Poor customer service at the printer counter from the Print Manager. Was rude and extremely dismissive. I only needed to print one page and he did not want to assist me with the print. He directed me over to the self service area where only one printer was working and there was a gentleman there with bulk printing having issues. Then he tried to act like he never received my document after it was confirmed sent multiple times, all because he originally did not want to assist me with my request. This was a manager by the way! Ironically the person behind me document came through just fine. All of this simply because he just simply did not want to assist me. Made me feel like I was bothering him, I literally was only printing a one page document. I'm a reviewer of both good and bad and this review is a bad one. I won't contribute to anyone's salary that is rude and unprofessional. read more

This OfficeMax sits in the large shopping complex that is anchored by Lowes and Target at the corner of Austell Road and East West Connector. The theme of most of the reviews here is the condition of the store itself. It is in rough shape and is in desperate need of some type of refresh/remodel. Everything from the counters to the registers, signage and certainly the floors is scuffed, worn, stained and in rough condition. I know they haven't pumped a lot into these stores over the years, but if there is one that really needs it...it is this location! Service was friendly for the most part. I was there for printing services, but also took a stroll around the store looking for a portfolio folder. I waited in line at the printing station for about 10 minutes before being helped or acknowledged. One associate was actively helping a customer, so I get not interacting with her, but another was folding papers behind the counter but did not offer assistance or even let me know someone would be with me soon. While in line a floor associate came by and checked on me, which I thought was great. Product wise this location is stocked with all the items you are used to at an OM and has one of the most well stocked furniture sections I have seen in an OfficeMax. Overall, this is your standard OfficeMax with no major service or inventory issues. This location does need a solid revamp, but even with that if the need arises I would have no issues revisiting this location. read more

OMG, This store is unreal. They can't figure out how to override a computer error. I bought a desk riser at the store on 08/15/24. It was defective. I returned it with a receipt on 08/24/24 and there was a computer error. They could not figure out how to refund me my money. I said open the drawer and give me what the receipt says. They called online and they could not figure it out either. They basically said they would not be able to help me. UNREAL Never buying from this chain again. Office Depot was the dependable option for all things from office supplies, art supplies, high-end stationery, and on demand printing services. Unfortunately the retailer, especially this location, has been pairing back and now the print services are disappearing. Add to the diminished product selection, the low level of customer service and you wonder when is a better retailer coming to the market? read more

Not sure why all the low reviews, but I do think the store needs to be updated. It looks like its stuck in the 80's. Other than that, the employees are friendly and will help you if you need some help finding something. Its your average "office store," and always keep an eye on their sales so make sure you are on their email list. read more

My last visit to this store did not go well, but I'm giving it 5 stars because of how the General Manager, Mark, responded to my unsatisfactory visit. Soon after my last visit I got an email from Office Depot about my recent visit and I took full advantage of the opportunity to give rather scathing feedback. I guess I assumed those survey results went into some kind of corporate abyss, but apparently the general managers do read them. Anyway, the general manager personally reached out by email, was very kind and apologetic about my unsatisfactory experience, and even gave me a partial refund on the item I had purchased. I was not expecting any of that. So for the above-and-beyond customer service, I recommend the Office Depot on the EW Connector in Austell. If you ever have a problem, talk to the general manager. He seems like a really good guy who wants to help. read more

I called today to see if I could have a Fax sent there as I don't have one at home. You have to ask for the Printing Dept. On the phone. They will receive a Fax for you, it is $2,00 per page. I frequently have things printed here. I always order online, and the copies are ready when they say they are. My only complaint is the weird practice of having everyone sign in and wait, even if you're picking up copies you paid for online. However, I was in Sunday and the helpful young lady - who was very busy helping customers - did ask if anyone was just picking up and she quickly retrieved my package. I also wanted to make cool or copies using my own card stock, and I received excellent assistance. I don't find the prices for printing and copying out of line. read more

If you ever need something printed, add a couple hours to the quoted time, then say a prayer on the way there. It still won't be ready when you arrive. read more

Customer service here is terrible. Bought a computer online, order was processed, was told to come pick it up then they said it wasn't in stock so they cancelled the order. Then they put the order through on my account 2 more times. It's been 8 days and still no Computer or proper credit back to account. Very bizarre and backwards customer service. Store managers name is Terry. If I could give him -5 stars for showing lack of concern or willingness to try and problem solve, I would. read more

Overpriced!! Be sure to shop around before buying in this store. We bought some labels and found 2 times as many for half the cost ar hobby lobby. I took them right back. To say the store managers provide the worse customer service, is a drastic understatement. An adjustment that could have been done in the store, was denied by the store manager. That's fine if your policy dictates that. But the attitude and condescending tone is not warranted. Barely speaking, pointing, acting as if I'm asking for an illegal act. Literally left the item in the store, walked to my car in the parking lot, called the online store and they happily fulfilled my request and allowed me to pick up the item from the store. Usually items are ready within a hour, but I assume the manager was upset I got what I requested by going around her, and have not fulfilled the order. Wasn't in a hurry for the item, but it just shows you the lack of customer service displayed by management. My next call is to the district manager. Brick and mortar stores are slowly dying and with horrible customer service like this store, this one will be closed soon hopefully. Ok be glad to drive the extra 4 miles to Akers Mills to shop, if I decide to continue to give the company my business. read more

This store is the sole reason why I will never again shop at an Office Max. They might as well follow suit and shut down this store like they did the local Staples. On multiple occasions, coming to this store was a complete waste of time. The store is poorly stocked, the customer service is nonexistent and they have policies (like not scanning licenses and passports) which are not in line with the company's corporate policy. Once I went there and the "network" was down. Today I saw multiple customers waiting around for assistance while 3 employees stood outside the store chatting it up. I try to stay away from big box office stores because they tend to be very overpriced. This was more than confirmed when they charged me $13 for 20 color prints on standard copy paper... The store itself was clean and the staff was friendly. Seriously, $13 for 20 copies is absolutely outrageous and I do not recommend going here. 1 out of 5 read more

I've reluctantly shopped at this Office Max over the years and each time I go there I vow not to go back. The location is the only reason I'm still going there. Today, (Tuesday) I went in there early with 18 sheets that needed to be photocopied. Because I wanted it on glossy paper instead of the usual copy paper, I had to have the employee do it for me. Now having been a secretary for 35 years, I know that this small copying job should only take about 5 minutes, considering there were more employees than customers in the store at the time. The employee told me he didn't think he could make my copies today because he had a lot of other jobs to do. I told him I'd have to take my order somewhere else then, so he agreed to do the job. So, he put in the first sheet and saw a customer come in. Instead of making the customers after me wait until he was done with my small copying order, he leaves the copier and goes to help the new customer. He did this every time someone came in (I stopped counting at 5) so my 3-4 minute copying job took nearly 30 minutes. (From 10:25 a.m. to 10:55 a.m.) When you come in the store and look at the employees, they all look like they might be reasonably efficient, running around with their little head sets on. But no one is really customer oriented there. In the past, I went in to get a 3-ring binder. I asked the clerk what aisle they were on and she didn't know. So, she walked around with me and I wound up finding it and heading to the check out, while she was still roaming the aisles looking for it. Having had multiple experiences at this store, I have finally decided to go an extra few miles and have my copying done at FedEx or some other office supply store. I think management needs to look at how they do business and make some improvements. Time management and efficiency are clearly not a priority here. read more

Terrible customer service at this location. The business cards I ordered had some errors on them. They refused to give me any refund or credit at all. They did offer me a 50 % discount for a new order though. When I returned to make a new order they refused to honor it. I will never return to this location and discourage anyone to go there. Horrible Customer service at the printing counter. I walk in and the young man practically yells over the counter at me saying we are busy and I don't know how the wait is. Well what a nice way to acknowledge a customer. Every time I go there the line is long and you know there is a manager in the store who does not even come out to help the employees in this area. They need a better manager, better employee training or better yet just close down so someone better can replace you. There is obviously a demand for your service and I have yet to be satisfied with the service from Office Mac. I only go there because there aren't any other options in my area. read more
