I am very happy with the purchase, but the assembly company, SPAR is another story. Marvin scheduled teh assembly with "German". Due to my schedule of attending 2 out of state funerals, the assembly was scheduled for April 2nd. That did not happen as "German" was a no-show. The date was rescheduled for April 7th. Michael showed up within the set time and was excellent and efficient. However, the hutch doors just weren't working as they should. No fault of Michael, but I think it was more a design flaw because everything he did should have fixed the problem. AJ, from Office Depot/Max got involved to try to resolve the problems. He and I had communications with Mark (management of SPAR) and he and I went through several phone calls to schedule someone to complete the job. AJ was very helpful and agreeable to swapping out the hutch I had for one on the show room floor (which worked properly) and now I was trying to coordinate someone to come out from SPAr to pick up the hutch from the store and deliver it to my home and replace it with the one I had that was not functioning correctly. I was told that this would happen "early to mid-afternoon" on April 20th. Well, about 4:30 pm that day I called and could not get anyone to respond, so I called AJ at the store and he again got involved to help me out. The hutch was finally swapped out only due to the willingness of AJ and Office Depot/Max to assist in accomplishing this. SPAR is horrible about communicating with the customer; Office Depot/Max is GREAT about communication. SPAR is NOT trustworthy - they schedule and don't perform or follow through, leaving the customer to nag them. Office Depot/Max is GREAT with being proactive for their customer! AJ and Office Depot/Max is excellent with customer service and very respectful of their customer!

Needed them quickly and they had to be in a specific size and card stock. Very typical order I am sure (sarcasm in case you didn't catch it) Within 30 seconds Jeremy knew what I needed and quickly and expertly scanned the photo, created a proof for review and then had their monster Xerox printer create the photos. Without needing to ask, Jeremy cut the photos to size and presented me a stack of photos in 1/10000th the time it would have taken me to attempt to create at home on my own color laser printer. Some times it is much easier and recommended to just let the professionals do the job! If you ever need photos copied and you are vaccinating on how to produce them, you should just go over to your local Office Dept or Office Max and let them take care of you. Life is too short to be stubborn!

The staff was friendly and even bought my empty cartridge. It wasn't until later when I realized that my re-manufactured refill cost more that a new HP cartridge. I believe in supporting local businesses, but I'm not sure what their value is. Anyway, it's my fault for not doing my homework.

I knew no one would be home so I requested for them to be delivered a few days later (Thursday) when someone would be home. Delivery day came and went and no delivery. I called his business phone several times and left messages (Friday). The business is not open on weekends (fine, no biggie). I called the following Monday and was given an explanation that his phone line was down and was not able to confirm his order with his the business he gets his products from but that he would deliver the cartridges tomorrow (Tuesday). I told him that no one would be home but requested delivery on Wednesday. He said he would do it no problem. WELL... on Wednesday I called to ask when during the day he would be able to deliver. He said he was waiting on UPS to bring his order. MIND YOU- I went in the Monday prior with the initial offer of getting the cartridges the next day AND this Monday with the same offer of the next day.WHY then on the date of delivery would he still be waiting on the products to arrive. Even with phone lines being down (IF that is true, I'm giving the benefit) why would he offer to deliver the next day if he didn't even have the product??? He had ample time to order and keep at his store in his inventory until delivery day. - So he states he would call me as soon as he received the cartridges from UPS and would be out to to delivery them to my home, he also offered to provide me with $15 OFF coupon on my next purchase. HE NEVER CALLED! By end of business hours I never received not even a courtesy call to say that it would be again delayed. Silence. I proceeded to call Thursday ( a full business week later at this point) as soon as the business opened. No one answered and I left a message and requested a call back. 3 hours later, I called again and no one answered and this time the mailbox was full. At this time I fully intended to go back to the store (hoping to make it before it closed as I work practically the same ours that this business is open). I received a Facebook instant message from my neighbor stating that she received my delivery for the cartridges. She stated that he told her he didn't want to leave my cartridges at my home because no one was home and asked if he could leave it with her. WOW!! No call, no nothing. Just went and delivered without notice. I specifically wanted them delivered when someone was home and I gave him days when someone would be and then he has the audacity to purposefully not notify me and then deliver when no one was home. I spent almost $300 on these cartridges and this is the result. POOR customer service, late delivery, and a measly $15 dollar discount on my next purchase...HA! I will NEVER EVER purchase cartridges from this business. I know things happen but a bit of communication could have gone a LONG way but instead he CHOSE to conduct himself in this manner. Not professional at all. I realize that one customer is nothing in the scheme of things but I will not go to the store and I will be sure to tell everyone not to do so either.

Staff were around, but I never interacted with any of them. It's crazy to me that back-to-school promotions have already started. Maybe there are year-round semesters here? My grad school started in mid-August for the fall semester, so maybe it's not wacky. The clearance section is small. It's in the left back corner of the store. There were some nice tumblers, but I have enough of them! The washrooms are at the back of the store. The women's was clean and nicely stocked. I like looking at rolling computer bags. There were a couple that were on sale, but they are all black and boring. I enjoyed looking at the brush and calligraphy pens, too. It was nice to browse around. I didn't find anything that I had wanted, which my credit card was thankful for. (236)

I stopped by in search of a drafting chair due to a higher than average desk I have at home. There were not many employees on the floor, so I was not able to get assistance in my search until I went to the register and spoke to the cashier. The cashier was super friendly and helpful. He offered to look up locations that may have them around the area, as drafting chairs were only carried at specialty locations or online. I wasn't that pressed, so I just asked for the location details. In addition to that information, he also offered other solutions for taller desks such as mountable keyboard drawers and trays. Sadly they did not carry those either, but it did give me good idea for a cheaper alternative. Overall, the location is dated and in need of an update, but the shelves are stocked and the service was top notch!
