Well, another season of team beers at Ogden Pizza comes to a close! We enjoyed our fill of beer and a free large 2 topping pizza with a team of at least 8 coming in over the summer after our Ultimate Frisbee games. Today, we were told that special had changed to buy any sized pizza and receive your free large 2 topping pizza with a team of at least 8. Most times, there's one server working a few large tables of players. Sometimes they forget things, or something from the kitchen takes a little longer than it should. But hey, the food is plentiful and cheap and most of us aren't in a hurry to get home anyway. On the drink side, it's the kind of place you can still find a bottle Schmirnoff Ice on special (seriously, do people still drink that stuff? Apparently in Ogden! There was a couple at the other table and they each had a bottle). Pizzas will run you anywhere from $9.95 for an 8" 1-topping pizza to $27.50 for a large House pizza (ham, pepperoni, mushroom, shrimp, green pepper & black olive). The Create Your Own variety can turn into a bit of a choose your own adventure with 19 different toppings available. We got creative with a small back bacon, mushroom and green pepper pizza and a large with half spinach and olives and the other half pepperoni and banana peppers. Tip: Spinach and olives isn't enough to make a flavourful pizza all on its own. If you're going veggie, at least throw some tomatoes on there. Otherwise, include some meat! Other menu items include things like a steak sandwich, veal cutlets, mushroom chicken or beef/chicken souvlaki. They come with ridiculous portions and most are under $20. There's a decent list of appys, soups, salads, pastas and seafood. Don't go expecting gourmet. But if you're hungry, most of the dishes I've tried hit the spot! Note: I'm pretty sure the team special now applies to any night of the week. Double note: It really is all about the pizza. The crust is never burnt nor is it too thick, plenty of toppings and cheese... and it always comes out piping hot. Oh, and apparently if you live in Ogden or Riverbend, delivery is free!

I'm a big pizza buff and this still stands as one of my top three pizza places in Southeast Calgary. Very cozy almost diner-like feel to it and they also deliver. Food can be a bit greasy sometimes, but is perfect for a lazy Sunday dinner. I highly recommend the Billy's special and the dry ribs.

Solid 1980's pizza. Not bad, what I ate as a kid, not fresh but solid honest pizza.

Here's what we ordered: Mango boba - surprisingly tart and could've used a bit of sweetness Peanut chicken salad - flavorful and refreshing, with noodles at the bottom Fish tacos with sweet potato fries - the beer-battered fish was crispy and delicious While the food was solid and the patio atmosphere was great, the service really impacted our experience. When we were ready to pay, it was difficult to get our server's attention. My husband eventually had to approach her across the patio, and she processed our payment while standing right there. It seemed like they were short-staffed the day we visited, which might explain the delays, but the lack of attention was still frustrating. Overall, good food and a nice setting, but I'd give it 3.5 stars due to the service issues

Food here is just alright. Fish tacos weren't bad but the fish wasn't crispy at all. The quasedilla "tortilla" was a little thick. The meat in the BBQ rice bowl was pretty good, but the ratio of rice to everything else was too high. The salad was pretty good and quite a large serving. We had A LOT of trouble flagging down our waitress, especially near the end when we were ready to pay, which was quite frustrating and the main reason I'm docking stars. However, I will say the setup outside is really nice. There are hanging plants, pretty large tables, music that's not too loud, and overall a nice vibe. I think for a slow, casual evening out this place will have you covered.

The wine list isn't huge, but what they offer is curated and impressive. We ordered the Wedge Salad and Truffled Arancini. Both arrived about 15 minutes later. The salad was underdressed, and the Arancini, while hot, lacked the tomato sauce that would have elevated the dish. Minor issues, but we moved on. Unfortunately, the main course experience was disappointing. After waiting 45 minutes, our entrees finally arrived--at room temperature. At that point, we were too hungry to send them back and wait another 20 minutes. When we shared our concerns, the staff initially offered complimentary desserts, which felt inadequate given the circumstances. After further discussion, they comped both entrees and provided a $25 gift certificate, which was a fair gesture and appreciated. The GM and Bobby personally apologized and invited us to ask about "little surprises" in the wine cellar next time, which was a nice touch. Overall, great wine and recovery effort, but the kitchen timing and food temperature need serious improvement. Hoping for a better experience next time because the potential is there.

I followed the more than 48 hour rule to cancel the room without penalty and was told that its was during their blackout period and should have read the fine print. I'm really not even sure if that is legal. The hotel takes the full amount of the charge for the room at the time of booking, not at the time of check in and keeps the money regardless of when you cancel if it falls "in their black out period" that is not clearly identified when booking those dates. You better not have plans change or have a family emergency! RIP OFF. Buyer beware, do not book.
