Dr. Mehta performed an incredible septoplasty surgery on the left side of a 90% deviated septum. The surgery went smooth. He was so kind and reassuring at all times. Even though I was nervous, he and his amazing anesthesiologist were always confident and have had several years of surgery experience. My recovery was strong- no pain or nausea, a couple of days of minor bleeding, managed with just mild medication. I also managed to sleep. And Dr. Mehta's post - op support has been incredible. He truly cares about his patients and has made a positive difference in my quality of life. I sleep better, and can exercise more. And I noticed better cardiovascular function aswell. I can't say enough about Dr Mehta and his amazing team. I got my septo-rhinoplasty done in Tijuana a couple of weeks ago and sadly my family doctor here in the Bay Area passed away while I was gone. Unfortunately, this also meant that I suddenly had nobody here to take out my sutures or to monitor my healing when I got back- and I was completely overwhelmed. Thankfully I found Dr Mehta and made an appointment, and I'm so, so glad I did. He immediately noticed I had a bad infection before he removed my sutures, and likely ended up saving the work that had been done on my nose in the process. He treated me for it right away and I was perfectly ok in under 48 hours. Not only was Dr Mehta willing to help me out even though I wasn't originally his patient, he was also available and responsive to me later that night via email and phone. For years, I could only breathe partially out of my nose...I saw an ENT about 30 years ago who said 'yes, you have breathing issues, but can't do anything-- deviated septum ...and i wouldnt have surgery... I could no longer breathe out of my nose after breaking it 3 times (twice in sports and once for being dumb). I finally went to an ENT doctor who said my messed up shnoz was beyond him. He recommended Dr Mehta who assured me it could be fixed. The surgery took longer than expected. Turns out my nose was in the top 10 worst Mehta ever worked on - such an honor! The inside of my nose was essentially an accordion. Even with this Dr Mehta said it was a success following the surgery. Fast forward to the black eyes, quick recovery and follow up visits, I can breathe. It sounds weird but the hardest part of recovery was learning to use my nose to breathe again. Exceptional practice. I went to see Dr Mehta because I couldn't breath out of one of my nostrils. Throughout the whole process I felt that I was in the most capable of hands with Dr Mehta. Plus, everyone at the office goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Dr Mehta gives you his cell to text if you have any issues post operation. UPD: Dec 9, 2022 I have updated the review, adding one star and taking down the photos, and here's why: Firstly, after I left the review, Dr. Mehta contacted me via email with apologies, mentioning that the same reaction occurred among other patients in other clinics because some of the components of botox\dysport had been changed. He assured me that they wrote to a manufacturer letting them know about the problem. Secondly, they offered me a complete refund for the procedure and asked me to remove the pictures. It's pretty fair. I got the money back; the terrible pictures are gone. And I don't want to lie or go fierce about it. Things happen. If the clinic and the doctors are ready to admit the faults, and offering ways to compensate for them, it shows professionalism. Stay safe and have happy holidays, everyone. I've been doing botox since 2019. I dont have any allergies, preconditions, medical pills etc. I usually do it twice a year. That helps to keep my forehead and brows fresh:) Since I am new in the Bay area, I spent about a month reading reviews about medical clinics, I called maybe 7 of them, and decided to go for Mehdi surgery for it had great reviews, it had a history and on the phone they were very specific and sounded like they knew waht they were talking about, answering my questions. I made an appointment, I was there on time. The office is ok, its clean, small but neaty. I explained again everything to a doctor, I specified that I dobt want to have a gloomy look, that I want my forehead to move and that the main concern of mine were my eyebrow line. The doctor said she wpuld do both botox and disport fir different areas. I paid 800$ for what you can see below. In the pictures you can see my results for the first 5 days. I called them and send them pictures, they said it happened sometimes. But it never happened to me before (since 2019) I turned to this doctor/clinic. I applied the cream my previous cosmetologist suggested and the bumps stopped hurting and swallowing. As a result- so now I have a GLOOMY look, my eyebrows line is NOT smooth, when I smile it hurts around my eyes. I am pretty sure its because of the technique the botox/disport was injected - it was either wrong or poor quality. I am NOT going back to the clinic and would not recommend it to anybody. read more

This is a long overdue review! Dr. Mehta performed my rhinoplasty, septoplasty, alar base reduction, and turbinate stenosis repair in December 2020 and I am so happy and grateful! I love my results!! Dr. Mehta is a genuinely kind and talented surgeon, he truly mastered his craft. His work is so natural that everyone whom I've told about this surgery says it looks like I was born with this nose and that it fits my face perfectly. I went from hiding my face behind my hair anytime I went out in public, to being carefree. I can't adequately describe how much this has changed my life but perhaps the best way to sum it up is relief. The constant worrying is gone, I can live and enjoy life and focus on more important things. On a side note, Dr. Mehta even let me shadow him in the operating room as a student! bad fortune came to me as a consequence of posting my medical experience online -- mehta refused to provide treatment during an emergency complication and refused to assess or document the problem. then he sent a coverup letter in the mail stating i had "chosen" to find another doctor (it was his breach of contract). i also recently found out mehta double billed me and my insurance company for the same medical procedures, and/or billed for procedures that were not provided. his office flat-out refuses to provide me or my insurance company with a receipt. my breathing is significantly worse, and i was completely defrauded for over $20k. i lost over a month of work. avoid this shady person -- find someone who behaves like a real doctor. read more

Dr. Mehta and his team encapsulate everything you could want in a team helping you with a procedure. I came to Mehta to have two facial moles removed. The whole process was quick and painless. Seriously. I'm not someone who is fond of doctors, let alone the idea of having something scapeled off of my face, but I'd return here for any future mole removals. Mehta was highly efficient and precise with his rem oval of both moles (with one being on the bridge of my nose). He was very conscious about the placement of his stitching to ensure the final product would not have any overly obvious scarring. On top of his impeccable work, Dr. Mehta is just an overall fantastic person. He advises on whether he thinks a procedure is even necessary, which I find very refreshing. When I first met with Jill, I was excited to try a diamond-glow facial. She addressed my concerns and explained step by step how she would customize a facial that my dry/ red skin could tolerate and how each visit she would assess my skin and determine what would work best for me. My nose has endured 4 operations (first, botched, second, corrected, then many years later, car accident) and now thanks to Mehta I've had my final operation. It will never look like Stana Katic's again (it used to) but the car accident took care of that. It is straight again, small to suit my face, and the extra bits here and there are gone. Mehta is easy to work with, and the result was better than what I expected. Make sure you get the steroid shots if the swelling doesn't go down. I'm very very pleased with my nose, and the car accident settlement more than paid for it. AND I've seen more than one surgeon who said "nothing can be done". Mehta took some cartilage from my lower chest where it doesn't show and RECONSTRUCTED my nose. Unbelievable. So grateful to James Wu MD for recommending Mehta! I can't say enough good things about Dr Mehta, his staff, and my entire experience with a revision rhinoplasty. I have met quite a few surgeons as it takes time to do research and consultations to find the right Doctor. Especially when it's your second time you are even more cautious. After I had my consultation for a revision I knew this was going to be my choice. I have not met a surgeon with the knowledge, patience, and understanding that Dr Mehta has. He shows he cares about each patient and each case. He will make sure you are on the same page from the consultation to the end. I am 4 weeks post surgery and so far am very happy with the outcome as well as my experience. From holes in my septum (to a prior surgery from a different surgeon) to a few other issues, all is fixed as well as appearance is on the right way as swelling goes down. If I could say one word about doctor Mehta I would say Trust. Put your trust in him. I had broke my nose when young and had a deviated septum. I had gone to other plastic surgeons before who made a mess out of my nose. I lived with it for years and wanted to get it fixed. My septum was deviated pretty severe and I really didn't think anyone could fix it. I was so scared of anyone touching my nose as I did not trust plastic surgeon anymore after my experiences. Eventually I just couldn't live with it and figured I was going to find the best doctor who specializes in noses. I looked in la and Bay Area and doctor Mehta was so kind. I was so anxious and untrusting even talking to him but he didn't make me feel rushed and always kept answering my questions. He is so gentle and good to you. He did show me on the computer how he would fix my nose and I didn't like it. Part of me felt what if he mess up but doctor told me not to pay too much attention to the computer screen and that in reality it will look like "what I wanted". The price quote was shocking to me. It was too high. It took me few months to make peace with it and going back and forth with a doctor multiple times for me to say ok I will trust him (this was really hard for me). I am just so thankful I went for it. My nose looks so good that I never imagined. My deviated septum is fully repaired and I can breathe better. I still can't believe how the doctor was able to do such a good job. Like he had to be so precise and perfect. After 6 month I injured my nose again and ended up with a rare infection. I could have lost my septum. Doctor at Kaiser told me it was just swelling and sent me home. Doctor Mehta told me to go to back to emergency the same night because he thinks it's hematoma. I went back and had to have two emergency surgeries. Had the doctor not told me to go back I would have lost my septum due to infection. Doctor Mehta was traveling but still through the weekend worked with my Kaiser surgeon over the phone on how to perform the surgery to get rid of the infection and save my nose. I was so scared through the whole thing and crying and doctor Mehta was there was to comfort me. He is so awesome. I would trust him with closed eyes. I am just getting around to writing this review! But I am so happy I spent the extra money to go to Dr. Mehta over other plastic surgeons I saw in the bay area because I LOVE my results. I told him I wanted my results to be very natural to my middle eastern features and that's exactly what he did! Maybe even a little too natural, because I was extremely scared of having a a nose which looked fake; but he definitely comforted me and told me the very realistic results I would have and outcome I would receive with my open rhinoplasty. The surgery center was busy when I arrived, getting real nervous, but I was glad I followed through with the surgery because even 2 years out I am thankful I met and continued to go through with it! Ironically, I use the photo and name of my flat faced (almost no nose) cat in my account (and I can't change it). Dr Mehta is the best plastic surgeon in the Bay Area. He is also 2 times board certified (yes people, that's the most important thing you have to consider before going under the knife). In a personal level, he is compassionate, wants to hear all you have to say and answer your questions and he is 24/7 for you. He is very caring, and as I said, will stay there for you. I wanted a nose that fitted to my face, and that is what I got. I didn't want a obviously fake nose that looks weird on my face.
