Last year the clerk was amazing. This year I went in to make flyers, and the manager, Elijah, would not help me. All he would say is you got to go online. Go online where? For what. He wouldn't stop what he was doing to explain the process. Oddly rude and dismissive. Calling corporate headquarters. Last year it was a female running the whole thing. So sweet. I frequent this establishment quite regularly and the staff is ALWAYS so friendly, accommodating, professional, and very supportive. However, yesterday evening my first encounter with Ms. Phyllis Theriot, was rather disappointing and to be honest, very rude! Not only was she rude but was also condescending and this is why I chose to write this review. I hope she reads this and reflect upon how she could've handled this situation better! I'm not sure what the circumstances were behind her negative disposition towards me but it was not appreciated, at all!! Upon my conversation, I presented my fax paperwork with the completed cover sheet, and original receipt. I explained to Ms. Theriot that my fax had not been received by the recipient and was told the day prior by an Office Depot staff member to bring it in and they would resend it (via fax) as a courtesy. I was asked if I knew the person's name whom I spoke with and I replied that I had not but gave her a physical description of the person. I believe she was a Supervisor/Manager of sort. Mind you, there are not many workers at this establishment. Anyways, Ms. Theriot stated that normally when a person tells you they are going to extend a courtesy to someone, a name is usually provided. So, I replied to her that unfortunately I did not and if it would be a problem with my request, I would just return tomorrow and speak with someone else or locate the staff member in question. Ms. Theriot replied with, "Did I say it was a problem?", I was taken aback at her response, so I reiterated my previous response about returning on tomorrow. Ms. Theriot's mannerism and tone was not professional at all, nor displaying someone willing to initially assist! She stated her response a second time and I responded the same. She did eventually fax it and sent it to my email for confirmation but why did it have to result to the back n forth? Is she like this with other customers and I just decided to bring it forth? Was it a bad evening and she was ready to depart for the night? I'm not sure BUT, I didn't appreciate it and would like to not encounter it again! Going forward, If this should ever occur again, my concerns and thoughts won't be on Yelp! I'm quite sure Office Depot Corporate Office would love to know how professional their employees are! They would also agree that seeing 4/5 ratings is a lot better than 1-3 scale ratings. read more

The self copy machine could not help with the size print I needed, so I tried to get a print from over the counter and was told by the floor manager they close in 20min so I could not be helped. I started typing this review while waiting for my order and it was originally 3 stars. It's down to 2 now that I've finished my visit. I love Office Depot but it's always a hassle. Never ever easy. Never fast. It's as if the staff doesn't know how to work the Print & Copy area and has to ask for assistance every time I'm in. There I are 6 employees on duty and only 1 knows what to do but isn't that kind. They've recently changed the printing process. You used to email it to an address specifically for the store you visit, they print/cut and you're done. I preferred this method because I could tell the employee exactly what I wanted. Now you must upload it online via Office Depot website and hope you select the right things. You also have to pre pay since it's online. I didn't know it was a new process so when I arrived they've informed me on what to do. I had to have them coach me on what to select since the average person doesn't know the rules of paper. I also needed a 10x20 image printed but the only option is 16x20 online forcing me to pay more. I agreed to pay the higher cost just to get moving. Since the associate told me what to select (16x20) and said she'd cut it, I assumed I'd have no more further issues. Now, after I've paid, they are saying the image will print 16x20 and I can't do 10x20. Why would they help me place the order if they knew they couldn't do my size? As you can imagine, I'm frustrated. I arrived at 4:45 and it's 5:35 as I'm leaving with an image that I can't fit into my frame. I won't be using Office Depot anymore. read more

It sure seems that I have been visiting this Office Depot quite frequently in the past few months. As the guy in possession of the work credit card, I have to be present anytime we need supplies. I also get to pick where we go for supplies and this has become my go-to spot. One thing Office Depot does seem to have am abundance of is employees willing to help find what you need. They can get a little too helpful if you are just browsing, but I guess that's why they are there. This store seems to stay fairly busy and check out can sometimes take a little too long. Because it shares a lot with the St. Charles Tavern and Miyako parking and exiting your spot can get a little hairy around lunch time. I suggest coming during non-lunch hours. If you're in the LGD and need office supplies, come check out this Office Depot. read more

Woo Office Products...OK they're kind of boring but necessary. This store is small but has the essentials. And sometimes you can find someone to help who may know what he or she is doing. Bonus that you can buy a book of stamps with no mark up. Although the stamps are locked up in safe (or something) so a manager has to come retrieve them for you. There is a parking lot and also an NOPD officer since the bar/daiquiri shop around the corner has had...issues, let's say. Office Depot opened up this tiny store so that it comes up as the closest delivery location to the convention center. They make most of their money delivering to out-of-towners so us stop by shoppers are not their bread & butter. read more

Just leaving the store. Was helped by two gentlemen. Went in to get a chair and purchased one that I thought I'd like. They were nice enough to put the chair together. Good thing they did because it was not tall enough. Found another chair and they set that up so I could bring it on home. They stayed after the store was actually closed. To be honest, I don't find myself at this Office Depot often but I was in a rush recently and found myself closer to this location looking for name tags and card stock. I'm pretty familiar with the other location but as I power walked into this location I was asked fairly immediately if I needed help by a tall salesperson. I asked if they had name badges which he directed me to where one kind was. In my haste I said they weren't the right ones and he brought me to the other kind which I then realized he was right from the beginning and with no judgement he directed me back over to these. He then pointed out where the card stock was, and I was out of there in no time. I know this store doesn't seem to have the best ratings but if I can park easily, receive good customer service and be on my way in no time, that's good enough for me! read more

...on Lundi Gras I forgot my memory card at my hotel in Metarie. ...already parked I refused to head back. ...Walgreens was charging $42.95 for a 4gb SDcard. ...Thankfully I stumbled upon Office Depot where a friendly lady informed me that no only were the SD cards on sale (a 4gb SDcard for $14.99) but that she had a coupon for $5 off back at the register. ...Less than 10 minutes after walking into Office Depot I emerged $12 light in the wallet but with a perfectly working memory card. ...they even had a clean and free restroom - something almost unheard of on St. Charles during my Mardi Gras visit. The main reason I'm giving 5 stars is because of Ms. Terry. She helped me with a huge printing job for my job and she could tell I had a very specific way it needed to be done so she made sure to get it done for me right away. I saw her earlier asking for a break since she hasn't gotten one yet but still helped me as no break was coming to her anytime soon. She recognized guests from earlier days and knew exactly where their orders were and helped other associates who just looked lost. Ms. Terry is a superstar! Now let her take a break. read more

Like other Yelpers I wish there was a minus star classification. Ordered a moderately priced office chair on June 29th. Delivery was scheduled for August 12th; long wait but it was free. Waited almost two weeks after receiving confirmation of the order, Chair was not delivered on August 12th and decided on the next day to make inquiry. After exchanges of e-mail was informed that merchandise was no longer being made by the manufacturer. Office Depot held out for sale a product that is out of stock. I understand that can happen. However I am not notified until weeks after the order and only after I contact them when delivery is not made as promised. Still waiting for a response to my e-mail as to the reason for their failure to notify timely. Will not waste my time or money at this place that is probably on the way to " Ain't der no more." Called today, June 24th, 2020 and was on hold for over 6 minutes. Finally spoke to a "Christene" who initially could NOT find my order#, 513760981-1 NOR my account #. She could only offer to escalate my complaint and get back, someday. NOT holding my breath. This sounds like "Bait and Switch" to me. The technical staff are only somewhat technical...and if you have an issue you better know exactly what you want fixed..otherwise they will charge you $200 and just punch a few buttons and "Voila" your laptop is fixed...(get home, it's exactly the same as when I took it in)...So if you are not sure what needs to be fixed...you might be better off going to Geek Squad or some other tech repair company read more

Go elsewhere if you need a print job done. The staff are polite, but completely incompetent. I have put several orders in because I live nearby, and every single time it's done incorrectly. Beware of buying anything you may need to return at Office Depot. I bought a desk for my mom on 11/25 and was billed on 11/28 (next business day). After the desk was not delivered on 11/29, as scheduled, the order was cancelled. As of now (12/20) I have still not received a refund despite several calls to their 800 number and talking to a supervisor today. For some reason, it took a week to approve the refund (done on 12/8). I was then told it'd be 3-5 business days to get my refund, then 5-7 days, then 7-10 business days. So far, it's been 15 business days since the order was cancelled and there is no end in sight. The employees at the local store have been great but people at the 800 number just apologize and then nothing happens. I'll be taking my business elsewhere! read more
