With 40 years in the automotive business, I've worked with hundreds of vendors -- and I can confidently say DEX Imaging is one of the most deceptive and unethical companies I've encountered. Our original contract was with Valley Office Systems, which was later acquired by DEX. Unfortunately, DEX has proven to be just as corrupt -- if not worse -- than the company they bought out. We were told we were signing a standard lease. In reality, it's a forced buyout. At the end of the term, you're given two bad options: pay an arbitrary, inflated value for the machine (plus fees), or pay full return shipping to Florida -- which can cost more than the equipment itself. That is not a lease -- it's a calculated trap. Their salesman, Jason, blatantly misrepresented the terms and made promises the company never honored. He claimed meter readings would be regularly checked -- they weren't. When we confronted him, he laughed and said many car dealers forget about their contracts and just keep paying year after year. That's not a slip-up -- that's predatory business. We even met directly with the Vice President of Valley Office Systems. He didn't deny the misrepresentations or the unethical nature of the contract -- he simply said, "It's a contract," and admitted he couldn't do anything about it. That speaks volumes. To make it worse, if you miss a tiny cancellation window at the end of your lease, your contract auto-renews for another full year. I've spoken with three other dealers in my region who were similarly misled by Jason and this company. Their affiliated finance companies are no better -- they are all complicit in this business model. DEX Imaging counts on customers being too busy to read every line of their convoluted agreements. Don't fall for it. If you're a dealership, small business, or anyone relying on print services, I strongly urge you to avoid this company entirely. Speak up, ask questions, and don't sign anything without a legal review -- or better yet, take your business elsewhere. read more

Please read these reviews first. This company was unable to provide the required part within two weeks. They later discovered that the printer model had been discontinued several years ago and only informed us after three weeks that the part was unavailable. Ms. Alicia subsequently proposed resolving the issue by offering a new contract under which we would pay for a replacement printer within the first one to two years while remaining bound to a five-year agreement. Although she is a persistent salesperson, her approach did not demonstrate good faith or a genuine intent to serve the client's best interests. unethical, predatory practices. they will try to rope you into a contract for equipment that will end up costing you 8x the retail cost of the machine, and you won't even own it in the end. their customer "service" will do everything to obstruct, deny, and deflect your concerns. Over the past nine months, I have documented numerous interactions--via both email and telephone--with DEX Imaging related to a commercial printer lease and service agreement. Despite repeatedly requesting transparent information and resolution, I continue to face delays, obstructions, and negligible customer service. Representatives frequently transfer me, claim to be "on vacation," or ignore communications. A manager I was finally connected with has ceased responding entirely. this is the single worst supplier of service i have come across in all my years of business. i should have read these reviews before agreeing to buy a copier/fax/scanner. they won'treturn emails or phone calls. they were supposed to pay off the old supplier of equipment but have failed to do so. therefore, i now get bills from 2 copier companies. i hope i have saved someone the agony of having to deal with them. forget the promises; they simply don't follow through. read more

I have to call and remind them every time they ship supplies that my printer takes a collection tank. Every time I call I have to spend 30 minutes fighting with the tec that the unit does indeed have a collection tank that has to be changed. I do not know what my company pays for this service but it too much for the service not matter the price. Would not recommend at all read more

Customer calls for service are ignored. For weeks I called to have a printer that's under contract repaired and for months they ignore it.

This company provides, literally, no service what so ever! Their sticker on the printer states to call them for service or supplies. They are the company that we pay each month. However, I am sometimes directed to call elsewhere for supplies. I ordered toner on Monday. Today is Friday. When I call to inquire, I am told I have to call another company. I have been asking for months why I am not getting an email to enter our printer usage counts. They have been estimating our counts and billing us for color that we almost never use. When we requested my email address be noted to send the count request to, they changed the email address for all location of our entire company. If I could give them company zero stars, I would. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for support. read more

They bought out a competitor that used to service us. We ran out of toner. I have now been completely out of toner for 3 days. They told us we would have toner no later than today. Well now they tell us it will be another 2 days. Just like it was two days ago. All we do is paperwork - we have to have printers that run. I am doing whatever humanly possible to get away from this company and sign up this very minute with someone else.. I suggest everyone else do the same. read more

I would not recommend this company at all. They are not forthcoming. Read your contract. Don't assume what the salesperson is saying is true and don't expect them to communicate to you what you need to know when signing on or cancelling. There are better companies out there. read more

I have worked here at DEX for almost 3 years and do not plan on leaving. I've worked for many companies over my 41 years and DEX is by far my favorite company. They are even working with me so I can work from home and stay with the company so I can move from the area. There are bonuses during my kids school start and end and a Xmas bonus which helps out so much when you have a large family. read more

Buyer beware. . . This company does not honor lease agreements. They purchased an excellent company that I had done business with for a number of years as a landlord. Since DEX purchased the company they have short paid the monthly rent continually as well as being 5-10 days late on their payments. Don't lease a copier - unless you like double billing, rude customer service, slimy sales people and broken machines. If so it's the perfect company for you! I've been stuck in a lease for over 3 years and can't get out - when I complain, write letters, etc. Dex says it doesn't have anything to do with the copier since their outside subcontracted billing company owns the printer and I must take up all issues with them, even though my contract is with Dex not the outside biller. Absolutely crazy they're still in business. And the CEO has the nerve to file press releases stating his goal is "quality" and "customer service" Dex provides neither. read more

I am constantly impressed with the response we receive whenever we have questions regarding what we need as our office grows, moves around, etc or when we require service on the equipment. On top of that, I see their name throughout the community sponsoring events and sports teams, which makes me proud that my company and I work with them. Overall, working with DEX has been fantastic. We currently have a contract agreement with Dex Imaging for our network printers & and for our copiers. Now, the salesperson that sold us the service did a yeoman's job in getting us up and running quickly. However, that is about the extent of all the niceties with this company. We have been dealing with the billing and technical department for weeks to no avail - with have questions and concerns about our bill as well as technical support issues that are not being addressed. We have sent a plethora of emails messages asking that somebody call us back - we are still waiting. We have filed a dozen complaints that have proven to be fruitless. This company has an incredibly heterodox, not to mention unprofessional approach to doing business. If you call and ask to speak with a manager, you will be transferred to some intellectually challenged yahoo who does not have the cognitive ability of a retarded mule. Nasty, despotic customer support manager. Do your research before signing-up with this company. There are many good providers out there - this is not one of them.
