Told me my print job "had shipped" when I called and she didn't bother to call me back to say it was at the store ready to pick up. I have 2 friends named Max. One works as a truck driver, the other works in an office. This review is dedicated to the Office Max. I'm not a big fan of office stores such as this just because they're usually so expensive. This one is no exception and the prices are pretty damn high. Having said that, service was fine and they had exactly what we needed and we were able to get out within 5 minutes which we very much appreciated. Nobody wants to spend all day in an office store. It's almost as bad as spending all day in an office. read more

This morning, the manager unlocked the door at 10:02 am without greeting or apologizing to the waiting crowd. A customer at the service area asked how long he would have to wait for help. Instead of assisting, the manager argued with him, showing attitude from the moment she opened the door. The worker who was supposed to assist had arrived late, yet the manager continued to argue and refused to share her name with the customer. I found this behavior appalling. When I asked another worker for the manager's name, he said he couldn't provide it. I plan to report this unprofessional conduct and the disturbing actions I witnessed from the staff today. If you don't like your job, you should quit and find something else to do. read more

I just went into this store - there were 4 people sitting at a desk - I said I was looking for office furniture - they pointed to where it was. I looked at the furniture and at no time did any of those 4 workers come back to see if I needed help. I went back to them and ask if any of them was a manager - one man was. I asked why no one came back to assist me . I was told there was someone in that department to sssist . I asked I why none of them went back to see if I had been assisted. Because no one had. I looked at the manager and said, " this is very poor managing ". No apology from him . I will not return to this store. Their lost - had a lot of office furniture to buy. read more

I have very low expectations of stores like this since I usually end up at one of these on a quasi-emergency like when I was still running for office, prior to my dad's unexpected death, and picked up clipboards on the way to an event since I figured voters and paparazzo might get the wrong idea if I told people I would bend over and they could write on and sign the petition on my back. You only get one or nine of those stories in the paper until the locals start to talk about you in hushed tones. This time, clipboards already sorted from a prior visit to a different store, I was here for a printer. I had done some basic research to know that these huge ass plastic things printed things, natch. A helpful high school aged twink employee noticed I was looking uncertain and/or lost in the printer aisle so he volunteered his services. Now, you don't get that browsing the amazon for printers and that is why I prefer to buy things in stores so you can ask stupid questions and get help from workers, or if they pull a Target/Walmart and seem to have no employees ever actually working on the floor, then from a helpful shopper blessed with a Hank Hill master level grasp of complex topics relating to tech (propane) and tech accessories (propane accessories.) This employee was extremely helpful and well informed about the various differences among the printers and various printer related products. I expect he is the king of the millennials and had earned a Boy Scouts badge in all things tech and IT. I thought they all were basically the same thing, I don't have a Ph.D in Printerology. But he let me know they even use different kinds of ink and it depends on what and how much you are printing and all that. So I told him what I was going to use it for and he walked down the aisle and found the right thing for that. Then he explained why it was the right one. Then he walked me over to the ink aisle and let me know what the right thing was - and they didn't have it so he even volunteered that it might be worth visiting Best Buy nearby over yonder to buy it there since they had it in stock, or I could ship this to my house buying the "out of stock in this store item" and get it in a few weeks when the warehouse got around to it. Extremely helpful, what a nice experience from a well informed employee about the products they offer in their store and how they are slightly different from each other depending on how you are going to be using it. I felt like I had been transported to the 50s when workers took pride in the business they worked in and the items they sold to the sexy office-supplies-purchasing public, arguably the sexiest subtype of all consumers when they use their printers to print photos of moneycat seeking moneycat's digital grace for unlimited peace and blessings. VERY POOR service! I spent over a day trying to get pictures printed for an event, and they never came through. I kept getting one excuse after the other about how they couldn't retrieve my order, could print, when they did, it didn't come out right, etc. I - was-floored! I always have a great experience when I visit this office max. The staff is always helpful and I always need a lot of help! This last visit I needed to purchase a new printer, this guy talked to me in detail about printers and then helped me select ink and paper. They are always quick to help me to my car and to offer any extra coupons they may have at the register. They also give homeschooler discounts so I love that! read more

I arrived at 5:57. Store closes at 6. There were still 2 customers in the store. She was still ringing them up. Manager Christina said I could not come in for one item. Another customer walked up at 5:58 and she refused that customer also. This kind of poor customer service puts places out of business. I had a great experience here today. The staff was helpful. I was helped by a man that was the printing specialist until one of the tech guys could help me. I told them what I needed out of a laptop and they helped me with no problems. They didn't try to sell me anything that I didn't need. I also paid for the extra protection. The only reason they did not get that 5th star was they wouldn't give me a military discount or take a $15 coupon I had. I mean I'm spending $700 can't help a vet out? read more

Average office supply store. I came into the store shortly after they opened. I was in a suit and tie. I had to buy paper and ink cartridges. As I was looking at the ink cartridges, which coincidentally enough have security tags and are encased in big plastic boxes, when I noticed that "undercover security" was eyeing me suspiciously. I guess I look like a white-collar criminal trying to figure out a way to steal $90 worth of ink. Trust me, OM. I'm not going to risk going to jail for less than $100 worth of printer ink. For the record, I wasn't offended. It kinda made me chuckle. If I would have only noticed him sooner, I would have done more suspicious activity and walked around the store more just to make him get his exercise. read more

The store was run down, it looked really picked over and no one bothered to ever clean it up. The carpets were dirty too. The prices are also a little high, some cascading sticky notes we wanted were way too expensive to buy there. We did buy some colored paper and tape though which turned out okay. The staff wasn't really present, a cashier left when they saw the line and came back when she saw that the line wasn't moving now that she left (by leaving only one cashier). When we walked in the line was humongous with few employees manning registers. Doesn't seem very well run. Buy your supplies online, no need to go here. read more

Some things never change - this is still true at OfficeMax. Went shopping on Sunday for a few ad items - yes, they coerced me to cross their store threshold by offering low prices in their Sunday ad. As usual, by 3pm Sunday (first day of the ad) they were out of some sale items. Asked floor personnel for assistance - it was a no go! He offered no substitutions and no rain checks. Customer service???? The store is very dirty. Doesn't look the floor had been scrubbed and mopped in a long time. Even worse, the carpet throughout the store had stains in almost every other aisle. You would have thought they served food in this store. It was filthy!!! OfficeMax really needs to learn how to welcome guests into their house. To top it off, they were understaffed at the checkout with a line of 8 deep when I got in it. Amazingly the line was longer when I was being checked out. Cashiers made no effort to call for register assistance. Where was management? Going to STAPLES for my next office supply shopping trip. read more

Went to Om on 9/10/15 spent $1094.37 this was on a computer&extra memory. They sent the wrong part so went to get refund for the whole thing. When they process my refund I only got $1017.50 apparently $76.86 I won't get refunded until the warehouse gets the part back. It was not my fault that they sent the wrong part in the first place. I paid for part at the store I should get full refund at store. I will never do business here Again and should have went to Best Buy. I also plan on filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. read more

I don't mind paying it but don't tell me one price and then charge me another. Not only that but you didn't do the job right. Oh but when I try to get a refund you tell me no.
