This review is not directed to the store, but to the delivery department. I bought a $331.69 office chair that was supposed to be delivered the following day (today). I waited 9 hours for the delivery. They never showed up. I called customer service to find out what happened. The rep spoke with the delivery driver, and she said he told her "HE RAN OUT OF TIME" and he'll bring it tomorrow. If you're a delivery driver, how can you run out of time when you still have a delivery to make? So, everyone else's delivery is more important than mine? I paid $331.69 for a chair. I could've gone anywhere else to get a chair, maybe found one less expensive, but I chose Office Max. So tomorrow I have to miss work and wait for my delivery... again! I've been a customer of Office Max for years, but this has destroyed my faith in being a loyal customer. Printing or office supplies, sure. But I will find other places to purchase items that has to be delivered. Not by Office Max. read more

Went in 30 minutes before closing and all the workers still greeted me and were helpful. Really appreciative they didn't announce over the intercom every five minutes that they were closing soon. An item's price was mislabeled on the shelf and when it rung up for a higher price at the register the associate honored the advertised price. read more

I have shopped at OfficeMax for the last time. I purchased a desk and at check-out, TeleCheck would not authorize my check. It seems I do not have a "relationship" with TeleCheck (and I do not want one). I put the purchase on my credit card but here is the deal. I have spent a considerable amount of money in this store but there is no interest whatsoever in me as a customer. None. I have complained to corporate and got a standard reply e-mail. From now on, I will purchase my office supplies, furniture etc at Staples because Office Depot is part of the same company as Office Max. read more

On the check out, the sale associate asked me if I wanted to donate to the Oklahoma relief fund, so I donated $5, and went on my day. When I got home, I looked at the receipt and noticed that , I apparently donated to "adopt a classroom". I thought my donation was going to the Oklahoma fund. So, I called officemax and asked for the lady that checked me out earlier, this associate said that she already left for the day, so I asked this associate about the "Oklahoma fund" and she knew nothing about it. As a customer, I dont like being lied to. I will not go back to any officemax. They lost a loyal customer. Ill drive a few extra miles and go to walmart for my office needs. read more

Make sure you get their return policy in writing. Very difficult to understand whey their receipt says one thing on returns and the policy is different. read more

For years I've been shopping here and using Lori to copy. I should have written a review prior to today. But, two gentlemen--Kyle and Nivo--were extremely helpful. If they're not in management for the great customer service, I see them moving forward in their futures. Kyle was helping us when we purchased TurboTax, but when they went to pull the software, they were sold out. He was so nice to call and try to find it. Nivo overheard the conversation, so while Kyle was calling to find it. He thought he'd go double check to see if they might have some in the back. They worked as a great team. They both went the extra mile! Thank you...The price matching helped me avoid going to your competitor--Walmart!! read more

I brought in my mothers computer tower for repair. She downloaded Windows 10 and it would no longer load. Was charged $161.xx and told it would take 24 hours. 48 hours later I was called and told good news and bad news. Mother board would not allow Ethernet connection for internet access. I could get a refund of the $161.xx since they were not able to repair it to factory settings. Purchase WiFi card so I internet would be accessed or trade in on new tower. I decided I would take a refund at this time since she does have access via laptop. I was told by the manager they would not give me a refund since they got the computer running. It is not fixed which is what I paid for and I was told I would get a refund over the phone but when I was in the store was told something else. Not happy at all. I am now out $161.xx and my mother's computer is still not fixed. read more
