Big shout out to the staff and Mr George from the West Coast for taking it to the next Fed Ex level!! I called and set myself up with the right person. George buddies me by suggesting I visit the store and he could walk me through label crreation. The Fed Ex website was down for two weeks and my situation was desperate and time was running out. The expectation surpassed the experience and George walked me through setting up the label and emailing it in PDF form to my client. The rest was history. Because I have an account my tracking for the package was simplified once the package was accepted in the FedEx ecosystem. Good help is hard to find, and George was leaving support to this location because of staff shortage. His normal office is in Buckhead near Phipps Plaza. When I need help, trust I will be putting on the extra miles if necessary to connect with George. The biggest challenge and area of opportunity is Fed Ex's phone lines. They connect you to anAI source that doesn't comprehend very well when the customer needs are urgent. Instead if you don't choose the correct option which is super slim it will disconnect you. I was disconnected on at least 8 times before someone picked up the phone. Fed Ex spends tons of money on this system without keeping the needs of the customer first. They're quick, and so very dependable in making sure your documents are printed in a very reasonable time. I sent some documents to be printed today, and I promise you, within minutes, Marian had called me to let me know, that my documents were ready! This location works together as a team. This FedEx sits on the corner of small plaza on Camp Highland that also features a Firehouse Subs, Tokyo Sushi and a few other eateries/services. The plaza sits next to the large Publix shopping center at the corner of East West Connector. I have visited this location a few times and have never had an issue. Whether it being dropping a package off, printing services or packing supplies, this location has always been able to assist. In addition to the normal services they offer, they have a small variety of office/school/packing supplies for purchase, as well as a self service section with computer terminal. My latest trip in was to see if they could print directly on envelopes and unfortunately they cannot. Service is always friendly and helpful. Even when there is a line, they keep things moving as fast as possible while ensuring to remain friendly. The store itself was well staffed, well stocked and well kept as well. Beyond rude service. Employee and manager just sitting around chatting when I walked in. Doing nothing. Employee started to help me and took me a while to get the FedEx account number for shipment. Employee didn't want any of that! She suggested I just pay for it on my own. Why? Zero other customers in the store. 0! I don't even understand the advantage to her of getting rid of the customer? She was doing NOTHING when I walked in and had 0 other customers. Did she just crave an empty store that much? I called Monday for a return pickup. First it takes 5 to 10 minutes to get to a person. Once you talk to a person you tell them you need a pick-up to have a large box return to a company. Once they find out I already have a return label that was sent to me. I say the pick-up will come on Wednesday between 12 to 5 pm. Well, I waited all afternoon and no Fedex came. I call them and was told that the driver was in route and would be at my location by 6:15. At 6:40 I called back and it was 6:50 by the time I got through. Told them there was no pick-up as yet and I was still waiting. The supervisor they put on the phone said they would be there by 8pm. Well no on came by 8pm to pick up my package. I have been using FedEx for my delivery needs for nearly 20 years and have been a customer at the 4624 Camp Highland Rd SE Suite 1400, Smyrna, GA 30082 location for the past 10 years. On December 19th, I arrived at the Smyrna location around 6:40 PM EST. When I got there, FedEx team member Kevin was the only employee present. Besides the customer Kevin was assisting, I was the only other customer in the store. After about 6-7 minutes, Kevin came around the counter and placed my package on the scale. Instead of assisting me, Kevin chose to help a customer who had just walked in and was having printing issues. This took about 5-6 minutes. Afterward, Kevin returned to the counter and immediately began addressing the customer who was in line behind me. His tone was abrupt and matter-of-fact. He mumbled something about needing to make a phone call at 7 PM and "she could go to another location" and " I don't know what to tell you". Kevin's agitation was evident as he paced back and forth, mumbling. His priority seemed to be the phone call rather than assisting customers. Up to this point, I did not feel his comments were directed at me because he placed my package on the scale. However, he then chose not to assist me, became visibly unhinged, and told everyone to leave, threatening to call the police. It was very disheartening to witness Kevin's lack of composure and customer service skills. This experience was simply unacceptable, and I am seriously considering alternatives for my shipping needs. I've never had a problem with this Fedex office. Employees are friendly and are always willing to help with packaging my items or answer any questions I have. I once received a Fedex package at home with our address on it but no one by that name lived at our address. Took the unopened package back to Fedex, and they took it back and did the rest for me, no questions asked. They basically send it back to the sender. You can also fax, make photocopies of documents and much more! read more

Terrible service! I walked in to drop off a return and I wanted to ask about packaging for shipping another item. The young man at the counter looked at me when I walked in and said nothing. After a couple of minutes of waiting while he typed on the computer he started laughing to himself and walking around the store. Still no greeting or "I'll be with you in a moment". After a few more minutes another employee came out, who was helping a driver, and after a moment said we'll be with you in a few. The young man then came back and took the package out of my hand and started to place in a box, still without saying a word to me. Another client then walked in and the young man promptly greeted him and told him he'll be with him in a moment. He then asked how I wanted to pay for the box I didn't ask for. I asked when did I say I wanted a box and asked how is it he hasn't said a single word or asked me what I needed but all of a sudden found all the words to acknowledge the next customer who came in after me? I have a business account with FedEx and I'm not interested in doing business with you all again the fact I ask about the cheapest way to ship a package that was less then 1 pound and the employee had no clue and it seems I was charged allot for nothing. I get good service if the right employee waits on me. Mario(?) always delivers good service but there is one young lady there that is in need of an attitude change. I don't know her name because she never wears a name tag. First time she waited on me, she argued with me about the way I wanted the printing done. I had been doing the same printing at 2 different Fed Ex locations in Seattle for at least 15 years prior with little to no problems. She did it her way and it was wrong. Mario had to step in and do it right. She rolled her eyes and muttered attitude the entire time. The second time she waited on me, she didn't argue but she did it wrong again. She told Mario to come do it by saying, "it's that man with them pictures again." Mario stepped in and did it correctly. She immediately walked over and got on her phone. If it happens again, I'm going to speak to a manager. She needs to be retrained or, if her attitude doesn't change, fired. I pay for the service but she acts like it's inconveniencing her. Popular location with excellent customer service. I came to send an urgent fax and was ambivalent due to the poor yelp reviews. To my relief, though there was a long line of customers at the package drop off register, I was attended to promptly. Experience: package drop off was saturated! All I needed was to print and fax. They had around 3 self service computers for printing and other services and one fax machine. You enter credit/debit card which charges you per minute. I paid for the fax upfront- $1.89 per pg. Service: there were 2 employees handling a lot of traffic, mainly the package drop off. I was there for about 10min and the line was making progress. Ample parking! read more

Fedex customer service is HORRIBLE. I submitted a complaint on the website . No one has contacted me. I contacted Fedex customer service on the phone. The guy made excuses and lied to me. I contacted Fedex via Facebook messenger. I keep getting passed off to other employees (Cindy, the manager) who ask me to repeat what I've already told to them twice! She even yelled! I caled customer service a second time. The employee told me she could not find my complaint, even though I was given an incident number by Fedex. I know it's Christmas time, but let me say it should never take 35 minutes for someone to ship off a small package anywhere when there is only one customer in front of them. This location SUCKS. The manager walked in 25 minutes after myself and another customer had been waiting. One girl working the entire store, alone 3 days before Christmas! She put my shipment in the system and told me to swipe my card, here is where I messed up, I had forgotten to ask how much it would be to add insurance. She said, "go ahead and swipe your card and pay and then we'll go back and add shipping." Not a problem, I swipe and the order processes. Then she says, "now I'm going to go back in and add the shipping and I'm going to have you swipe again." To pay for the $9 I ask. "No, I canceled the order, I have to process it again now." So wait, you just charged my card $40 and you are going to cancel it and now charge me $49? "The charge is going to fall off, it's going away." When? I ask. The manager interjects, "Ma'am, the charge will fall off between 1-3 days." What??? Why did you just have me swipe my card and pay to cancel and redo it. What if I didn't have an extra $40 on my card? The managers response ... "That's just the way our system is set up." My response. That's not acceptable. The young girl just prints out my receipt and walks away with an attitude. Didn't explain my tracking info, didn't say I apologize for not explaining to you what I was doing. Just walks away and you know what, even though that's TERRIBLE customer service, I would have walked away too, because it's stupid that she'd been left there alone 3 days before Christmas to work by herself. But don't think that's why they were slow. They are ALWAYS slow and understaffed in this location. Do yourself a favor. Drive 7-8 minutes farther up the road and go to the Paces location. After planning ahead, as is my norm, and placing an order more than a week before I needed it, I was disappointed to find that another company dropped the ball and did not complete my order as requested and promised. I found myself stranded two days before I needed the item and without many options. Five minutes before closing, I called this FedEx location and Zavier answered. He heard my cry for help and directed me to email my request right away. I received a call first thing the following morning from Marian who confirmed my order, shared my options, and provided various price quotes. One day later, the product was delivered right on time. When I think of professionalism, timeliness, and quality work, this Smyrna FedEx team, managed by Cyndi, comes to mind. I recommend this location (and team) without reservation! I was visiting friends in Smyrna and I bought several collectible items too large and fragile for my airline checked baggage. I took all my items to this FedEx office location and they handled the job completely and professionally. The employee Cyndi assisted me. She was friendly and funny and very professional. She supplied the boxes and the bubble wrap and took great care to over pack to protect my items while I waited. She also helped several other customers while doing this. The best part is the cost was less than half what the UPS Store would have charged me. All my items arrived in perfect condition in Kansas City exactly as promised - two days later.
