Where do I even start! I've always been self-conscious about my nose. For anyone else, it may have seemed like a tiny bump on my dorsal hump, but to me, it sub-consciously knocked my confidence and was something I negatively noticed about myself day in and day out. After years of cheerleading through high school and college (getting knocked in the face as a spotter is not fun, but happens often), and a minor car accident a few years ago, the bump on my nose only felt and was more prominent as an adult. Though I went to a few ENTs as my septum was slightly awry, I pocketed the idea of doing something for myself away, though it was always in the back of my head as something I wanted to do. It wasn't until this year when I really decided, physically and mentally, that I wanted to do something for myself and looked into what it would take to make this small change to my appearance. I was recommended to check review sites like Yelp first to find doctors with positive reviews similar to what I was looking for - I immediately saw several 5-star reviews and before /afters for natural rhinoplasty performed by Dr. Gadaleta. I called his office and was relieved to hear he had openings for the following week. When going in for my first consult, the staff was extremely welcoming and calming, and Dr Gadaleta was reassuring and kind. He spent a ton of time listening to me; he made me feel heard and appreciated as a human and not as a patient. He followed up with how is experience in New York and in the Bay Area allowed for him to focus on how he approached any facial surgery results - natural, balanced and individualized for each person. I left feeling very confident he was going to be my surgeon, but that feeling was solidified when I received a thoughtful follow-up call and text from his Patient Coordinator, Kimberly. That's what really won me over - knowing how supportive Dr. G's entire staff was when it comes to each of their patient's results and happiness matched with his surgical expertise and social proof. When it comes to the pre-op, surgery and post-op, everything was incredibly smooth (even though I was insanely nervous). Upon request, Dr. G. created multiple morphed photos to help me decide on the exact projected outcome we were aspiring to, and Dr. G. and Kimberly answered my million questions even up until 30 minutes before the procedure. All of doctors, nurses and staff day-of were great to work with and kept me calm - even laughing! - that morning. Dr. G was very, very responsive during the post-op process and was always clear and reassuring in his answers to my healing questions. I had no issues following surgery - in fact, I was shocked at how well I could breathe just 3 days post-op. Even under the cast and bandages and even with minor bruising under my eyes, I felt like a completely new person on the inside and out. Once the bandages and cast was removed 7 days post-surgery, I couldn't believe how much my results already matched the morphed photo - and now that I'm almost 2 months out, I can say with full confidence that Dr. Gadaleta completely surpassed my expectations. My nose not only looks identical to the morphed photo we agreed upon prior to surgery, but I am sleeping better, I'm able to functionally breathe through my nose (which I didn't even realize how little I could before), and most importantly, I have more self-confidence in myself than I've had in years. I disliked my nose for over 20 years. 20 whole years! While I appreciate my strong Greek features, the size and profile of my nose always bothered me. I went to countless plastic surgeons in LA, NYC and Miami for consultations, but left the appointments feeling uncertain and never pulled the trigger on getting a rhinoplasty though I had always desperately wanted one. I visited Dr. Gadaleta in January of this year (2021) after being recommended to him for yet another consultation, but this time, it was different. I only briefly spoke about why I was in his office, then asked him to tell me what he would do to my nose. His response was perfectly in line with what I wanted to hear and what I wanted for my nose - and his bedside manner was unlike what I had experienced in the past. I didn't feel uncomfortable, rushed or that I was "just another number." On the contrary, I felt safe. Dr. Gadaleta took the time to explain what he would do - and why - photos, exam, etc. I didn't want a "new nose" where I looked like a completely different person, I wanted a refinement to improve the aspects of my nose I disliked and didn't make me feel awesome (the hump on my bridge, the projection, the drooping tip and the shape of my tip). The consultation with Dr. Gadaleta was the turning point for me. I knew that when I was sedated, I could trust him and in my gut, I knew I would be happy with the results. After that appointment, I eagerly scheduled my surgery. In the days leading up to my surgery, Dr. Gadaleta's staff called to confirm, ensure everything was in order pre-op, answer any questions, etc. Dr. Gadaleta called me, as did the anesthesiologist. On the day of surgery, naturally, I was nervous. Dee, my nurse, was an absolute gem at putting me at ease with her positivity, humor and compassion. As someone with anxiety, I appreciated this more than she will ever know. The anesthesiologist was attentive, too, and addressed my nerves. Next thing I knew, I was awake and heading home. The recovery was just was as Dr. Gadaleta explained almost to a "T." Follow-up office visits and check-ins from Dr. Gadaleta and his team were wonderful and timely. I am now 2 months post-op and I could.not.be.happier with my new and improved nose! Dr. Gadaleta made so many improvements to my nose (ones that I notice especially) and it still looks so natural. Turns out, I also had a deviated septum, which Dr. Gadaleta repaired, so now, I can breath better than ever. Bonus! I did this surgery for me, but the feedback from friends and family has been so incredibly positive and amazing to hear. I'm no longer insecure about my profile and I still look like me, which makes me equally happy and relieved. I can't recommend Dr. Gadaleta enough - in fact, I've already had several friends schedule their own consultations. My only regret is not having seen/meet Dr. Gadaleta sooner. Dr. has been taking care of my middle-aging face for a few years now. When he does fillers and Botox, it's with the careful planning and technique of an artist. He listens to what you want to change about your appearance and gives you the options (including any new products) and all the details and is so excited and happy to be able to find the best plan for you, and is happy to answer all of your questions. I have had laser and many different types of fillers as well. Nobody really knows that I had anything done, they just think that I look really good for my age. Dr. G has a very meaningful background story that makes it all make sense-his enthusiasm, precision, and care--and he is also a "real" artist in his spare time. I will be trusting him with surgery in the future. Dr. O and the staff at OG are down-to-earth and fun people with lots of knowledge and experience, and they obviously love what they do and enjoy their colleagues! He talked me through the entire process and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. He really listened when I stated my facial plastic procedure goals, and worked within that framework instead of pushing additional procedures. He did the perfect job at enhancing (as opposed to significantly changing) my features. The office is so lovely! I had a wonderful experience! I came in today for a liquid rhinoplasty. I only needed a small injection but I was ecstatic with my results!! A little bit went a long way- I saw such a huge difference! Dr. Gadaleta and Dr. Ortlip saw me today and they were so honest and professional.
