Sean was a lot of help today!!! i had been going through a long process of simply to activate a phone, went to 4 different stores, everyday for 3 days, had been on a calls of 5 hours where I would get transferred over and over and then hung up on. out of 10 people that I interacted with he was the first person that gave a f***. The world and this company need more people like him and if you asked me I would promote him or give him a raise. It was so frustrating, since without a phone I can't even work. AT&T used to offer $10 warranty on screen protectors, recently the entire franchise discontinued this yet a whole bunch of people paid for this warranty. You're supposed to be able to go to ZAGG and still get the screen protector you need for the warranty price and I was told multiple different things at the time. Either they didn't carry the product at all or I was able to get it online, I figured out I was able to get it online and was told that I'm able to go into AT&T once the screen protector was shipped and they would put it on. Well that's not the case because ZAGG has to send you a certain tool which they don't send with your screen protector so apparently you just have to do everything yourself. What's the point of having this warranty? I can go to any literal phone store and get a screen protector for $10 and get it put on perfectly. The warranty itself was a scam on AT&T part and this isn't just about this particular store it's about the entire franchise. read more

As long as you are spending money and they are making commission, they couldn't care less about what the customer is asking for. To be fair, I was an unpleasant, button-pushing, a-hole when I came into the store. I was upset with ATT as most people always are, and I was upset with the way in which I was treated by a recently (and inadequately) trained employee. I had been talking to loyalty reps at a corporate office as well as the store employees, and the communication between the two is minimal/ineffective. The manager is spoke with is named Matteo. His approach was professional, prompt and completely honest with me at all times. (Especially when I accused the staff member of being a liar.) At this, he directly, yet professionally, defended his staff, his store and himself. Matteo made it clear to me that he would not entertain any unproductive discourse with his body language but never lowered himself to my level. He acted as the consummate professional even under duress. Further, his calmness (although immediately infuriating to me as I exited hastily) made me realize that I was being extremely immature and merely transmitting my frustrations to an innocent employee and his staff. I thank him and will use this experience to grow, as well as to remind myself that there are good customer service leaders out there. Thanks for reading. read more

There are things in life we all dread: the post office, the dry cleaner, doing taxes, getting our emissions done, and anything, ANYTHING that has to do with your cell phone bill. I had been dreading going to my local AT&T store since December to resolve a problem with my plan. I won't get too much into the nitty gritty but it involved having to bring two other people with me, canceling a line, adding a line to a different account, changing area codes, reducing a rate plan and half a dozen other things. When we initially explained our issue to Richie, the AT&T employee, his eyes kind of glazed over with all the intricacies of our problem. He then proceeded to work with us through our issue until we could all come to a resolution we were happy about. Okay, this resolution did take over an hour and a half, but that was due to the people Richie spoke with on the phone, and said nothing of his own mad skills. I'm sure that under any other circumstances I would have left with a migraine and a renewed hatred for all of technology. This guy turned a potentially hellish ordeal into a somewhat pleasant experience. He even gave me a few tips on how to get my iPhone to operate better. Since we did spend the better part of an afternoon in the store, I also had a chance to observe their other employees and their interactions with customers. It was a busy Saturday afternoon that included crying babies, non-english speaking customers and a lady who I'm pretty sure was drunk and didn't eve own a cell phone - all the employees I saw were so kind and patient with all of these customers it was downright shocking. Did I enter a parallel universe in which all the apathetic losers that usually staff these kinds of stores had been replaced by knowledgeable and courteous staff? I'm not sure, but I wouldn't hesitate to go back and try my luck again. read more

I couldn't agree more with Rachel's review for this AT&T store. This one particular store indeed has the most courteous and knowledgeable staff. My husband and I went there twice already. First encounter was last year when we got an iPhone for my husband and the second time we went there again in June to get myself an iPhone and switched our plan to a family plan. Our rep was super sweet and the whole switching plan process took less than 10 minutes. Even on the day iPhone 3G S was released the process was fast and pleasant. While I read about lengthy unpleasant iPhone 3G S stories at other stores, my experience only took 15 minutes in and out. Later that day, in the afternoon, I went back there to complete the transfer from my old phone to my iPhone (yeah, I forgot to charge my old phone the night before. I felt so embarrassed, but hey! Nobody told me to do so :P) and the same staff members were still there helping people getting their iPhone 3G S. While waiting, I witnessed their professionalism in serving the customer. It was already after 5 pm and they have been at the store since 6 am, constantly serving people who stopping by at the store. Yet, they still show their spirit by smiling and never once being short to any of the customer. With all that, I wholeheartedly give this place and its staff members a solid 5 star. The worst store and staff I have ever dealt with! The store manager, Josh is supposed to be the supervisor what a joke. They don't take care of things when they say they will and don't ever call you back as well. My plan has been screwed up for months and no one seems to care after they get your business. Could not exchange phone that did not work for 3 days. Very disappointed with the service that I got from this location in the respect that I had my receipt and was charged immediately for restocking. The contact list would never load on my phone and the internet after several people in that location could not get it to work. On the day, I went in...the location manager told her employee. Charge him a restocking fee and tell him to go to another place because he has a discounted plan. Very insulted and would not go back again to this place for any reason. read more

This is where I go for my AT&T cell phone needs. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The parking used to be convenient right across the street but I found I can park in the structure behind and it is just as convenient. Prices are typical of other AT&T stores. I'm beginning this review with a big "thank you" to the fantastic staff members at this location. Whether with my old Roommie to get her iPhone or there on my own accord, the employees in this store are some of the nicest (and wittiest in one case) customer service providers I've ever met. Today I stopped by because AT&T mailed me a 25% off an accessory post card which allowed me to finally get a car charger for my phone which dies after four hours of being unplugged. Well, this girl took a step further, collected my information and had a new battery sent to me. I swear a heard a jingle accompanied by eyes blinking over folded arms when she handed me my car charger and I was on my way out the door (which she magically got to first to hold open for me). This is the worst phone company I've ever had. Was blatantly lied to about the cost of my bill, switch program is a joke, just got off the phone with them (after being on hold for 45 mins) and was told that it was going to be ANOTHER 30 days until I received my reimbursement for switching (it's already been 3 months that I've been dealing with this) and this was after being told that one of my lines was not approved because of a lack of information but then after "looking again" it was magically found and approved, but not for the full amount of the phone (which is what o was told I'd receive). And any time that you call to complain or with an issue all they do is basically tell you that it's your problem and try to get you to add direct TV to your package. Cell service is a joke, don't even get reception in my local grocery store. DO NOT SWITCH!!! WORST COMPANY EVER!! read more

We were helped, however, by a great guy named Chu who was very informative and helpful. For him alone I'll give this shop 3 stars. However, if they were adequately staffed they'd get a full five. Great parking-the Garage at Belmar is awesome! Customer service Knowledgeable and helpful staff I had "issues" with my LG Xenon where the touch screen was not frozen -- however more "preferred" to toggle from option to option without a pattern or any hope of regaining control. After a day and a half of driving to numerous Service Center outlets and technical LG phone" GURUS"-- I returned VERY FRUSTRATED and somewhat unhappy with my overall AT&T "Experience" Charlie at the Lakewood location helped. This guy- not only helped-- but walked me through all my options. I decided to get a new phone w/ new 2year contract as my old one was up in May anyways. I got to chat with him about all the new phones and various operation systems- Android, I phone and Windows. I actually spent the better part of an afternoon asking questions and trying out all my available options for the new devices. I decided to purchase the new Android MOTOROLA FLIPSIDE -which I really like except its tendency to eat through battery life. But thats nothing reflecting on good ole Charlie or the AT&T Store staff at all. Good experience=yes. Did I finally find the "Droid I was looking for?" yes. read more

ATT customer service online is far more effective and helpful than the manager at the Belmar Store. This place is the worst. I worked for AT&T for 38 years back in the days when phones worked on copper wire. With the magic of technology, some old farts like me just don't get it. My wife bought a new phone, so I got her hand me down but had no idea how to make it work. A quick trip to my local store for a new SIM card, along with much patience and guidance from Lori and my old number was working on my new phone. Screw this place. Screw this place right in the ass with a giant rusty nail. I came here to see about replacing my old iphone which I had for two years and it just stopped charging. I looked online and it said I was due for an upgrade. Some hipster douchebag with a bunch of tattoos and a cardigan "helped" me. He looked on his computer and also said I was due for an upgrade. So I pick out a replacement phone and he starts the paperwork when half way through he says "oh nevermind I looked at it wrong, you don't get an upgrade for another year". So I ask how much it would be to just replace the phone with same model and not upgrade to a new model and this ass wants me to pay $600 for an iPhone 4. I of course decline and ask him what my options are. So he shows me shitty cheap flip phones that I can buy for $100 until my upgrade comes up. No. He then informs me that my contract is up and says "let's get you set up with one of these (shitty flip phones) and I'll get your contract renewed" um...what? So I say "wait a minute? My contract is up?" And inform him that I will just be going to find another phone company where I can get a new model iPhone for a fraction of the price he is trying to charge for an iPhone4. Of course THEN after 40 minutes of telling me he can't do anything can he "go in the back and talk to his manager" seconds later he comes out telling me he can give me an upgrade for $99 if I sign a new contract. To which I agree and he gets me set up. This is where I kick myself as I should not have been so trusting and signed the papers and assumed I was not being blatantly lied to. I look at my phone bill later and wonder why it's so high. I received no discount on any sort of upgrade and all he did was apply a payment plan to my account for a new iPhone and I am now being forced to pay an additional $60 a month until I pay off all 800 for a phone when I could have just gone somewhere else and saved a ton of money. Here I was thinking that this employee was being nice and wanted to save a customer of over ten years. But I just got tricked into not only signing a new three year contract with these scam artists, but also being forced to pay an absolutely ridiculous price for a stupid phone which I was never asked to pay or even informed of at the time. As soon as I can break free from this place I will gladly do so. read more

I have had to go to this store a couple times, once for an upgrade, once to buy an iPad and once to get a new phone because my old one was broken. The last time I went was to replace my broken phone. I was in a hurry because of an unfortunate family sittuation, and I had to have a phone to alert the rest of our family what was happening. The gentleman who helped me was so polite and friendly and got everything taken care of in a matter of minutes for me. He went through everything with me to ensure I wouldn't have any problems, even put my new phone case on my new phone. He was sincere and I appreciated that he took the time he had to but didn't waste any of my time either. All of my other experiences in this store have also been very good. Everyone is always personable and makes it seem like they really care about the customers who come into the store. read more

Andrew was very condescending towards me as a customer As I was trying to talk to him about the phone I was wanting and who I talked to at AT&T, he walked off with out saying a word, then came back a few minutes later and informed me "We Can't Do This". I had called and talked to AT&T and was told when I was in the store to tell them what they told me and if the store has any questions to give them a cal. The only reply from Andrew was "We Can't Do That" and he refused numerous times to call and then in formed me "WE ARE AT&T". Let me see, the last time I checked, AT&T was MUCH larger then the hole in the wall store at Belmar. I have been informing all my work mates, family and friends (all of who have AT&T contracts) of how rude Andrew was and they have said they will not go there. I on the other hand will change carriers all together if the Belmar store was the only AT&T store left to go to. People like Andrew need some customer services training at the least. If I treated my customers that came into my place of employment like he treated me, I would be fired o the spot . That would be my choice to have Andrew fired immediately! read more
