This is a nickel and dime operation and when they know they have you under contract, they will take full advantage of it via hidden fees and no transparency. 1. They have a 3 line paragraph hidden within a 6 or 7 page lease that states you have to let them know you are leaving, or the lease will automatically renew. I was supposed to notify them 60 days beforehand, I notified them 45 days beforehand and they agreed, but kept my security deposit. Like I was going to get that back anyway. 2. They billed me $600 to have my phone number and mail forwarded, subject to a signed contract. Something they presented to me the day before my scheduled move out. By the time my attorneys would even read this contract, I wouldn't even need the number forwarded anymore. One would think this would be a courtesy (as it was anywhere else I rented), especially after paying them tens of thousands of dollars of rent over the years. They even wanted to charge us for postage! Nickel and dime 3. After the move out, they charged me $735 for "paint, patch and repair." This was a 100sq foot, single person office with maybe 6 nail holes in the wall to "repair." I calculated it was like $350 an hour to paint an office the size of a walk in closet. So the previous reviewer loves them now, but wait until you have to move out and they charge you to "paint, patch and repair" your office, which is surprisingly going to cost the same amount as your security deposit.

It wasn't a bad space. The room we were in was kind of on the small side, since there were 5 rows of tables set up in the room. They were those skinny little tables you see at conferences and stuff too, which was a little bit of a pain, but no big. What actually surprised me most was that there weren't more outlets. I had my laptop to take notes, as did a couple other women, and the only outlets were high up (like more than halfway up) the wall, and only on one side of the room. My laptop didn't die, though, so it worked it alright since I was able to charge during the break. Just a bit unexpected in a modern space. I was here on a Saturday morning, in a small workshop that only had about 20 people total, so I'm not sure how it would be on a weekday, but we were the only ones there during the timeframe of our event. That was nice because it was super quiet. A couple quirks about the building, if you're heading here: They have smart elevators, and though I'm not sure exactly how they work the guard selected the floor from his desk and told me which elevator I would take to get to my floor. There are touchpads just outside the elevators, and on the way down, the only option the touchpad fave me was the lobby (although if you work there, there must be a way to access other floors). There are only about 4 buttons in the actual elevator. Also--on this floor, at least--the bathrooms are secured and you have to enter a code to enter. Nice for keeping it clean and orderly, but it could've a little stressful if you forget the code! We didn't have any kind of tech issues or anything, though it was more than a little annoying to have to agree to get promo emails from them in order to log onto the WiFi--the space was being paid for; that seems like it should have been included in the rental fee. I'm also not sure if adding a slightly larger space made it that much more expensive or something, because the catered lunch we had was set up in a kind of closet-like alcove adjacent to the larger room we were using. But overall it seems like a useful space for small meetings or other events, presentation, or co-working.

We're current tenants of this space that was recently acquired by Spaces Works and although the…read morerate is great and the office receptionists are friendly, the heat hasn't worked over the last few weeks. Office management has suggested we move offices (which isn't very convenient when our items are here). We requested a $100 credit from Office management for the 3 weeks the office has been less than 63 degrees, and their rebuttal was they had not heard about the issue until last week (incorrect) and that no credit will be accommodated for the poor HVAC services. I would consider this pretty poor customer service for a new tenant.

I had heard of shared spaces but wasn't sure if it would work. I shopped around looking at various shared spaces and decided to go with Co-Lab. It was the best deal out of all the different co-working places. Miguel was very accommodating, loved the idea of having an IT person on site, and was able to set up a space suitable for my type of business. The best part is that I'm saving so much money running my business from here verses renting an office alone and adding up the cost of Internet, Office supplies, furniture, etc. Co-Lab is in a vibrant area with lots of businesses nearby. I've been able to expand my clientele just by being in this location and still maintain my existing clients. My clients even commented on the space, saying that it's such an improvement compared to my old location. Second, the neighborhood is so cute! There are a ton of shops and places to eat for your lunch break. Also, the attendant was really friendly and it has everything that you would find in an office. Lastly, I thought it was really great that they offer day passes because while researching co-working spaces I found that not everyone does. I would 100% go back if I were in town again.

We worked the rest of the day at a nearby coffee shop that was warm and friendly.
