I went in the one stale that didn't have stuff on the seat...just to then realize there was no toilet paper not even just out of toilet paper but they did not have a holder for toilet paper. This is a chain office supply store that is convenient when you can't wait for an online order to ship. The actual facility looks very dated and dreary. There's a huge parking lot, but I've never seen a crowd in the store. One nice thing is that you can order items online, and the website will say which items are available for pick up at your local store within 20 minutes. I was dubious (Target and Walmart tend to require more like 2 hours to fulfill online orders), but yes, I received an email in fewer than 20 minutes alerting me that my curbside order was ready. I drove up, walked into the store (I didn't feel like waiting for what I assume is an understaffed team to send someone to my car), and on the right of the entrance was a rack holding all the online orders. I found my bag and was back in my car in less than a minute. That might have been one of the fastest in-store pick ups I've ever done! It's rare that I need office supplies, rarer still that I need office supplies that cannot be fulfilled by Target or Walmart or that cannot wait until a shipment from Amazon can arrive. But for those once every other year situations, I'm happy to use the Tampa Office Depot. read more

Started buying my things that I will need for my class to get a early start on it. Looking for bargains. I got a 3 pack usb for $15, a zippered binder for $8, stickies in different sizes for $12 and two reams of copy paper $14.00. A few other stuff. It came in at about $65.00. Not bad. Much like Staples, this is s dying chain relegated to help yourself and little customer service. These stores are basically warehouses where you need to do your homework prior to coming in. I wouldn't purchase a major computer or component from here - find it online or at Walmart instead. You can find some deals here if you pay attention online or get flyers in the mail / the newspaper. They're often attached to a total purchase, so you'll need to do the math to see if it makes sense. I'm gonna miss these stores when gone but times and delivery methods are changing. read more

Been coming to Office Depot all over the country for many years and I will say this location was the most rude employee after waiting 10 minutes for the lady to show up back in the printing service. Kept talking to her co worker about everything else instead of helping both customers that have been waiting 10 minutes then another 10 minutes just to print a couple sheets of paper off. I used to frequent this store because it's the closest office supply store to me. I usually buy what I need to online wherever has the best price on specific supplies, so I haven't been here in quite some time. I was in dire need of a replacement ink cartridge for my printer just recently and couldn't wait the 2 days it would take to get it from Amazon....so I checked the price at Office Depot/Max online and it was listed as $17.09. So I rushed to the store and ran in and got my slip of paper detailing the cartridge I needed and it stated $19.99. I pulled it up on my phone (what did we ever do before these things existed) and showed the cashier and asked if they would honor their price from online. They did, which was great.....but why should I have to check a price online before I go to the store to ensure I'm getting the correct (or just cheaper) price? I don't like that. I ordered baby shower invitations online to be printed and picked up in the store. The prints still weren't ready a day later than they were scheduled to be. However Simon and a few of his associates took care of everything for me when I went in the store to figure it out. They were kind, understanding, and patient. This location of Office Depot, though somewhat hidden is a bustling store. They have about any official product you could imagine & so much more! I love their printing section. The staff is terrific to work with & even help you save money. I love to run in and use the self copy center....quick, easy & painless. I also usually get all my busiest cars there. The have 100's of stock logos to choose from & can even work with custom logos, if you have the art work. What's a girl to do? I love, fast, efficient, friendly, & good prices wherever I go! read more

The copy service is horrible. They told me to upload stuff from home with resulting copies to be sent to my home in two weeks! When I called the store to find out how to send it to the store it took 30 minutes for them to determine that no one in the store knew how to manage the online link! I went to print but the usb to copy prints only PDFs. Not word docs. And the PDFs must be downloaded directly from the website not saved on a computer. The service in copies is deplorable read more

1st time here! I always go to staples right down the road. However they didn't have what I was looking for so I tried here. I will say bigger than Staples, more to choose from: and i found what I was looking for. Ive never even seen this location, because its hidden back behind other restaurants/stores. But it is right off Kennedy and Dale Mabry. Slowest staff ever! No lie, I wanted in line 10min and I was only one in line. When they had 2 cashiers working. So, I knew what I wanted when I when in, right, should have been a quick stop. This stop turned out to be quicker than even I expected. I noticed several staff passing me while I was searching for items , but did not stop to ask for help because I was still searching. After continuing to search, I finally asked for help, however, the dude did not wok at Office Depot. My school of thinking is simply this: if you work for a place and see someone you do not know, you ask if they need help with anything. This was not done. . . It was almost closing time for the store, and it was dark outside. The associate, Elliott, was so kind to walk me to my car. Elliott went above and beyond to call of excellent customer service! This is a review for the printing area. I had a fabulous experience getting some manuals printed. The file I had was HUGE & was way to big to upload online. I put it on a USB drive and took it to Office Depot (they were having an online printing sale at the time that I hoped they would honor). The clerk seemed a little frazzled but mostly because she wanted to help everyone as quickly as possible. I wasn't in a hurry so I was OK to wait. She plugged in my little drive and it started to load to the printer...very very slowly. I expected this because the manual was FULL of photos but the clerk kept apologizing for the wait. I ended up leaving the USB drive and she promised to call when the order was complete. I asked about the online discount and she said that she needed a hard copy of the coupon or something she could scan off my iPhone. I googled coupons and found a $30 off $100 print order. The register had already taken a discount off the original printing price so my order was $100.49 (including tax) which is what the online price would have been. Then she plugged in my coupon and I payed just over $70 for a print order that would have been over $300 at FedEx. She called a few hours later. I picked my order up that night. Do not buy a computer from Office Depot South Tampa . They will not stand behind their product. You must buy their extended warranty even if the computer is less than 30 days from purchase. They will not extend any help . Left with a broken computer. read more

I write letters and make little postcards to send home when I am traveling and I also buy all kinds of paper, so naturally I visit these types of stores when I travel. We had an issue with the man working the copy department person. We tried to talk to the manager , Kenny, but he was rude, wouldn't let us talk and told us that things change in the world so we decided that since things change we would change to the competition. Norma, Margaret and Eliott are great but when they are not working, the copy center is a mess. Terrible experience! read more

The customer service at the Dale Mabry Store is appalling. Attempted to return some paper that I purchased in another city because it was the wrong type--needed inkjet and bought 4 packs of laser paper. Attempted to return to the store and was told they could only refund one without a receipt. I later called the manager by phone, Kenny Maxwell, and asked if there was a policy that limited the number that could be returned. He said no, but would need to see. He recommend I speak to him directly. Bottom line my wife went to the store to make the return and was treated horribly, employees seemed incompetent and unwilling to make the return. Kenny Maxwell was finally called and he authorized the refund after much wasted time and frustration to my wife. Be patient when shopping at this location. They are challenged from a customer service perspective. read more

Went in yesterday to exchange a toner that an employee told me was the right one for my printer and after getting it home realized it wasn't. I met with the same employee who refused to assist me, then proceeded to tell me I was a liar and trying to exchange a used cartridge for a new one. I had proof of receipt and the toner still had the appropriate packaging and taping on it. Worst customer service I have ever encountered - then I contacted the corporate customer service and have yet to receive a call or email back. Go to Staples - it will be worth it!!!! read more

I would like to thank Kenny (Store Manager), Elliot (Assistant Store Manager), and Sean (Technology Specialist) for a truly positive experience! I had a new computer, but problems with the Windows 10 universal email app. The only "fix" seemed to be to restore my computer to factory settings--which Office Depot graciously facilitated. I feel that the managers and technicians went WAY beyond the call of duty in order to help me. As a result, I purchased Office Depot tech support for ninety days and I have already utilized their help, with success. I recommend Office Depot for their outstanding customer support and Office Depot Tech Support for their patience, as well as expertise. Thank you VERY much Office Depot! read more
