Service needs to improve. What used to be a pleasant experience was rude disaster. Chaos at checkout. Attempting to navigate which register is open and decided to proceed to a self checkout with one person. Was then screamed at by a manager asking if I was in a line. When I asked what line, as there was nothing organized about it, he pointed to a crowd of people. They all looked lost and confused. Decided to leave the basket. Nothing in there was worth waiting through that kind of experience. Need better employees who care. Otherwise I will always take my business elsewhere. Never thought Walmart would be considered more organized than Target. If I could leave a piece of a star I would. Walmart and Costco here I come. read more

Rude workers early this morning. Went in for toilet tissue. Was told that I could get two packs on yesterday. I had two and was checking out and a man and woman worker accosted me and said "oh one is enough for you. This review is based on my interactions with Toya the customer service cashier. I went back to make an exchange for a bigger size shoes and when I walked up after she was finishing up with a customer, she totally look at me and went to one of her co-workers to help her co-workers. That was totally unacceptable and rude! If you have to step aside for any reason, you acknowledge your customer and ask them if it's ok if they can step aside. While they both walk off, I didn't know if someone was going to do my exchange so I asked them if someone is coming back. Toya didn't even stop to reply to me. Her co- worker turns around and told me Toya is the cashier that will help me out once she help her with an order. I can see they both was talking about me and I can hear Toya telling her co-workers people do the most which she is referring to me. I let it go because I don't have time to argue with someone who is not fit to be at the customer service area dealing with customers. She took her time to walk back to the customer service area. I gave her my stapled receipt and she told me it's the wrong receipt. I didn't realize that a few days ago the cashier didn't stapled all three receipt together since I had to return a shoe that they no longer carry and I end up purchasing a different pair that still didn't fit my nephew. She got frustrated and when I look in the bag, a receipt was in there and she told me rudely that it's been taken cared of. I try explaining that I didn't realize the previous cashier didn't stapled all three together. She just wanted to brush me off so basically she switched my exchange without entering it to the system. No documentation that is going to change happened. That's really going to mess the inventory up. I've done retail back in the days so I know that was not the correct way to handle that. Great job Toya, I don't think you were trained probably for that customer service position. Everything would have gone smoothly if Toya would have done her job correctly and trained correctly as a customer service. I understand not all customers are right when they make a complaint. But as a customer point of view, you as a customer service cashier needs to look up and acknowledge a customer in your line. Don't ever leave a customer standing in line without asking or telling them you will be right back. I understand it's Labor Day and she might not wanting to be at work but that's not my problem. You are paid to do a job, do it correctly. read more

Bathroom was very dirty and not well kept. Toilet paper wasn't properly stocked and toilet seats were not clean. Additionally there were no carts available when you entered the store. I had to go to the parking lot to look for one. It seems like the merchandise isn't inspected well either. Lots of product boxes were smashed or partly opened. I did give an extra star because our cashier was super friendly as well as the lady who greeted us at the entrance with hand sanitizer. read more

No Target employee has ever helped me as much as Perry at the Target in Harvey. I had been searching all around town for an item, and the website stated that it was available at the Harvey Target. When I got here, the item was not on the shelf. Perry checked and found that there were 2 available in stock and gladly brought the products to me in the original box and unwrapped them. I thank Perry for his incredibly friendly and professional service. Never have I had better service at a Target. He deserves a promotion and a big raise!! read more

Although this Target is not as nice as some of the out of state locations. I still love it. There is something about this store that is less stressful than going to Walmart down the street. Target has a great return policy and the computer system they use is so efficient. I just used Target pickup today and I love it so much! Customer servicewise, you can not beat Target. Majority of the workers are friendlier and more helpful at this location. I also like that things are usually well stocked and fresh. The only complaint that I have would be limiting the self checkouts to people who have 10-15 items. People who have more than that hold up the lines. The person who supervises the self checkout lines are pretty good at keeping things moving though. Thanks Target! :) read more

While I would give this Target's Halloween section a 4...this Target is pretty Meh from what I experience this Saturday. Like most Target's the smell of popcorn wafts at you as you enter. Why the popcorn smell hits you like a ton of bricks is absurd, and I lerv popcorn. K moving past the popcorn. Checking out the shoes section, this area is incredibly unorganized. If you have the X-Men ability to change your shoe size (one that sometimes I wish I had considering only one of my friends have the same size feetsies) then opening boxes that say size 9 and getting a size 7 might be fun for you but truly, it'll start to make any Sasquatch feel a bit self-conscious. Their undies section is lacking in cuteness in this store, but if you're looking to go for the Little Mermaid look but are super lazy and like do be in PJs 24/7, they've got you completely covered (see pic). My friend wanted to shop for some office supplies, and again, lacking in organization and cuteness whereas the other locations really own it. read more

Probably the best thing about Target is that it isn't Wal Mart. Target is awesome because it has everything from clothes to toys to electronics to makeup. I usually stop in here (if I remember) to pick up my makeup, because it's at least $2-3 cheaper than other stores. They have a great grocery section and their selection of household items (microwaves, etc.) is fantastic. They are always good about having enough registers open for the number of shoppers in the place, and I rarely have to wait in a line. read more

Located in the same plaza as Ross, Rue 21 and Stage (right next door to them). I came by this location this evening with my husband. We ended up purchasing some bottled water and snacks while we vacation in NOLA. Layout of this store is similar to all the other Target stores across the US. Service was friendly at check out. By the way, if you take the shopping cart out of the store, be aware that the cart wheels will stop if you pass the yellow line, so make sure to park in the lot in front of Target if you need to wheel your purchase out to your car or you will have to move your car (like we did, lol). read more

Ok, I know my parents live on the wank but I took off a star because my favorite Target (pronounced Tar jayyyy when you want to sound fancy and what not) is in Metairie on Clearview. This doesn't appear to be as big as the one in Clearview and definitely not was big as the one in Kenner. I love Target better than Wal-Mart. It may be a littler pricier than Wal-Mart but seriously, I can relax in Target. The aisles are bigger, they have designers who do lines specifically for Target (can we say Michael Kors!! OMFG, I almost bought a purse, more like a large clutch because it was gold and would go with Saints and LSU outfits but I digress!). I appreciate that I can make groceries in this Target. Oh, and of course there is also recycling (to my knoweledge the only place you can recycle glass because curbside pickup won't take it). Oh and of course Target treats is works equitably unlike Wal-Mart. Plus, Target also gives back to the community as well, especially schools. When I review the Clearview one I will do an ode to my love for Target. I will also expound on my visit to the very first Target store in Minnesota and how I think it should be turned into a museum. This Target location isn't quite as big as the one in Metairie - and of course, they don't have the full grocery section like Metairie. However, you typically get in and out a lot faster. Parking is ample, the store isn't too crowded, employees are helpful, and the checkout lanes are normally only 1-2 people long. Oh, and the smell of popcorn always overtakes most of the front end of the store.... while I have never purchased popcorn at the cafe, the smell is always delightful. read more

Target is my chain of choice when I must go to a big box store. I only wish we had some super targets like the do in other cities. I recently went to this target to shop for Christmas gifts. It was a weeknight and although the store was crowded, it was a pleasent experience. The store was well stocked and the employees were very helpful. Very disorganized. The website shows a whole bunch of things on sale when you go to the store that's not the case. And then the lady at the video game counter refused to check me out because I wasn't buying video games. I wonder if she knows how many hundreds of dollars she just cost target. read more

The store is clean and well stocked; however, I do a lot of bargain shopping from a bargain website. The website told me that Target would have Valentine's day items available until today (but I went yesterday February 22nd). When I arrived I asked the 1st employee if they still had Valentine's day items available, she said "yes" and told me where to look. As soon as I got to the back of the store I saw a woman putting out Easter stuff so I asked her about the Valentine's day items. (The look she gave me said it all, maybe she should've called off). She stated you guys were all sold out, so I explained that I asked upfront and she stated, "these people don't know what they are talking about they don't even know where they are half the time" HILARIOUS right?? Well I thought so too, until I heard her say over the radio we have pulled the Valentine's Day stuff (not in those words, but that was the just of it). A young man then came over and told her it wasn't suppose to be pulled until today (February 23rd). Why write a review for a chain store found throughout the entire United States of America? Because we're in New Orleans and people should know that this Target is available to them. Yah there are many little mom and pop stores and I definitely believe we should support those. But if you are short on time and want to pick up a lot of different types of items, head to Target. Things you can get at Target without any worries: - halloween costumes (right now) - purses - $1 items - condoms - entire outfits for way under $50 - garbage pail - deodorant - comforter - dvd's Basically, everything. Except pets. You cannot find a pet here- but pet items are abundant! This location is just over the bride, has a big parking lot, and is usually very clean. Be warned- although items are very cheap you will probably leave with a $200 credit card bill. read more

This store was understaffed on the day we came but after searching for 10 mins we were able to find Terry on the other side of the store to help us in the toy department. Terry looked busy but quickly detoured to help out. When we couldn't find an item he readily went to check in the back for us. Four stars for him! read more

One of the worst Targets I've been to. Only 1 register open by a senior citizen, who is remaining calm while being the only person working (which I learned her name to be Ms. Alma). The rest of the employees are chatting, playing on sit-down carts, and going back and forth to the break room. I don't usually write reviews for big chained stores and I know this is a bad idea that I'm about to write a review based on experience and not my previous experiences. I'll admit that this place has a friendly staff that's willing to help but I feel like I don't see them much around the DVD area. The customer service is usually good and the place is organized and clean. My previous experience was just ugh! My mom and I had came here to buy a few things. When we went up to the cashier, we put our basket on the counter. The cashier asked us to take out the things instead so we were like ok. We took it out and let her check out our things. When she finished, the total came out to be $41 something. My mom brought out $41 and put it down on the counter while she searched for her change. When she realized she didn't have enough, she was looking through her wallet for another dollar. When she finally found it, she put it down with the rest of the cash. The cashier then rolls her eyes at my mom and I and sticks out her hand to us, signaling us to hand over the cash. We looked down on the counter where the cash was then she signals us to put it into her hands. Now what makes me upset is why are you so lazy?!? The cash is on the counter and you could have picked it up instead of telling us to put it into your hands. We're the customers and you're supposed to offer your services to us. Ugh, lazy woman! i know it's something small but it's just so irritating for someone to be that lazy to reach for cash. read more

Typical of Target and typical even more of the WestBank of New Orleans, setting myself up for failure by going w/Target and West Bank. Ordered a TV online this morning for pickup, received a confirmation of the order being placed and confirmation #, received an alert my order was ready for pickup, headed to the store, and guess what. Yep, upon arriving received another email the TV I ordered was now no longer available! Went inside the store and spoke w/the staff inside. Was ready to buy a TV on the spot, told there were no TVs in the store. Guess what the staff told me? You guessed it...'Oh, I'm sorry, if you ordered one online we probably had it and then when someone came in this morning we likely gave them your TV when they came in store to shop". As I said, typical of Target and the West Bank. By the way, I'm a CEO for a major company based in California, grew up in New Orleans area, and still have a home here, but this example is why I no longer make this my permanent residence. Will be posting same on Yelp and i know I'll get the standard answer, 'We appreciate your response and apologize for any issues, we'll try to do better next time, yada yada yada'. Same corporate America BS that one would expect, not the 'hey, we messed up, let's make this right asap'. We'll have a new TV for you later today or tomorrow, and an upgrade for the inconvenience. I heart Target 4-ever!!! Great quality items, fantastic clothing styles, and definitely unique. This location is supreme because of its location in the suburbs. That translates to great clearance on seasonal items as well as other items like a down-feather comforter clearance at $40!!!! The team members here are a bit DAFT if not, DUMB but you do meet a good number of them enjoying their jobs. The dollar bins in front of the store are the best: unique and quirky items that are seasonal and usually pop up 2 months before the celebrated holiday (xmas stuff out in september, and v-day items out during december)...these things are not to be missed - buy them on the day you see them! very rarely will the good stuff go on clearance (so those $1 items will become 50% or even 75% off). docking one star b/c of the idiots in the cafe - refused to give me a dome lid for my soft drink b/c i didnt get a damn icee and they were out of the regular ones. if i were to spill my drink b/c you refused to give me a lid (even a dome one would suffice) and a customer SLIPPED, who's fault would that be on? psh, negligence on target... read more

I just left the store at 10:19 PM after waiting in line for 10+ minutes to checkout because there was only one line in the entire store open. The self checkout lines were lit up and looked to be completely functional but had them roped off even though they weren't closed. Seems like this is the perfect time for the self checkouts to do what target put them there to do but instead every customer has to wait in line unnecessarily. read more

So I made an online order at 8am on Tuesday 12/1/20 and I know how it goes how they hold your money and they let you know when to come pick up your order! Well they canceled my order for the element 50" tv $179 bc out of stock. Well I go to the store and ask them about it and if they could accommodate me some how because I was out of money and a tv now! I called customer service and they said to call my bank because they can undo the hold so I did and my bank told me they couldn't undo it bc it went through and was pending and they have to wait for it to stop pending now! So I'm pretty pissed because I just bought my first home and need one more tv for the living room and now I am having to wait for the amount I paid to be gone so I can purchase a tv! I am not satisfied about all of this because my kids would like to watch tv as a family and we can not at the moment now! And they didn't seem to care about my issue or my purchase there! And I was also told the tv I purchased online was sold that morning! I'm not sure if it was bought before or after I paid for it but I feel like I was just brushed off! When this place first open up, it was great. Now it is Horrible. Ghetto and rude service, I can not believe this is Target. It felt like I was in the hood! I had order some stuff online to pick up in store. I had my spouse picked it up. So some items didn't work out. I went to return it at customer service. The female with the bright orange eye makeup kept giving me an attitude when she scanned my items and said "you didn't get it from here,it's not ringing up" I said of course I purchased from here. She rolls her eye and kept talks no rudely to me. This is not the first encounter. This location is a disgrace to any other Target I've been too. Where's management at? I used to avoid this target location, but have been really pleasantly surprised the last few times I've gone. They are undergoing a remodel that is making it super swanky in there. The aisles are wide and easy to navigate with a cart. The shelving and carpeting and layout is getting a refresh and it makes you feel better about spending all your money here. I especially noticed the make up/pharmacy area felt spruced up and more like a department store feel. The staff were extremely helpful and all asked what they could help me find. They even helped me locate something they had in stock in the back and brought it to customer service for me. All the new lines for clothing and home that they feature are really on point. I recently redid my decor in my living room all with project 62/hearth and hand items and I get so many compliments, and all for a fraction of the cost of pottery barn/west elm. I think this may be my new go to target location. read more

When I visit this Target, they employees present good customer service when you get to the register. I love the items in the children's department, both boy and girl. The clothes are of good quality and they are reasonable prices. You also get good deals on house hold items as well. GOOD SERVICE, GOOD PRODUCTS... read more

4/5 actually helpful unlike folks at other targets in our area, the team here was actually very helpful. i was having a frustrating afternoon after trying to call and find an item over in metairie - one team member was in conflict with the other in conflict with their online inventory, etc. etc. anyways, this one was a surprise! it wasn't difficult to get to and i found that it was easier to navigate. i had at least 3 team members offer to help me within the first 10 minutes i was there. i felt it was clean and orderly. read more
