and then their computers gave me an error. After that I spoke with the business services attendant who informed me that business cards take a week or two. When I asked why because I need them today, she mentioned they could only print 16and their cutter is crooked. Then asked if that was okay. I said it was not and that was the end. read more

I come in here occasionally for simple office supplies and every time I am shocked at the prices and state of merchandise. Once I needed hanging file folders- swear to you every single box looked like it had been thrown down 10 flights of stairs. Literally every box visibly beat up but still presented on the shelves for standard price. I also needed some plastic storage boxes- all were dirty, flimsy and way overpriced. Came in this week to buy a basic desk calendar and printer ink. The calendars were garbage quality and stupid overpriced, Fine, I'll just go find one for $5 at TJ Maxx. But the printer ink- literally $10+ more than Best Buy or anywhere online. They also had the same HP ink displayed in 2 different areas of the store for 2 different prices. I say "oh but what about this lower price I see over here?" Cashier says "probably just didn't change the lower priced ink sticker, it's likely this higher price" Probably? So you will charge me more because it's PROBABLY a price mix up? Why not honor the lower price you are clearly advertising like what is standard retail practice? They finally begrudgingly give me the lower price. Jeesh. Between awful pricing and pitiful customer service I'm confused why anyone would shop here? I may as well go to Target next time. read more

If you have a copy/print job that you need to be done CORRECTLY go somewhere else. They do not pay attention to what they are doing. I had spent a total of 20-30 hours putting together and designing a booklet and when I brought it to office depot to have it printed they didn't get the size right or even consistent. The folding was all crooked and the staples were off centered so the booklet would not open or flip correctly. I have never been so thoroughly disappointed in something that I have paid for ever in my life. read more
