8/9/21, delicious club sammies on croissant. Ogi Deli
    Carla C.

Didn't want to cook the day before turkey day, so we ordered sammies to go. Everyone was happy with their order. Lamb sando (Bilotza), Reuben, Tuscan chicken and deli club sando. Pleasant counter staff and quick preparation of the order. All very smooth and pleasant. We'll be back. == Ogi Deli offers online ordering. Re: online ordering: the website requires an automatic 20% tip, so we decided to just go in and make an old-school in-person to-go order. Just can't get my head around doing all the work online, being required to pre-pay a 20% tip and picking up order at the counter. Hard pass.

Traveling through Elko for work and found this place based off if top ratings. We couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised by such a quality lunch spot in a small town in remote e Nevada. The food was fresh and quick to come out. The staff was friendly and even spoke to the owner for a few minutes. The jamón gazta sandwich was grilled perfectly and I enjoyed the light lemon orzo soup. The sheep herders sandwich was HUGE - you didn't need a side. Don't sleep on the cowboy cookie - such a delicious treat.

    Lovely interior.

We drove from Reno to stay overnight in Elko. Arrived early afternoon, so of course we wanted a quick lunch before going off exploring. What did we want? Fresh salad. Ogi Deli's got them! We ordered two different kind of salad bowl. Both are fresh, plentiful, flavorful, and satisfying. No wilted anything there! Also I dislike too much dressing on my salad, but it was on the light side, and was perfect. The decor is clean and lovely. Clean. Comfortable. I can tell the many diners/take-outers are repeat customers. Staff is kind and upbeat. Wonderful all around. Definitely a great find. Will be back!

It's been a year or so since I've visited Ogi Deli. The last time I was there I tried the avocado toast, so I wanted to go back and try a sandwich. Boy, I've been missing out! On this trip, I tried the Nevada tri-tip sandwich, and it comes with an aujus dip, with broccoli salad. The sandwich was super flavorful, and the Aujus was really good! The broccoli salad was super fresh, and I loved the contrast of the sweet dressing and cranberries with the smoky bacon. I saw a few other sandwiches on the menu I really want to try and will definitely be going back to get them. Including the basque chorizo sandwich, the one with the pork loin, the lamb grinder and the big Dagwood one! I love that they use basque ingredients, seeing as how Elko is so rich in basque history. If you make a trip to Elko, Ogi Deli is a must try for lunch!

The Ogi Deli was a great place to stop for lunch. The person I went with absolutely loved it and thought it was their favorite place to eat in Elko Nevada. My sandwich had Basque cheese, which was really delicious. The sandwiches were good and prepared quickly.

I got the Italian and the Greek with chicken added, both where good, I did take out but the interior looked nice for a small shop and the service was great. Because I did takeout started to get a bit soggy by the time I ate it at the park. That's not why I dropped a star, I did so because I think if the bread was toasted a bit more I would have liked it more. And for a grilled sando it is maybe a bit pricy. Overall great taste, eat quickly and over toast bread, especially if it is sourdough. Still recommend as a try for sure.

We popped on in after a long trip up from Sac. It wasn't very late, 7 PM-ish. They didn't have much other than their little open faced sandwiches for offer. They were pretty cheap, I think several dollars per, and we grabbed quite a few to sample. Which was fine, but it would have been nice to try their other stuff. They had some pretty cool local beers on tap and the waitress was super nice. It definitely has that deli feel so not necessarily overly fancy but a good solid spot to grab some food. I wanted to try other things but it was fine.

From the lighthearted good energy country decor with bright color mixed with softer grays, there were things like bicycle on wall greeting us with the purpose of dreez. "FOOD " with the bike wheels forming the OO's, a cute family portrait of the namesake of this cafe, Dreez and a sign promoting strawberry lemonade mimosas! Next our server gave us a warm welcome and helped make decisions that involved a food sensitivity. And I haven't even got to the yummy food yet. My husband had the smaller of the two complete American breakfasts offered and it was quite a generous portion. A highlight was the sausage patties. I chose the half and half Benedict which was perfect because I couldn't decide between the two. I selected that one while still looking at the yelp app in my hotel room and it did not disappoint! Each half was huge. And the presentation was beautiful too. Wish I'd taken a picture! A specialty of Dreez' is the chili infused hash browns. They were great and full of flavor and had a delightful mouth feel. A bit of light crispy and just enough creaminess from the cheese and cream in them for balance. Though our super sweet and friendly server did tastefully warn against having them four days in a row for comfort sake, they were not overly spicy. Great flavors! Don't hesitate to eat here when in Elko, Nevada.

I ordered their Greek Goddess omelet, which traditionally comes with sausage, but I subbed in shrimp instead and WOW this is my new favorite omelet! The combination of the feta, sundried tomatoes, and pesto delivered a lot zest and flavor in each bite. Please keep this item on the menu forever! I opted for a side of the country potatoes with my omelet, and was disappointed when they came out covered in bacon and cheese, as nowhere on the menu did it say they came with bacon and cheese. Just a small inconvenience, and it won't change the fact that this is our new go-to breakfast spot when we pass through again in the future.

The dough maker, whom I believe was named Aliza (apologies if I have the name wrong), was there preparing fresh dough, which was wonderful to see. The Beef with Cabbage pastry was flavorful and especially enjoyable with their homemade "Hot & Spicy" sauce. While I would have preferred the pastry dough to be a bit crispier, I purchased it after hours and was still very pleased with the quality and taste. Overall, it was a delightful surprise and a very enjoyable experience. I also picked up one Chocolate Brownie with walnuts and a slice of their homemade Carrot cake. I had the carrot cake and it was outstanding! Fresh, flavorful, and loaded with carrots and walnuts, it was everything a great carrot cake should be. I've enjoyed desserts at five-star restaurants and have family members that easily ranks among the best bakers and this cake was delicious!!!
