Current furniture designs do not fit (too big, too close to the floor, wrong look, too soft, ...) our decor. Charlotte, our Ethan Allen designer took the time to visit our townhouse where she verified the problem. She suggested having our present furniture re-upholstered (which had been done about three times before). Charlotte helped us to select colors and fabrics to complement our existing living room. By email we were updated with the schedule. The furniture arrived in a reasonable (3 - 4 week) time. We are very pleased with the result. It is beautiful, comfortable furniture in our style at less cost than new and much less cost than redecorating. Our two cats approved of it also.

Also, I'd be remiss if I didn't discuss their fantastic Sr. Interior Designer, Charlotte Parent-James! This lovely woman, whose design esthetics were influenced from growing up in Europe, as well as design school, has an amazing eye. She paired my furniture with fantastic wall colors. She also made spot on paint color suggestions for my kitchen cabinets, which look wonderful in my open floor plan.

I was directed to the repair drop-off area in the back of the store, waited for one customer before me and then was helped for the warranty tool repair specialist (Brenden Swafford as I recall). He was knowledgeable, helpful and very pleasant to work with. I left the store after that drop-off. A couple hours later, Brenden called me, reported that the problem had been identified and that the free replacement part had been ordered. Now I am waiting for a call saying that it is fixed and waiting for pickup. A very pleasant and efficient process. I think they treat customers with respect in all the areas I was exposed to from entrance to exit to followup.

Ryan was helping another couple, excused himself to greet us and ask what our needs were. Since we'd been shopping for a couple of weeks, we were looking to "thin the herd", and sent him back to his other customers. He checked in with us periodically, and answered some questions and made some suggestions while finalizing the other couples purchase. When he finished, he apologized (unnecessarily) and assisted us in choosing a mattress. We'd already decided on an adjustable base (MF600 model) and he worked up a price that fell within our budget, and gave us some discount for our patience with him! Although the folks at the other Mattress Firm were very nice, we "pulled the trigger" and he helped us resolve issues with the financing company!! Go see Ryan. The best salesman out of the 5 stores here in Asheville. And by the way - Lance, who formerly worked there, and who is now at Mattress Warehouse lost us as customers because of his badmouthing Mattress Firm and his very pushy behaviour to get us to buy that day, despite us saying up front we were NOT buying then.

Bought a 6 volt battery for my Elliptical and four months later my elliptical stopped working so I…read moretook the battery back in to be tested and they did an on-the-spot quick test and said it was fine, testing at 5.8. As a result of that, I hired an Elliptical repair man who could not find anything wrong with my Elliptical and suggested I buy a new battery and test that. Those (in-needed) service calls troubleshooting my elliptical cost $267 and guess what? My elliptical worked perfectly when I put a new battery in, so again I returned the old battery to them, which they said they needed to test overnight to see if the 6 month warranty would be applicable. Lo and behold, that battery was defective! I think they owe me more than the cost of that battery. They owe me $267 for having to hire an Elliptical repair man because they in adequately tested the battery in the first place.

I also verified that I needed the vehicle present to program the fob. I double checked this twice because I live an hour away each way. I get there and the customer service guy told me that he doesn't have time for me. I'm the only one in the store. Turning customers away is unacceptable and I recommend going to Lowe's or anywhere else for your needs.
