If you're helming an event, you can't find a much better venue than this…read more I've been visiting the Assembly Hall intermittently over the years, and I've always found it to be a classy venue for functions and parties. Part-art gallery, part event hall, this is essentially Etobicoke's analogue to the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga. Whether it's a recognition ceremony or a gallery exhibition, you can be sure to find something of interest whenever you visit. I feel like this place is somewhat overlooked, being so close to the nearby Humber College campus (which steals some of its thunder) and the coffee house down the street, but it doesn't diminish the classiness of the venue. The only downside of the place is that the management could stand to promote the programs and events here a little more, because I had to actively go out of my way to find out what was happening there. The Assembly Hall is a bit out-of-the-way, but it's worth a visit if you happen to be in the area.
